Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide Part 2 – Tribulation Through The Ages

The Fuel Project study guide to the Book of Revelation.

This video explores the historical persecution of Christians throughout the ages.

What Mark is not saying is that the Roman Catholic Church officially reigned for 1,260 years, from 538 – 1798 A.D.

This fulfills the prophecies of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13, which state that the Antichrist beast will reign for 1,260 years (1 day in prophecy = 1 year, so it’s not 1,260 days, or
3 1/2 years, which so many Pastors teach), and they made war with the saints.

The Jesuits of the Papal Church still make war with the saints, but they do it by causing Muslims and the leaders of countries like China, to kill Christians.

It’s still the Papal Church who is causing the true followers of Christ to be persecuted.

Mark is not clearly identifying the Roman Catholic Church as the Antichrist beast of Revelation, the Little Horn of Daniel, and the Pope, the Son of Perdition.

All of the Protestant Reformers were in agreement on these points, but today’s Pastors have been deceived, and conditioned to only look to an end-times, one-man antichrist.

Perry Stone and John Hagee all think the anti Christ is coming out of Islam. My eyes were opened when I read Revelation 10:7. “There will be no more delay! But in the days when the 7th angel is about sound his trupet, the Mystery of God will be fulfilled.”

Hi Moe, thank you for your comment 🙂

Our Christian forefathers boldly witnessed against the Catholic Church as the false church, the Mother of Harlots, but the deceiver has caused today’s Christians to not understand what the great theologians have said:

The Westminster Confession of Faith declared, “There is no other head of the church but the Lord Jesus Christ, nor can the Pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof, but is that antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalteth himself in the church against Christ, and all that is called God.” (Source: Chapter 25, Point 6)

John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Church declared, “He is in an emphatical sense, the Man of Sin, as he increases all manner of sin above measure. And he is, too, properly styled the Son of Perdition, as he has caused the death of numberless multitudes, both of his opposers and followers… He it is…that exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped…claiming the highest power, and highest honour…claiming the prerogatives which belong to God alone.” (Source: Antichrist and His Ten Kingdoms, by John Wesley, pg. 110.)

John Knox, founder of the Presbyterian denomination in Scotland, declared, “that tyranny which the pope himself has for so many ages exercised over the church” and that the pope should be recognized as “the very antichrist, and son of perdition, of whom Paul speaks.” (Source: The Zurich Letters, pg. 199)

John Calvin declared, “Some persons think us too severe and censorious when we call the Roman pontiff Antichrist. But those who are of this opinion do not consider that they bring the same charge of presumption against Paul himself, after whom we speak and whose language we adopt… I shall briefly show that (Paul’s words in II Thess. 2) are not capable of any other interpretation than that which applies them to the Papacy.” (Source: Institutes by John Calvin.)

Martin Luther, father of the Lutheran Church, declared “We here are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real Antichrist.” (Source: The Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers, by LeRoy Froom. Vol. 2., pg. 121.)

John Wycliffe, William Tyndale, John Bunyan, the King James Bible translators, the Pastors of the Baptist confessions of Faith, Sir Isaac Newton, Jonathan Edwards, Charles Spurgeon, and many others; all identified the office of the Papacy as the antichrist.

The Son of Perdition has been seated in the Temple of God (in the midst of the Christian Church) proclaiming to be God, for the last 1,500 years.

But the deceiver causes Christians to look to an end times antichrist, instead of realizing that the Roman Catholic Church opposes the Word of God and the true followers of Christ.

Grace and peace to you in Jesus name,

Excellent teaching. I believe that too. They infected the church from “within”. Even the death penalty did not stop them. So right.

That’s why Jesus said in Revelation to one of the churches….Call to mind where you have fallen or I will remove the candle from it’s lampstand. That meant stop accepting pagan ways and turn back to the truth from God.
