The seven years of the 70th week of Daniel are the most important in all of human history, because of the truth about their fulfillment, and because of the deceptions that are based on them.
Below are two timelines that give an explanation for the fulfillment of the 70th Week on Daniel prophecy, which is found in Daniel 9:26-27.
The first timeline was fulfilled by Jesus Christ.
The second timeline features an end times Antichrist.
The first timeline was taught for 1800 years.
The second timeline is now taught by today’s Pastors.
The first timeline represents God’s truth.
The second timeline represents Satan’s deception.
Here’s the 70th week of Daniel, as fulfilled by Jesus Christ from 27-34 A.D.:
It starts with Jesus beginning His ministry of confirming the Abrahamic covenant.
For 3.5 years, Jesus and His disciples ministered to the House of Israel.
Midway, Jesus was crucified for our sins, ending the need for Jewish temple sacrifices.
For 3.5 years, Jesus disciples ministered to the House of Judah. Some Jews accepted Jesus as their Messiah, but most rejected Him and persecuted His disciples.
At the end of the 7 years, Stephen was stoned to death by the Jewish leaders, finalizing their rejection of Jesus New Covenant.
Here’s the 70th week of Daniel, as it will be supposedly fulfilled by an end times Antichrist, after a 1,986+ year time gap:
It starts with the Antichrist making a 7-year peace covenant with Israel.
For 3.5 years, there would be relative peace.
Midway, the Antichrist would proclaim that he is God in a rebuilt Jewish temple.
For 3.5 years, there would be Great Tribulation.
At the end of the 7 years, Jesus would return to destroy the Antichrist.
Notice how the structure of both timelines is very similar, but their story lines are diametrically opposed.
Satan is the master deceiver, who manipulates Gods Words to deceive men.

The consequences of the 70 Weeks of Daniel deception are grand!
It causes Christians to look for an end times one-man Antichrist, instead of identifying the Roman Catholic Church as the beast of Revelation, the Little Horn of Daniel and the Pope, the Son of Perdition.
This is the very reason that the end times 7 year tribulation deception was created by the Roman Catholic Church.
They were being accused by the Protestant Reformers of being the Antichrist system who persecuted the saints.
The Protestant Reformers told people to ‘come out of her‘, which caused millions of people to leave the Roman Catholic Church and be saved by the pure Gospel of Jesus.
The Antichrist is not just a man who will enter a rebuilt Jewish temple in the end times.
It is the Roman Catholic Church who has inserted itself into the spiritual temple of Christianity by claiming to be Christian, but they are really the old Babylonian religion of Sun and Satan worshipers. That is why they are called Mystery Babylon.
“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22,
The Roman Catholic Church has been seated in the temple and proclaiming to be God since 538 A.D. Antichrist doesn’t just mean against Christ, but it also means ‘in place of Christ.’ The Pope calls himself the ‘Vicar of Christ’ which means substitute Christ.

The 70 Weeks of Daniel is the only prophecy that revealed the exact year that the Messiah would appear.
Other prophecies pointed to the coming Messiah, but only this one told them the exact year that He would appear.
That year was 27 A.D., when Jesus was baptized and anointed, and then He read from Isaiah in the temple and proclaimed that He was the Messiah. 🙂
The 70 weeks of Daniel prophecy states that Messiah the Prince (Jesus) would appear after the 69th week (after 483 years). Calculating 483 years before 27 A.D., means that the starting point of the prophecy was 457 B.C. This matches the year that Artaxerxes decreed that the Jews were free to return to Jerusalem, and that they would receive his assistance in rebuilding the city and temple. (Ezra 7:13,20)
By putting the focus on an end times Antichrist, it removes the amazing fulfillment of Jesus ministry, and fulfillment of Jeremiah 31:31, “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.”
Despite their previous idolatry and sins against God, Jesus graciously offered the Israelites salvation. The foundation of the Christian Church is built on believers who came from the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
It de-emphasizes that the house of Israel and the house of Judah already returned to their land and were brought together under Jesus new covenant.
Instead we have been deceived to focus on the modern state of Israel as the fulfillment of prophecy.
To read a study that confirms that the regathering has already taken place, click on Regathering Of The Jews Deception
It removes the finality of Jesus judgment and execution of vengeance against the Jews.
In the Parable of the Landowner, the Parable of the Wedding Feast and in His “Woe to you” speech against the Jewish leaders, Jesus told them that because they rejected His new covenant, delivered Him up to be killed, and killed the prophets, He would desolate them, their city and the temple.
The “days of vengeance”, the “great tribulation as never has been before”, the “time of Jacob’s trouble”, resulted in a total of 1.1 million Jews dying from famine, disease, 10’s of thousands by crucifixion, 100’s of thousands by infighting amongst themselves, 100’s of thousands by the Roman sword; and the rest were sold into slavery.
Jesus told the Jews, “Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ “
The Sinai Covenant has been fulfilled and there is no way to heaven except through Jesus. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28
It causes Christians to not understand end times theology, so that they mistakenly support the state of Israel.
Since the Israelites regathered before Jesus first coming, there is no need for a regathering before His second coming.
Jesus told the Jews that Jerusalem would be trampled by Gentiles until the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled.
But the time of the Gentiles is not over yet, so if the people in Israel are Jews, then that would make Jesus statement false.
But Jesus statement is proven true because 97% of people who call themselves Jews ARE NOT descendents of Abraham. They are Ashkenazi Jews, who are the descendents of Turkish-Mongols that converted to Judaism in the 8th century, making them Gentiles.
To learn about the DNA studies that prove that most Jews are not the descendents of Abraham, click on Jews Who Are Not Really Jews
To learn why Christians should not support the state of Israel, click on Christians Should Not Support Israel
It causes Christians to believe that they will be raptured before they have to face the beast.
To read a Bible study that invalidates the concept of a pretribulation rapture, click on The Pretribulation Rapture Myth
Instead of being prepared, they will run around like the foolish virgins looking for oil for their lamps.
When the economy collapses, when there are food and water shortages, when WWIII pits Christian America against Muslim countries, when the world is cast into despair; unprepared Christians will become desperate for help, just like the rest of the world.
Unprepared Christians will be ripe to accept the False Messiah who offers food, water and peace. And they will be susceptible to worship the image of the beast, and deny Jesus, in order to preserve their earthly life.
Jesus told us to be alert and prepared.
The world will be desperate for hope and the fields will be ripe. Will you be able to help with the harvest?
Will you have a supply of spiritual oil of faith and love for your lamps, so that you will shine as a light in the dark world?
Will you be prepared to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of your testimony, and not love your lives to the death?

Hello, Augustin of Hippo and true Quaker George Fox were saved exactly 1260 years apart and they physically died exactly 1260 years apart. They and this time period are in about a dozen OT and NT prophecies, 8 indisputable dates prove it. Ask me via emails for very short explanations or read Quakers George Fox (watch for typos), Isaac Penington, Robert Barclay (1678 edition of his Apology…), anne robare / canabaptism yahoo com PS: I also understand what Dan 9:26-27 is about. The “flood” is the same “river” of Dan 12; Rev 12; it is very bad news for many people, Isa 24.
Hi you have a fine website It was very easy to post it’s nice
Thank-you for your teaching, David.
In reading Daniel, I have become sure that The King of the North refers to all manifestations of the Roman influence from Alexander’s death until the coming of Christ, and that over that time, this Antichrist spirit mutates through different guises. Clearly, the papacy was the main persectuting form of the Roman Empire in the middle ages. However, from Napoleon onwards, I think that the antichrist flame has been handed on to the secret societies. The Devil changed his tactics from persecution to infiltration & deception. The “age of reason” was truly devastating. I think that is what is meant by the expression “they will seek death and not find it”: people were so happy to discover that there is no afterlife, afterall (because Voltaire & co. told them…) and that death would only be followed by oblivion, no accountability.
A very interesting history book is “The Queen’s Necklace” by Frances Mossiker. It deals with the affair of the diamond necklace, which precipitated the intense hatred of Marie Antionette in France and the Revolution. The personal memoir accounts of the Abbe Georg ( a Jesuit) and Caglisotro (the Freemason) provide some truly fascinating insights into that period of history and the plot to overthrow the monarchy and abolish the church. As a Christin, you can see Satan’s fingerprints all over it. But most fascinating is the Jesuit’s deep hatred of Freemasonry.
Thank you for sharing that insight Christine! 🙂 There’s much to study, to expose the enemy’s grand deceptions!
Are you SDA? Very good information and explanations on the topics that I have so far reviewed. Your profile and background?
Thank you for your comment Roger 🙂 No, as my About Page says, I am not SDA, I am not a part of any denomination. I am simply a follower of the Messiah. Many things that SDA Pastors teach about prophecy is wrong. The fulfillment of the 2,300 days of Daniel 8 was not 2,300 year ending in 1844 A.D. It spoke about a time when Antiochus Epiphanes defiled the sanctuary and caused the daily sacrifice to be taken away for 2,300 days. His persecution of the Jews began in 171 B.C. and the temple was cleansed on December 25, 165 B.C., which is 2,300 days. Here is the link to that study
Daniel 9 – he shall put an end to sacrifice
And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering.
I understand that the “he” who makes strong the covenant with many to be Jesus and the “one week” to be the time between the comings.
It would seem then that in terms of grammar the “he” who ends sacrifice must also be Jesus.
But my difficulty is this: everywhere else in Daniel the making of an end to sacrifice refers to the evil action of an antichrist figure. So within Daniel does it not seem more exegetically consistent to see here another reference to an antichrist figure and hence the one who makes a covenant with many is also an antichrist figure?
Please note: I am not trying to be convinced of the dispensational interpretation I just would like an explanation as to how the apparent inconsistency is resolved or whether the “he” could refer to different persons.
The idea of the cessation of sacrifices in Daniel appears 5 times. Aside from Daniel 9 the references seems to be to Antiochus/Antichrist figure.
Thank you for your comment Lucy 🙂 Yes, the ‘he” is still Messiah. Just because Antichious Epiphanes caused the temple sacrifices to stop for 2,300 days, doesn’t not mean that all references to the temple sacrifices ending are to him. There is no inconsistency. Antichious stopped the sacrifices temporarily. Messiah stopped the need for temple sacrifices by His atoning work, and then in 70 A.D., he stopped them all together, when He caused the Roman army to flood the city to desolate the temple.
David pls i need some clarification between daniel chapter 9:24-27 and chapter 11:31-32. (Daniel 7:25) “He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times [of sacrifices] and the laws [of temple observances]. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.”
(Daniel 8:11-14) “It set itself up to be as great as the Prince of the host; it took away the daily sacrifice from him, and the place of his sanctuary was brought low. Because of rebellion, the host of the saints and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. … “How long will it take for the vision to be fulfilled–the vision concerning the [removal of the] daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes desolation, and the surrender of the sanctuary and of the host that will be trampled underfoot?”
(Daniel 11:31-32) “”His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation. With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.”
(Daniel 12:11) “”From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.
Thank you for your comment Lucy 🙂 Yeah, it all gets confusing because they use the same terms, so one thinks that they are speaking about the same event. In Daniel 2 and 7, Daniel is shown that there will be four kingdoms that reign until Messiah returns, which were Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome.
Daniel 7:25 reads “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”
It does not say that He (the Popes of Rome) will change the times of sacrifice or the laws of temple observances. He changed the calendar (times) to a Sun-based calendar, away from the Biblical luni-solar calendar. He removed the 2nd commandment (law) which says not to worship idols, and split the 10th into two, to have 10 commandments.
Daniel 8 and 11 give more information about the kingdoms of Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome. The verses you cited are foretelling about Antiochus Epiphanes, the vile person, who surrounded Jerusalem with his armies (the abomination of desolation) and killed 10’s of thousands of Jews. They defiled the sanctuary and caused the daily sacrifice to be taken away for 2,300 days (Daniel 8:14). His persecution of the Jews began in 171 B.C. and the temple was cleansed on December 25, 165 B.C., which is 2,300 days.
Daniel 9:24-27 is about Messiah, whose sacrificial death as the spotless Lamb of Elohim, caused the need for temple sacrifices to cease.
The need for the sacrifices ended, but the Jewish leaders continued the sacrifices, as they rejected the Messiah. Daniel 12 describes the time from when the Abomination of Desolation (the Roman Army) would surround the city in 66 A.D., until the Roman army flooded the city in 70 A.D., to end the sacrifices of the Jews in the temple.
Here is a study that covers this topic in more detail:

The pre-trib rapture is false no matter which of the two interpretations one leans towards.
Thank you for your comment Phillip. 🙂 I agree that the pre-trib rapture is false. Here is my Pre-trib Rapture Myth Bible study http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/pretribulation-rapture-myth-bible-study/
Hi David. Check this out. Their are 14 brief sections. Here’s the introduction and the first section. You can navigate the remaining sections from the index at the bottom of each section. I think you will appreciate this. I have only briefly reviewed a few of his other studies, but I was specifically led to his “Daniel’s 70 weeks” study and I don’t know if he is perfect in his understanding, but the study helped me and he is certainly not towing the company line of Rome, Inc..
His Seals, Trumpets, Vials of Revelation section makes even less sense to me than the Geneva Bible (Junius’s) notes, John Gill, etc. but we are all learning together and as you well know very often the “experts” and “scholars” are doing their best to undermine us every step of the way. Anyway, check the site out. By the grace of God my default setting is to learn from the Holy Spirit (1 John 2:27), but as you well know we are often led by the Holy Spirit to certain people’s work for reasons that become apparent as we increase in knowledge and understanding. So check it out. I think you will appreciate this man’s efforts. By the grace of God, may we both continue to learn and grow. Thanks David.
Thank you for your comment Jeff. 🙂 I’ve studied the fulfillment of Daniel 9 more than any other chapter in the Bible. If you’ve reading my many studies on it then you know that I believe that the 70th week of Daniel was fulfilled on time, after the 69th week, from 27-34 A.D. The prophecy does not say that the desolation of Jerusalem would be fulfilled during the 70 weeks. It simply proclaimed that would be the result of them rejecting the Messiah and having Him killed. So I disagree with that website’s explanation of the 70 weeks of Daniel. Keep learning and growing. David
This two part video gives solid evidence for Daniel’s 70 weeks prophecy beginning in 457 B.C. based on the Jubilee year. ChristianityBeliefs.org is on target.
