This End Times Deceptions Bible study reviews a video from Rick Wiles of TruNews.com, to expose that he is either a deceiver or he is very deceived.
In this interview Rick Wiles interviews Rebecca Sterling, who shares the ‘mind meld‘ that she says that received from the spirit in 1999, which is now coming true in 2015.
Here is my review of what they said, take it for what it’s worth. I’m not saying that she is wrong about everything, but how is it possible that the Spirit of Truth has not shown her or Rick the truth about the following topics?
She said that Ronald Reagan is one of her heroes and Rick agreed with her. That view lacks discernment.
Reagan re-established U.S. relations with the antichrist Popes of the Vatican.
He was the first U.S. President to take his oath facing the Washington Monument, the obelisk which represents Sun worship.
She said that she respects Jonathan Cahn and Mark Biltz, who teach about the blood red moons and the Schemita. Rick agreed with her.
Jonathan Cahn is teaching false prophecy, based on incorrect Biblical principles. He is being used by the enemy to cause the world to blame the God of the Bible for economic collapse, when it is the Jesuits who will cause that.

She says that there will be riots because lack of food, water, etc., which is no doubt true, but she backed it up by citing the fulfill of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

They said that America is Babylon and we need to get out.
Messiah commanded His people to come out of the influence of Babylon, which is the Roman Catholic Church, the Harlot, who has corrupted Christianity, and created many daughter false religions. Read All Roads Lead To Rome
They said that Jeremiah 50 and 51 is talking about America being desolated and hit by nuclear bombs.
It’s talking about the judgment of Babylon, the first beast of Daniel’s vision, which was overcome by the Medo-Persians.
She says that Obama is not the antichrist, implying that he is only one man. She says that she was told who the antichrist is, but can’t tell us right now.
Seriously? Antichrist is not just one man in the end times, but the office of the Papacy which has warred against Messiah and His Church since the 6th century.
By Rick and Rebecca not declaring that truth, they are either deceivers or very deceived.
Friends, we are at the end game! Every prophet and Pastor who is truly from the Spirit should be declaring that the Roman Catholic Church Popes and the Jesuit Generals are the enemy of Messiah and His Church.
If they are not, you should not be listening to them, as they are deceiving you.
I quit supporting Rick last year, after doing so for many. What bothers me, is he calls Catholics, Christians. I personally know more than several Catholics. They don’t even read the bible and most, of them have Never Read it. They say that Jesus was just a man. When Trunews interviewed the Palestinian woman in Israel and said she was a Catholic Christian, that did it for me.
I don’t hear him saying anything about the Antichrist Vatican.

Revelation 11:1-2 tells us to use the ruler of Scripture to see if what people teach lines up. Catholic monk Martin Luther did that, and he ended up posting the 95 Thesis, which sparked the Protestant Reformation, which led to millions being saved and coming out of the harlot church.

So glad I found all these comments! Not much on the internet exposing Rick Wiles & his “Tru”news. This man is a false teacher & prophet. He claims to be pastor of a Flowing Streams church in Vero Beach, FL. What are his credentials for pastoring a church? His co-workers refer to him as “pastor” Rick. And WHERE does he get all the $$$$$$ to pay for the media empire he’s building in Vero Beach? How can he support a full time staff of over 28 people simply on donations from listeners? My guess > the Vatican supports him.
I’ve been listening to Rick Wiles for about 2 years. He’s now on Christian TV. Evidently a lot of Christian networks are broadcasting his 3/4 truth > “Tru”news. He sucked me in with his insight & commentary of daily news but after a while I became unsettled in my spirit about his pride & arrogance > no evidence of
1 Corinthians 13 in his demeanor or presentation. The final straws for me are his now almost constant accusing of the brethren. One example is that he regularly ANGRY about their pro Israel, pre-trib Zionism. Regardless of your beliefs on present day Israel, Wiles’ condemnation and disdain for the church is unloving and used by Satan to divide and destroy. In the 2 years I’ve listened to him I’ve yet to hear him speak out against the Catholic Church & Pope. Rather he has commented positively a few times on things the current Pope has said/done. He never hesitates to speak out against Believers & Israel. In fact this last week (in November 2017) he spent an episode of his Podcast railing against “pre-trib Zionists” he calls
Hell-bound heretics, based on his interpretation of Galatians 5:19-21.
He also claims he needs his state of the art media empire and listener donations to “preach the gospel” in the end times. Some (definitely not all) of my issues with “Tru”news:
1) there are plenty of ministries out there who he could join forces with and do the same thing.
2) how much money does a person actually need to preach the gospel? Can’t they just preach the gospel without a media empire?
3) he claims to have been on the air since 1999. Isn’t that enough time to preach the gospel? In all the days, weeks & few years I have listened to him I have rarely heard him spend an entire episode preaching the gospel. Yet he has had this radio venue since 1999.
4) the ol ‘bait & switch’ routine. He’s constantly re-vamping his “ministry”. Way back when it started with a failed tent “revival” somewhere else in FL. Then it became Trunews radio & podcasts to analyze the news with a prophetic perspective & now it’s a TV show to preach repentance. I’ve heard him contradict himself so many times whether it is in context to his beliefs, opinions or plans.
I regularly pray for his staff & listeners that they would be set free from this wolf & see the TRUTH.

Yes David! Wiles refers to a dream he had that started his ‘ministry’. His daughter had a dream as well. I could claim I had a dream that God is going to give me a small island in the Bahamas to preach the gospel. Therefore if YOU don’t give me $$$ so I can reach the world for Christ it’s on YOUR conscience if the world doesn”t get saved, and quite frankly I question your salvation if you don’t believe MY vision.
But then if someone does give Wiles their hard earned $$$ they are fair game to be chastised and called heretics if they question his false doctrines or calling. This is exactly how Wiles operates. He holds EVERYONE in utter contempt > no one wins except Rick Wiles. It’s all about him.
Because he’s not registered as a 501c3 with the IRS I don’t think he is required to disclose his funding & donations. We will never know who backs his ‘vision’. It costs a lot of money to be on one television station, much less multiple stations. He has told his radio/podcast audience that professional media people who have seen his facilities claim his is one of the most modern & impressive. All this from little ol lady donors listening to his radio programs! His ‘church’ is evidently very ecumenical and follows much of the Episcopal or Catholic liturgies & formalities. Not that this proves anything. Perhaps a piece of the puzzle though. I still smell SOME kind of rodent!

I so agree, especially about Wiles’ arrogant attacks on “Zionists and Pre-Trib believers” (Darbyists?). It shocked me when I first heard his replacement theology rants a few months ago, as I was a newbie to his audience, only since he’s aired on TV. Anyway, to God be the glory, it looks like TruNews has been taken off two of the three stations he was broadcasting his hatred on, AND replaced by, you got it, Messianic teachers! Also, thankfully Zach Drew has seen the light and left the show. I liked him, and think he just got sucked in to some of Rick’s deceptions. So a couple of answered prayer—off the air, and Zach delivered (to hopefully better and righteous endeavors). Buh-Bye, Rick Wiles.

After trump was ejected claiming God told her age is giving America a reprieve. The next day he explained the conversation and said he knew God was talking to him also but he just couldn’t quite receive the word from god. It was right there but he couldn’t quite make it out. He was clearly cashing in on this woman’s prophecy I’ve listened to his preaching and it’s decinitely not anointed and I won’t even comment on his insistence if reading goths catholic apostles creed. He claims the “holy Catholic Church” in the creed is just the church as a whole but I’m not buying it.

January 9, 2015 episode of trunews, a man claims that God told him Los Angeles was going to be hit by a nuclear weapon on December 3, 2015. I put the date on my calendar and contacted trunews twice the days prior to the 3rd and once after with no reply. That is only the best reason I stopped allowing the partial truths of trunews to infect my life. Notice tru is 3/4 correctly spelled? How about a refreshing glass of 3/4 fresh water with a mere 1/4 cyanide?
How about all the lives stranded in foreign countries because Wiles suggested an immediate departure from the U.S.?

I am glad I came across your site just now. I came across a video with Rick Wiles and Rebecca Sterling talking about her vision and the fema camps etc. At first I found the conversation intriguing. But around 3/4 of the way into it. I felt inside to shut it down. Seriously. I wasn’t able to place my finger on it. But I just felt the whole thing ..even though I agree, war is coming, famine is coming. But then, its in the bible. Jesus told us these things will come. Even His apostles, Peter, John, Paul. Its all in scriptures. I know we are not to despise prophecyings. But I know we are to learn to listen and hear the Good Shepherd when He calls. Not to listen to a hireling, or false worker. I am not saying too, that Rick is a false prophet or such. But even the very best of us are susceptible to being deceived. Anyone of us if we are not vigilant and keeping a close tab on everything we hear, look for confirmation from His Spirit and in His Word. They both confirm and do not conflict against each other.
But something was extremely OFF about the who topic. To this day, I still cant completely put my finger on it. But those statements about Reagan and Jonathan Cahn. I agree. I knew instantly when they were praising Cahn ..I knew there was a warning there. Cahn was deceitful. There are videos of him out there on the net of him using various masonic hand signals …and much more.
As for Sterling’s story. Of what I did hear till I was prompted to switch off 3/4 of the way into the conversation. She spoke of like you said the ”mind meld”, before the visions came..she had an accident..where she said she was ‘pushed’ invisibly and had a fall..that left her terribly injured etc. Then the visions were more strong ..etc.
That part, was where I had my biggest concern. I have heard from a few deliverance sources in the past..and I don’t know what your take on deliverance in the Christian world is. Back to my point. I don’t ever recall when God has called people to deliver prophecies or messages to the world…that they experience this kind of ”breaking in” through a traumatic physical event..then the supernatural is released. Bear with me..sometimes my english is not at its best to make very clear my thoughts.
But, in reading and listening to the many victims of satanic spiritual abuse…they have experienced trauma whether it is physical or mental ..as a breaking in of their spirit for the ”messages” to be released.
I would urge many to exercise caution in my opinion in pursuing accepting Sterling’s message as really being from the Most High. And really take the matter to the Lord in prayer and even fast about it until they know they have heard.
Its sad that too many of those who are supposed to be spiritual leaders among the brethren just readily accept any one that comes along and say they have had a vision or dream from the Lord and not put it through the litmus test. According to scripture.

David, you are correct in that Wiles and Sterling should not commend people that are disreputable, in fact, it might lead one to question their character. I have come to realize that people who praise Ronald Reagan are questionable as true followers of LORD JESUS. Jonathan Cahn and Mark Blitz should not be trusted because they are masonic affiliated. It is not only important for a Christian to have repented of his/her sins and accept LORD JESUS as his/her SAVIOR, but in addition to that one must get baptized in the HOLY SPIRIT, and walk in the SPIRIT. When I say “walk in the SPIRIT”, I mean you play by LORD JESUS’S rules, for example, HE might tell you to cut your hair, and not dye it, if HE feels that your look pertains to vanity or worldliness. If CHRIST is not instructing you or any Christians in that manner, then your level of intimacy with HIM is low or non-existent. “Is it a concern?”, you might ask. The answer is, yes, and especially when it comes to the topic of deception. It is because a Christian can be easily misled in the time that we are living in, where deception is pervasive. I do not know if you have any sin in your life, David, that has not been dealt with. If one who is suppose to be a Christian and is still working at a particular sin, then that person is not saved…bottom line. LORD JESUS is the ONE who baptizes a Christian with the HOLY SPIRIT. A Christian will have to ask LORD JESUS for the HOLY SPIRIT. A Christian is powerless without GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT. On the topic of deception, I was in my hotel room one day, and not knowing anything about Victoria Osteen, and that she and her husband are false teachers, I watched a streamed program of the Osteens on stage, giving a sermon, and all of a sudden when Victoria started talking, I began laughing. Even though the laughter came from me, it was not because of my knowledge of her being a false teacher, in fact, as I stated, I did not know that she was, but it was because the HOLY SPIRIT made me laugh at her comments. That was almost a year and a half after being baptized in the HOLY SPIRIT, and LORD JESUS was starting to give me a lesson on false teachers, and HE still is, and it probably will be on-going because there are times when CHRIST JESUS would allow me to fall for a person’s false teachings for learning purposes, and as stated, deception is pervasive. Believe me, there are times when I would say to LORD JESUS, “why didn’t you tell me that in the beginning”, but the situation was supposed to have been a learning lesson. The HOLY SPIRIT or LORD JESUS warned me about Jonathan Cahn, as I was watching Cahn recite the Aaronic Blessing on a Christian program. I did not pay much attention to the warning, but I made a mental note of it and asked MY JESUS about it, later to find out that Cahn is a false teacher…and it’s sad that he is. David, where am I going with this? I’ll tell you. One cannot be an “everyday” Christian and have the mentality that because he/she is a Christian then, “I have the spirit of discernment”. An everyday Christian, would more than likely be lukewarm, and definitely not walking in the power of the HOLY SPIRIT; and when I say “walking in the power”, I mean a complete 100% control given to LORD JESUS of one’s life, where HE would take one’s life and get rid of all of the garbage that’s in it…and believe me, David, that’s an awesome thing!!! As far as Wiles is concerned, I do not trust him, and I am not going to get into that, but as for Sterling, I have asked LORD JESUS about her several times, and I have not gotten a response yet. She is right about America being the Mystery Babylon and Obama not being the Antichrist; but I have already heard those comments before, from other people, and they are from reliable sources. Why would Obama be the Antichrist, the Antichrist is going to have to be worst than Obama, and he will be? Did not LORD JESUS have a forerunner, John the Baptist? GOD works in repetitiveness; therefore, Obama is the forerunner for the true Antichrist, and Pope Francis is the forerunner for the true false prophet. It is a well planned deception by the elite or satan, for Christians to think that Obama and Francis are the Antichrist and False Prophet, respectively. One should be aware that the mastermind behind the elite or illuminati is satan. It is one thing for a non-believer to not read the Word of GOD, but it is another thing when Christians do not. Christians do not read the Word of GOD. GOD’S Word says that the Antichrist is a homosexual. Obama is not a homosexual, nor whomever any Christians are trying to assign as the Antichrist. It is written in Daniel 11:37 (KJV), “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.” It is repulsive that Christians are trying to twist things around to make Obama appear to be the true Antichrist, e.g., comments are being made that his wife was not born a woman, or that they are both “in the closet”. When most Christians do not understand scriptures, they do not seek the LORD for understanding. GOD does not give revelations or information on a silver platter, and that is one thing that I have come to learn about MY JESUS. David, a person who is deceived never believes that he/she is being deceived. If one is not going to believe the truth, then one will ultimately believe a lie. Where am I going with this? David, one way to avoid being deceived is to accept the fact than one can be deceived; but most importantly though, whatever you hold as being the truth cannot be held up as being truthful unless the MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE, JESUS CHRIST, has confirmed it as being the TRUTH.
It is a very very dangerous thing to do if you are not 100% sure that God anointed you to judge his servants. Attacking and ultimately dividing the Body of Christ is doing the devil’s work for him. Can’t you find something useful to do instead of trying to do God’s judging for him?
Do you honestly think Rick Wiles who has been serving God for 17 years, will be deliberately trying to deceive God’s people?

You are actually incorrect about the Anti-Christ. The bible makes it clear that there HAVE been MANY “little” Anti-Christs and Anti-Christs in the modern days, but there will be THE GREAT Anti-Christ figure before the end.

Luther said “We are not the first who interpret the Papacy as the kingdom of Antichrist…He (John Purvey in 1390 AD) rightly and truly pronounces the Pope “Antichrist” as he is…a witness indeed, foreordained by God to confirm our doctrine.” (Martin Luther, Commentarius in Apocalypsin reprint).
Sir John Oldcastle, a follower of Wycliffe, proclaimed the Pope as the great Antichrist, the Son of Perdition, the open Adversary of God, and the Abomination standing in the holy place.
John (died in 1417) was an English Lollard leader, who was also known as Lord Cobham, was knight of Herefordshire, and a prominent follower of Wycliffe. He unequivocally stated:
“But as touching the Pope and his Spirituality, I owe them neither suit nor service, for so much as I know him by the Scriptures to be the great Antichrist, the Son of Perdition, the open Adversary of God, and the Abomination standing in the holy place.” (Froom, PFF, volume 2, p. 88.)
William White said that the pope… is nothing else but a devilish estate and heavy yoke of antichrist, and therefore he is an enemy unto Christ’s truth.
William was a follower of John Wycliffe, and he was well learned, upright, and a well-spoken priest.
“That the wicked living of the pope, and his holiness, is nothing else but a devilish estate and heavy yoke of antichrist, and therefore he is an enemy unto Christ’s truth.”
John Huss proclaimed the Antichrist has been revealed in the Pope for which he was burned to death.
John Huss (a.k.a. Jan Huss, 1372-1415) was a well-educated man from Bohemia, who came under the influence of Wycliffe’s writings, which caused him to break with the church of Rome.

William Tyndale said the Pope is the antichrist and his doctrine sprung of the devil.
William Tyndale (1493-1536) was an English scholar who became a leading figure in Protestant Reformation in the years leading up to his execution.
‘The Jews look for Christ, and he is come fifteen hundred years ago, and they not aware: we also have looked for antichrist, and he has reigned as long, and we not aware: and that because either of us looked carnally for him, and not in the place where we ought to have sought. The Jews had found Christ verily, if they had sought him in the law and the prophets, whither Christ sendeth them to seek. John v. We also had spied out antichrist long ago, if we had looked into the doctrine of Christ and his apostles, where, because the beast sees himself now to be sought for, he roars.’ (Ibid, p. 46)
Huldreich Zwingli proclaimed the might and power of the Devil, that is, of the Antichrist… the Papacy has to be abolished.
Zwingli (1484-1531) was a great Swiss Reformer who remarked about the Papacy:
“I know that in it works the might and power of the Devil, that is, of the Antichrist… the Papacy has to be abolished… But by no other means can it be more thoroughly routed than by the word of God (2 Thessalonians 2), because as soon as the world receives this in the right way, it will turn away from the Pope without compulsion.” Principle Works of Zwingli, Vol. 7, p. 135.
John Calvin said we call the Roman pontiff Antichrist.
John (1509-1564) was an influential French theologian and pastor during the Protestant Reformation. Trained at the University of Paris for the priesthood, he later he studied at Bourges where he became converted, and joined the reformation cause against the Roman Catholic heresy.
John Calvin declared,“I deny him to be the vicar of Christ, who, in furiously persecuting the gospel, demonstrates by his conduct that he is Antichrist–I deny him to be the successor of Peter..I deny him to be the head of the church.” “Some persons think us too severe and censorious when we call the Roman pontiff Antichrist. But those who are of this opinion do not consider that they bring the same charge of presumption against Paul himself, after whom we speak and whose language we adopt…I shall briefly show that (Pauls words in 2 Thessalonians 2) are not capable of any other interpretation than that which applies them to the Papacy” John Calvin, Tracts, Vol. 1, pp. 219,220. Martin Luther declared “We here are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real Antichrist.”
“The papacy is none other than the kingdom of Babylon, and the violence of Nimrod the mighty hunter… The papacy is a general chase led by the Roman bishop to catch and destroy souls.” The Babylonian Captivity Of The Church

Nicolaus von Amsdorf said that the pope is the real, true Antichrist.
Nicolaus (1483-1565) was a friend and ardent colleague of Martin Luther. Notice his words on the identity of Antichrist:
“He will be revealed and come to naught before the last day, so that every man shall comprehend and recognize that the pope is the real, true Antichrist and not the vicar of Christ. . . .Therefore those who consider the pope and his bishops as Christian shepherds and bishops are deeply in error, but even more are those who believe the Turk is the Antichrist. Because the Turk rules outside of the church and does not sit in the holy place, nor does he seek to bear the name of Christ but is an open antagonist of Christ and His church. Master John Bradford, who was martyred in 1555, said “the usurped authority of the supremacy of the bishop of Rome is undoubtedly that great Antichrist.”
Master John, a faithful Minister and pillar of Christ’s Church, valiantly and cheerfully gave his blood in the name of Christ. In a letter to Lady Vane, he wrote,
‘ The usurped authority of the supremacy of the bishop of Rome is undoubtedly that great Antichrist, of whom the apostles do so much admonish us.’
Nicholas Ridley said before being burned to death that the See of Rome is the seat of Satan.
He was the English Bishop of London, he received his Master’s degree in 1525 from Pembroke College, Cambridge. He played a major part in many intellectual discussions on religion, primarily Anglican doctrine. He also ordered the removal of images from churches under his jurisdiction.
Latimer was quoted as having said to Ridley:” Be of good comfort, Master Ridley, and play the man; we shall this day light such a candle, by God’s grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out.“
Ridley, in his farewell letter, before he suffered, he said;
“The see of Rome is the seat of Satan, and the bishop of the same, that maintaineth the abominations thereof, is Antichrist himself indeed. And for the same causes, this see at this day is the same which St. John calls, in his Revelation, Babylon, or the whore of Babylon, and spiritually, Sodom and Egypt, the mother of fornications and abominations upon earth.” (Ibid, p. 45)
The Church of Scotland Confession of Faith declared the Pope as the Antichrist, the man of sin and son of perdition.

The Lutheran confession of faith 1603 testified that “the Pope is the very Antichrist, who exalteth himself above, and opposeth himself against Christ.”

They have exactly the same meaning.

The Popes of Rome rose to power after the last Roman Emperor was removed in 476 A.D., fulfilling 2 Thessalonians 2:7
St Gelasius I, who was the Pope from 492 – 496, was the first Pope to be called the “Vicar of Christ“.
And since then each Pope has been declared the Vicar of Christ, as they have proclaimed to be Christ in the flesh.
Pope Boniface VIII said “We declare, assert, define and pronounce to be subject to the Roman Pontiff is to every creature altogether necessary for salvation… I have the authority of the King of Kings. I am all in all, and above all, so that God Himself and I, the Vicar of Christ, have but one consistory, and I am able to do almost all that God can do. The position of Antichrist is not just one man, it is a position, like the President of the United States or the King of England.
The Vicar of Christ, the Vice-Christ, the Antichrist, the Popes of Rome, presents himself in the stead of the true Christ and must therefore be characterized by deception, dissimulation and counterfeit.
First John 2:18 speaks of the Antichrist: “Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.” The specific term antichrist is used seven times in Scripture, twice here in 1 John 2:18 and also in 1 John 2:22; 4:3; and twice 2 John 7. So, what is this Antichrist that the apostle John refers to?
The meaning of the term antichrist is simply “against Christ.” As the apostle John records in First and Second John, an antichrist denies the Father and the Son (1 John 2:22), does not acknowledge Jesus (1 John 4:3), and denies that Jesus came in the flesh (2 John 1:7). There have been many “antichrists,” as 1 John 2:18 states. But there is also coming THE Antichrist.
THE Antichrist is the end-times false messiah who is given world domination so that he can destroy Israel and all followers of Jesus Christ.
Second Thessalonians 2:3-4tells us how we will recognize the Antichrist: “Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.”
Everytime THE Antichrist is mentioned, it is always emphasized on a single one man who gains power and exalts himself as an individual of lawlessness.
A common tactic of Satan is to imitate or counterfeit the things of God in order to make himself appear to be like God. What is commonly referred to as the “unholy trinity,” described vividly in Revelation 12 and 13, is no exception. The Holy Trinity consists of God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Their counterparts in the unholy trinity are Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet. While the Holy Trinity is characterized by infinite truth, love, and goodness, the unholy trinity portrays the diametrically opposite traits of deception, hatred, and unadulterated evil.Satan is the anti-God, the Beast is the anti-Christ, and the False Prophet is the anti-Spirit.
2 Thessalonians 2 describes the transition of power from Roman Emperors to Roman Popes.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 “for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first“
When Emperor Constantine joined the idol worship of pagan Roman with Christianity, it created the beginnings of the Roman Catholic Church. Many Christians compromised their beliefs to be exalted in Rome, after several centuries of severe persecution.
Pure Christianity apostatized into a religion with pagan holidays, idols and theology.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 “and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition“
Both of the times that the phrase “son of perdition” is used in the Bible, it refers to someone who claimed to follow Christ, but was really antichrist in their beliefs and actions. Both Judas and the office of the Papacy have fulfilled this role. So the “son of perdition” is someone who would deceive within the church.

The temple of God is not a physical Temple, it is the body of Christ. In the name of Christ, the Pope is seated in the midst of the Christian Church, which is the temple of God.
Pope Innocent III said “We may according to the fullness of our power, dispose of the law and dispense above the law. Those whom the Pope of Rome doth separate, it is not a man that separates them but God. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.”
Up to the beginning of the 4th century, Rome was a pagan city, and the Emperor was the high priest, called the Pontifex Maximus, of its religion.
As long as the Roman Emperor was in power, the Papal Pontifex Maximus could not take power. The last Roman Emperor was removed in 476 A.D. Shortly thereafter, in 538 A.D., the Roman Catholic Church gained religious and civil power when Eastern Emperor Justinian issued a decree making the Pope head of all churches.
Keep in mind that when the Apostle Paul wrote 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, the Jewish temple was still standing, as it wasn’t destroyed by the Romans until 70 A.D., so any reference to a physical temple would have been to that temple, not an end times temple.

So what does Paul mean?
To understand that, let’s look at how Jesus defined the word “temple.”
In John 2:14, Jesus spoke of the physical temple. The Greek word for the physical temple is hieron.
“And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business.”
Then just five verses later in John 2:19-20, Jesus spoke of the spiritual temple. The Greek word for the spiritual temple is naos.
“Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” But He was speaking of the temple of His body.”
Whenever Paul used the word naos, he applied it to followers of Jesus, the Christian Church, which is a literal temple, but not a physical building.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.”
1 Corinthians 6:19 “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”
2 Corinthians 6:16 “And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
Ephesians 2:19-22 “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”
The spiritual temple is made up of followers of Jesus, Christians.
In 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4, where Paul is telling us about the Son of Perdition, he again uses the Greek word naos.
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple (naos) of God, showing himself that he is God.”
Paul is saying that the Son of Perdition would sit in the temple of God, that is, in the Christian church.
Paul is telling us that he would pretend to be Christian in order to deceive the world, which lines up directly with the Roman Catholic Church and the Pope who pretend to be Christian.
Instead of being an infidel who doesn’t believe in God, like so many pastors teach, the Antichrist does not reign outside of the Church, but in the very bosom of the Church.

Paul places the Son of Perdition nowhere else than in the very sanctuary of God.
The Pope sits (assumes a position of authority) as God in the temple of God.
The Pope is called the ‘Vicar of Christ’ which means ‘substitute for Christ.’
He proclaims to forgive sins.
He proclaims that salvation is only available through the Roman Catholic Church.
He preaches a message of ‘salvation by works’, instead of through the blood of Jesus.
The Pope of the Antichrist Roman Catholic Church misleads 1.2 Billion Catholics into believing that salvation is through them, not Jesus Christ.
And the Jesuits of the Roman Catholic Church are pushing the world into a New World Order, where they will cause everyone in the world to worship them or die.
The Beast is not a Man, it is a nation or a people. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666” (Revelation 13:16-18). The answer is given right here “for it is man’s number”. Man was created on the 6th day. Mans number is 6, and 666 is man multiplied to the nth degree.
Read Revelation 13 and tell me how many times is says ‘he’ and then tell me that it’s not pointing to a man.
David, in some respect I agree with you. It is the case that the Jesuits and all their cronies are orchestrating things to take over the whole world as they had been doing way back at the beginning.
But it does not mean that God is not going to use all this to judge nations and rulers, and the little people of the earth who do not repent. The Bible shows us from times past that God uses all things even the Devil plus to fulfill His holy plans. This does not make God guilty or compliant in wickedness, He cannot be tempted. It simply means that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are the called according to His purpose. It means that our God is in control and is actively particpating in the affairs of me.
God used an occultic nation not once, to bring correction on His people Israel, and He will do it again in these days – He is no respector of person.
America officially has killed tens of millions of babies in womb. God will not let that go unpunished. And sin has increased in America as we know. Her cup is almost full.
God has blessed America in a unique way perhaps (?) more than any other country, and they have had the ‘gospel’ available to them for a long time. Those who have been given greater light have more accountability…which is rather sobering don’t you think?
Time is running out for that nation if not already. But other nations are just as guilty, like Australia – my temporal country.
The point I get from the writings and messages of Johnathan Cahn if nothing else is TIME TO REPENT!!! From top – down; and from the lowest – up. The Church of Jesus Christ has to repent. You blame him for not speaking out against the Jesuits etc. God may not have required that of him…seeing you and others are doing a good job of it. Not everyone has to cover all the same details David. The prohets of old did not cover every single detail just what God gave them to speak. If God has required it from you…do it. But don’t judge another man by your own calling; don’t impose yours on somebody else.
We must all daily examine our hearts and be open before the one who walks in the midst of the cadlesticks with eyes of love but blazing with fire.
We could all pull holes in anyone. And some could do so with you. Is all of your doctrine 100% correct? Do you understand all things, and get it right all the time? Do you pray for these men whom you ‘expose’? Do you weep for them before the face of God? You probabaly do. Keep it up.
Let us continue to speak the truth in love. But remember…as we have judged others, so we will be judged on that day.

It would seem that your mission in life is to prove me wrong in some way, saying “No one man has all the pieces“. You’re saying that the Spirit is incapable of showing one man all of the pieces. That’s ridiculous!
And I’m not saying that I am right about everything, but I have been shown much. The reason that America is in the state it’s in, is because our ‘christian’ leaders did not shout from their pulpits who is the antichrist Roman Catholic Church, and the Jesuits of Rome who have subverted the morals of America, and removed God from our society.
Instead Pastors teach futurism and deflect blame away from Rome, so that christians don’t understand who is the enemy of Messiah and His Church. Saying that all Pastors are not called to identify the enemy of Messiah and His Church, is ridiculous! We are at war! Everyone in the army of God needs to know who the enemy is.
Enough of the judging charge! I have judged no one! I am called to discern truth and expose deceptions. I am called to hold teachers accountable, and if what they teach is false, then to expose that. We are all called to be Bereans and compared what they teach to the Scriptures. That is not judging! There is a huge difference!
