  1. Dear David, My wife and I are devout believers in the Word. Recently we have been drawn to fellowship with a Messianic/hebrew Roots rabbi(?) named Michael Rood…I read your commentary and now I have concerns..Are ALL messianic/hebrew roots theologies false? I am a new believer and your insights would be appreciated

    • Thank you for your comment Gary ๐Ÿ™‚ Michael Rood teaches some truths, as mainstream Christianity is far removed from what the Bible declares for the followers of Messiah. We should observe the Sabbath, not the SUNday Lord’s day; we should observe the seven Holy Feast Days which Messiah is fulfilling to redeem His bride, instead of the pagan-based Easter and Christmas; we should call the Father and Messiah by their personal, covenant names, not by God, Lord or Jesus.

All of those concepts were created in the 4th century when the Roman Bishops and Emperor Constantine created the cult of Roman Christianity. You can read about the Falling Away of 2 Thessalonians 2 @ http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/the-falling-away/

That said, Michael Rood also teaches some false doctrine about Messiah’s ministry only lasting one year, about the 70th week of Daniel, about the Biblical calendar, etc.

Messianic and Hebrew Roots teachings typically support the Zionist state of Israel, but there are many reasons to not support them, that are listed on this study. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/christians-should-not-support-israel/

And many of them take things too far and make following the Torah legalistic. But Messiah wrote the Torah on the hearts of His people, so that they follow them out of love.

I hope that helps. Blessings to you!
      David

  2. https://potatohead2600.wordpress.com/2015/04/14/yeshua-the-heavenly-yosef-and-his-exact-years-on-earth-2/ hello please read this article of mine about how the exact years of CHRIST on earth is foreshadowed by the years of the union of Jacob and Joseph in the book of Genesis. Jacob and Joseph were together for 17 years in Canaan and 17 years in Egypt. The union of Jacob and Joseph represents CHRIST JESUS and their 34 years on earth is the foreshadowing of the exact years of CHRIST on earth.

    • Thank you for your comment David ๐Ÿ™‚ I found your timeline very interesting and filled in some blanks for me. That said, I would offer the following feedback, as you seem to subscribe to the Futuristic mindset of prophecy fulfillment, which is a deception from Rome, to deflect blame away from the Antichrist Pope and the False Prophet Jesuit General.

The Catholic Church wrote the Qur’an, propped up Mohammed as their prophet. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/islam-in-bible-prophecy/

The seals, trumpets and 5 bowls have been fulfilled during the history of the Church. We are in the 6th bowl. The drying up of the Ottoman Empire, symbolized by the Euphrates River, is complete. We are waiting on WW III and the One World Government to be completed.

The 5th Trumpet represents the Lord using the Arabian (Mohammedan) army against the Western Roman Empire from 612-762 A.D., which is 150 years (5 months = 150 days). They wore turbans (crowns of gold); they had beards (faces of men); they had long hair like women; they wore chain-mail (breast-plates of iron); and they were fierce (teeth of lions). The falling star was Mohammed, the smoke out of Satanโ€™s bottomless pit of lies is the Koran.

The 6th Trumpet represents the Lord releasing the Turks to cross over the Euphrates River to conquer 1/3rd of the Roman Empire for 391 years (prepared for the hour and day and month and year, 1 + 30 + 360 = 391) from 1062-1453 A.D., which ended when they used large cannons (out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone) to knock down the thick protective walls of Constantinople.
Here is a summary of the fulfillment of the seals, trumpets and bowls http://christianitybeliefs.org/revelation-timeline/

In 1560, the Jesuits were empowered by the Pope at the Council of Trent, to counter the Reformation. They did this through the Inquisition, and also by writing prophecy commentaries which pointed to a future, 7-year tribulation period, a future 70th week of Daniel, which would feature a one-man antichrist. They did this to deflect blame away from the Popes of Rome, whom all the Protestant Reformers had properly identified as the Little Horn of Daniel 7, the Son of Perdition of 2 Thessalonians 2, the antichrist sea beast of Revelation 13, and the Harlot of Revelation 17. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions

The Roman Catholic Church had Jesuit Priest Francisco Ribera, a brilliant man with a doctorate in theology, write a 500 page commentary with an opposing view, where he manipulated prophecies in the books of Daniel and Revelation, to create an end-time 7-year tribulation antichrist.

In 1812 a Roman Jesuit priest named Manuel (sometimes Emmanuel) de Lacunza published the work โ€˜The Coming of Messiah in Glory and Majestyโ€™ under the pen name of โ€˜Ben Ezraโ€™. From there it spread to people like Darby and Scofield.

In 1924 Dr. Lewis Sperry Chafer, a protegee of Cyrus Scofield, founded Dallas Theological Seminary, from which the leaven of the deceptions of the Jesuits have spread around the world. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/jesuit-end-times-antichrist-deception/

9/11 was not a Jihad, it was the Jesuits using the CIA to cause it, to justify wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

ISIS rebels are controlled/trained/armed/funded by the CIA, it is not a rise of the Islamic Caliphate. They are using ISIS to help overthrow leaders like President Assad, who has not bowed down to the authority of the Jesuits. In order for the Jesuits to control the world, and dictate who buys and sells, they have to control the money supply of every country, like they do in American with the Federal Reserve Bank.

The Falling Away occurred when the Roman Emperors and Constantine created the Roman Christianity, removed the lunisolar calendar and Sabbath, removing the Holy Feast Days and replacing them with Christmas and Easter, creating the Roman Jesus. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/the-falling-away/

The Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition, appeared in the 6th century, after the ‘restrainer’ the Roman Emperor was removed from power. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/antichrist-in-the-temple-deception/

Your timeline says “2016 – the First Half???” of what? a future 70th week of Daniel? It was fulfilled on time, after the 69th week, from 27-34 A.D., when Messiah and His disciples confirmed that it was He who was the promised Messiah, whose sacrifice atoned for their sins.
      http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/70-weeks-of-daniel-covenant-deception/

The 1,260 days of Great Tribulation, were 1,260 years, from 538-1798 A.D. when the Popes of Rome reigned in power. The Two Witnesses were the Word of Elohim and the Church of Messiah, both of which witnessed about salvation by faith, not by the seven sacraments; and they testified that the Popes of Rome are the antichrist. http://christianitybeliefs.org/revelation-timeline-decoded/the-1260-year-reign-of-the-popes-of-the-roman-catholic-church/

Daniel 12 was already fulfilled, from 66-70 A.D., when 1.1 million Jews died from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, crucifixion and the Roman sword. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/daniel-12-prophecy-deception/

All of the great theologians through the history of the Church, up until around 1900 A.D., all believed in the historical fulfillment of prophecy. It’s only during the last 100 years that the concept of Futurism has taken root, to deceive the Church.

I hope that these studies help you see a bigger picture of the fulfillment of prophecy. Contact me anytime with questions or insight.

      Shalom,
      David

  4. Also, I believe we are saved through faith and there are many verses in the bible as evidence but James 2:24 supports the Catholic doctrine on merit. Is this a contradiction in the bible?
Does the catholic church support the doctrine of purgatory because of 2 Maccabees 12:43-46? Or am I not understanding these verses properly?

    Many Thanks.

    Reply
    • Thank you for your comment Alex ๐Ÿ™‚ James 2:17 makes the point that faith without works is dead. It’s not real faith. People can say that they have faith, but if their actions don’t back it up, if they are not obedient to the commandments, then it is not a real faith.

Verse 23 spoke of Abraham, who was saved by faith. His obedience to God’s commands didn’t earn him salvation, but they did affirm his faith.

There are many people who claim to be ‘christians’ but they disobey the commandments and their faith is revealed. Messiah said “If you love me, obey my commandments.”

As for where the Catholic Church justifies their concept of purgatory, I do not know. But there is no justification, because even if there was a place called purgatory, it would be for God alone to determine who goes there, not a sinful man.

      • I understand that we don’t have the answer to everything and maybe we won’t fully understand the exact meaning of some scriptures. This shows from there being so many different churches because they can’t agree with eachother.

The more i read the more confused iI get. For example, the catholic church banned people from reading the bible, but isn’t this just as bad as Martin Luther trying to remove books?

Also, there are references in the bible were it could be referring to a ‘third place’. There is evidence of praying for the dead too which makes me think there could be a possibility of a place between heaven and hell?

  5. David, The ancient mystery religions had the same concept of a Father God with a Virgin Mother conceiving a son. This is the same concept as Christianity. If Christianity came after this, doesn’t this mean the story of Jesus has just been copied from ancient pagan religions?

    Reply
    • Thank you for your comment Alex ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, it is interesting that the pagan religions since Babylon have had a trinity. In Babylon it was Nimrod the Sun god, Semiramus the Moon goddess, and Tammuz, the son. Keep in mind that Satan was once a great angel in heaven, who may have know the redemption plan of the Father, so he mimicked those things with false gods. But in The Way, the Father, Joseph, is not esteemed at all, and Mary is only revered. Catholics wrongly esteem her as their Intercessor and Co-redeemer, and in doing that, they are treating her like a pagan god, an idol.

  7. Hi, I have posted this http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/christians-should-not-support-israel/ in the past and today. Today I noticed the video link with David Duke (didn’t know it was him though) and am sure it was not included in the link when I posted it maybe a month ago. I’m wondering why that link is there? I try to not post anything without watching it first because I don’t want to post anything with nudity and foul language. If the nudity is blurred and the language is covered up I will though. The David Duke video contains a lady practically falling out of her top (can cause a brother to lust) and though the language is supposed to be bleeped out it is not. These two things are not a good witness. Also, it’s David Duke. He is known for being a racist, right? That’s what I know of him. One last thing, the pyramid, dollar bill pictures were not there about a month ago either, right? The pyramid coming out of the building looks fake to me. Maybe it’s not, but it looks that way. Not trying to knit pick here, but want to give honest feedback. I appreciate this link, but I think these additions need to be fixed and/or removed.

    • Thank you for your comment Tricia ๐Ÿ™‚ That page has been updated as I run across more information. David Duke used to be a leader of the KKK, but he has repented and changed his ways.

I understand what you’re saying about the woman in the video, but the information he covers is very important. The woman is an Israeli who mocks Messiah. If seeing a woman in a bikini top causes men to stumble, then they have bigger issues. They should be appalled by her.

As for the pyramid on the Israeli Supreme Court building, the close up image that was taken from within the building shows that it is real. You can google images of it to confirm it.

I appreciate your perspective. Keep learning and growing in the faith.

      • Thank you for replying David. People will not know that about David Duke and our past sins have consequences. A recent example is Kim Davis (the marriage license clerk in Kentucky) who is being a spokesperson for the Church and who was married four times, divorced three. That was before she was saved, but many people are calling her a hypocrite and I agree. No matter what important information is being shared we should be most concerned about marring the name of Christ and possibly causing a brother to stumble. You had good content without the David Duke video.

  8. I forsook the pre-tribulation rapture theory many years ago and I have read much of the information that you have posted by the various authors. Maybe I am just dense but it still seems to me that Matthew 24 could not have been completed in 70 AD? If we reject the gap between the 69th and 70th week, we now have a gap of 2000 years that Christ has not come back to gather His saints etc. I came to the conclusion that there were double fulfillments of these passages. Please tell me what you think. Tom

    Reply
    • Thank you for your comment Tom ๐Ÿ™‚ Let me try to give you a different perspective. The verses we are familiar with about Messiah’s return say that the dead will rise first, then those who are alive with meet Messiah. But Matthew 24:30-31 does not mention the dead rising first.

I’m going to suggest that Messiah coming in great power and glory was not His second coming, but it was Him coming to cause the Roman army to desolate the city, the temple and the Jews.

Daniel 9:26-27 spoke about this desolation of the city and temple.
Messiah in Matthew 23 condemned the Jewish leaders and told them that all of the righteous blood they had shed would come upon them.
Messiah in Matthew 24 foretold the destruction of the temple.
Daniel 12 tells about the 1,290 and 1,335 days, between 66-70 A.D., when 1.1 Million Jews died from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, crucifixion and by the Roman sword. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/daniel-12-prophecy-deception/

This fulfills Jesus parable of the Wedding Feast, that when the Jews rejected Jesus as their Messiah and they persecuted and killed His servants, He responded with, โ€œBut when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.โ€

Now look in Matthew 26:63-64, when Messiah told the High Priest that he would see Jesus come in the clouds of heaven. “And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Should we not believe that Messiah fulfilled that promise that the High Priest would see Him come on the clouds in power?

That promise matches the description in Matthew 24.

Let’s back up a bit to Daniel 7:13-14, which foretold that Messiah would establish His kingdom in the days of the four beasts, which was done during the reign of the Roman beast. “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Daniel told us that Messiah would come with the clouds of heaven, not to return at the end of time, but to setup His kingdom. Messiah didn’t setup His kingdom during His ministry, as He had not died and rose again yet. Jesus fulfilled all that was demanded of the Israelites and Jews.

But in order for His kingdom to be setup, He had to desolate the temple system of sacrifices, and the position of Jewish High Priest and the Jewish leadership system.

Matthew 24:29 says “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

It is not referring to the literal sun, moon and stars. The Bible defines that those symbols represent organizational leadership, based on the story of Joseph who had a dream that the Sun, Moon and 11 stars would bow down to him. He was referring to the organizational leadership of his family, his father the Sun, his mother the Moon, and his 11 brothers the stars.

When the Roman army desolated the temple and city and Jews in 70 A.D., the temple sacrifices were ended, and the Jewish leadership system was ended. The Sun, the High Priest, was killed. The moon and stars, the other Jewish leaders, were also killed.

Daniel 9:26 says that “the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.” The Prince in Daniel 9:25 is Jesus the Messiah. The Greek word for Messiah in both verses is the same word. I am going to suggest that it was speaking about Jesus commanding the Roman army to desolate the city and the temple.

The irony of course is that the Jewish leaders wanted their Messiah to remove the Romans from power over the Jews. But instead Messiah caused the mighty Roman army to desolate the Jewish leadership.

Add to this that Jewish historian Josephus who documented the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, witnessed the following:
Besides these [signs], a few days after that feast, on the one- and-twentieth day of the month Artemisius, [Jyar,] a certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared; I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so considerable a nature as to deserve such signals; for, before sun-setting, chariots and troops of soldiers in their armour were seen running about among the clouds, and surrounding of cities. Moreover, at that feast which we call Pentecost, as the priests were going by night into the inner [court of the] temple, as their custom was, to perform their sacred ministrations, they said that, in the first place, they felt a quaking, and heard a great noise, and after that they heard a sound as of a great multitude, saying, “Let us remove hence” (Jewish Wars, VI-V-3).

As for the elect being gathered, the word angel can represent Messengers or Pastors. When the elect saw the Roman army surround Jerusalem, which is the sign of the Abomination of Desolation as defined in Luke 21:20, the leaders of the Early Church knew they needed to heed Jesus’ warning and flee to the mountains, and they gathered the elect to escape.

And Josephus documents that not one Christian was killed during the siege.

Less that all seem unbelievable, just because we don’t quite understand it all, let me point out that Messiah said just a few verses later in Matthew 24:34 “Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.”

He was saying that all of the things that he just stated in the previous verses would be fulfilled in that generation.

In Matthew 23:35-36, he said “That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.”

He clearly is speaking about that generation.

I hope that helps you see a different perspective.

  9. I started reading some of your articles and thought they sounded a bit familiar. When I read where you got a lot of your endtime beliefs and errors it made perfect sense……you are writing the same skewed Seventh day Adventists errors I grew up with. Praise God I left that cult 12 years ago to the truth of Bible only. The SDA end times teachings have no Bible basis as they are based on their false prophets teachings of Ellen G White and her erroneous teachings on Daniel and Revelation.

I would suggest you stick with the Bible instead of a false prophets teachings……:)

    Reply
    • Thank you for your comment Karen ๐Ÿ™‚ You obviously didn’t read enough of my studies. Yes, they may seem similar in that they provide a historical explanation of prophecy fulfillment. But the SDA Church has gotten many explanations wrong.

Their key prophecy explanation is based on the 2,300 days of Daniel 8, which they say was 2,300 years, ending in 1844 A.D., which they proclaimed was the year Messiah would return. When that didn’t happen, they said that it was the start of the Investigative Judgment. They should have humbled themselves and reevaluated their interpretation. It was 2,300 days; which was six years, and three and a half months: during which Antiochus Epiphanes, the vile person, surrounded Jerusalem with his armies (the abomination of desolation) and killed 10โ€™s of thousands of Jews. They defiled the sanctuary and caused the daily sacrifice to be taken away for 2,300 days (Daniel 8:14). His persecution of the Jews began in 171 B.C. and the temple was cleansed on December 25, 165 B.C., which is 2,300 days. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/daniel-8-2300-days-geneva-study-bible-refutes-sda-2300-years-1844-bible/

Their top prophecy teachers don’t explain the seals, trumpets and bowls of Revelation correctly. http://christianitybeliefs.org/revelation-timeline/

I would say that most of my studies are contrary to what the SDA Pastors teach.

Yes and amen that you were led to leave that cult!

  10. Praise our Lord Jesus Christ! Brother David, I thank God for revealing His truth to simple people like myself while it is hidden from the wise. I have already started sharing with christians around me the truth explained in your blog, a few receive it while the rest write me off as “mad”, but I thank God for the preaching of the cross is the power of God unto salvation for those who believe but foolishness to those that perish 1 Corr 1:18. Something interesting happened last weekend that I thought necessary to ask, the leader of the free world visited my country and one secular local tv station reported that on that day 24th July it had been 6 years, 6 months and 6 days into his presidency. Do you think that there is any significance in this? Also, kindly respond to the questions I asked you on the 23rd July, feel free to email me if you so wish. Again, thank you for your good work and may the Almighty God richly bless you.

  11. the 6 million jews murdered in the holocost was a lot more evil and death than the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. how do you rectify this, seems the hole verses of the tribulation in 66-70 ad , that it will be the worst ever and shall ever be.

    • Thank you for your comment. If you check updated records, they say less than a million Jews were killed in the holocaust. Experts who have visited the supposed gas chambers testify that they could not have been sealed effectively to work properly. If you look at worldwide Jew population statistics, the yearly numbers did not fall.

As for Jerusalem, at the end of the Roman siege in 70 A.D., there would have been 1.1 million dead bodies lying in and around the small city of Jerusalem, as nobody buried anyone due to the danger. Rebels in the city slit people’s throats, including in the temple. Jews snuck outside the city walls at night to try to find food, and were captured by the Romans and crucified, so that all of the trees outside of Jerusalem were full of multiple bodies hanging, as the Romans did not take them down. Josephus records that one man killed his children, his wife, his parents, and then himself, to save themselves from a worse fate. He also records that one wealthy lady killed and roasted her baby to eat, as there was no food. This just what was recorded during this time of famine, pestilence and tribulation. Goodness knows what other savage things happened.

I dare say that the scene of 1.1 million dead bodies in and around Jerusalem is worse than any other time of tribulation, as it occurred in such a small area, in such a short amount of time.
