The Mark Of The Beast And The Mark Of God

This End Times Deception study will help understand the true mark of the beast.

The sea beast of Revelation 13 is the Papacy of the Roman Catholic Church and the earth beast is the Jesuits of Rome, who spread around the world, causing people to revere the Pope and obey his commands.

Satan has empowered the Roman beast to deceive the world, including Christians.  Satan knows the Bible well, and he knows the things that God has sanctified.

This study will look at what God has defined as a covenant between Himself and His followers, which are a sign, a mark, of their relationship.

Then we will see how Satan has subverted those things through the Roman Catholic Church, causing some Christians to have the mark of the Rome beast on them.

If someone says that you’re ‘marked‘ for God, what are they proclaiming?

They’re saying that you obey His commands, which demonstrates your love for Him, which is a sign to others about whom you serve.

The Bible declares that we are to keep the 10 commandments; the enemy causes Christians to believe that Christ ended that requirement.

In Deuteronomy 6:1-2, God commands us to keep His statutes and commandments;

“Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.”

Then in Deuteronomy 6:8 He tells us that His commandments shall be a sign on our hand and our foreheads.

“And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.”

The word ‘sign’ means; a signal (literally or figuratively), as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc.:—mark, miracle, (en-)sign, token.

The hand refers to our actions, and the forehead refers to our beliefs.

If we obey the commandments of God, then we have the mark of God on us.

Is that not what our Messiah taught us?

For Christ said “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21

“By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” 1 John 5:2-3

Christians proclaim that Christ nailed the commandments to the cross, but that’s not true, He came to fulfill the law, because no man ever could.

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-19

What He nailed to the cross is the written record of our sins.

“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.” Colossians 2:13-14

Where a debt is contracted, it is usually testified by some handwriting; and when the debt is forgiven, the handwriting is destroyed, either by blotting it out, by taking it away, or by tearing it.

Christ’s atoning work paid for our sins, thus wiping out the handwriting of the record of our sins, which condemned us.

Paul is not saying that Christ nailed the Torah to the cross and eliminated it.

In Christ’s New Covenant, He put His law in our heart and our mind.

“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.” Hebrews 10:16

Jesus obeyed them perfectly and He expects His followers to strive to keep them.

“for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God,
but the doers of the law will be justified.” Romans 2:13

“Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not!
On the contrary, we establish the law.” Romans 3:31

Revelation 22:12-14 tells us that we are blessed by following God’s commandments.

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”

Christ is telling us that those who obey (mark on the right hand) His commandments, will eat of the tree of life, and may enter into the Holy City, New Jerusalem.

In Revelation 12:17, Christ is telling us that Satan makes war with His followers, who keep the commandments of God.

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

Revelation 14:9-11 tells us that if anyone obeys the antichrist Pope’s commands, they have the mark of the beast on them.

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship (revere and obey) the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God.” Revelation 14:9-10

So let’s compare the teachings of Christ with the teachings of the antichrist Pope’s, to see which one most Christians are following.

Yahuah ordained the 7th Day Sabbath as a ‘mark‘ of His people; while Satan caused the Roman Catholic Church to use Sunday as a ‘mark‘ of their authority.

Christians may believe that they are to obey the 10 commandments, but somehow many don’t believe that they need to follow the 4th Commandment.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” Exodus 20:8-11

Most Christians argue that the Sabbath is Sunday, but there is no passage in the Bible which declares this.

God set aside the Sabbath as a sign, a mark, between Him and His people.

“Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.” Exodus 31:13

They are a perpetual sign between the Children of Israel and God.

“You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.  Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.  Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.  It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.” Exodus 31:14-17

God told His children to not walk in the ways of their fathers, but according to His law, which is a sign of their relationship.

“But I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols.  I am the Lord your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them; hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’ Ezekiel 20:18-20

If God changed the perpetual covenant of the Sabbath, which He defined as the seventh day, then He would have clearly told us so.

Satan hates the Sabbath because it is a covenant between Yahuah and His people.

At the Council of Laodicea in 364 A.D., Satan caused the Church of Rome to outlaw the 7th day Sabbath.

“Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord’s Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ.” Canon XXIX.

This tells us that the followers of Christ were still observing the luni-solar based Sabbath.

Since then the Roman Church has been declaring Sunday as the Lord’s Day. Please understand that the Roman Catholic Church is the antichrist beast of Revelation, who has claimed to be Christ on earth, a substitute Christ, a Vicar of Christ.

Worshiping on Sunday honors the Roman Catholic Church Lord, the Pope, the Sun god, which ultimately gives worship to Satan.

It matters not if that is your intent.  What matters is that you are following Rome’s decrees, not Yahuah’s.

Here are statements from the Papal Church declaring as such.

“But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify.” Cardinal James Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers (Ayers Publishing, 1978): 108

“Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change was her act…And the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.” Letter from C.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons on October 28, 1895

They are saying that if you deny the authority of the Catholic Church, which you should, then you have no justification for a Sunday Sabbath, because they are the ones who changed it to Sunday.

“Sunday is a Catholic institution and its claim to observance can be defended only on Catholic principles….. From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first.” Catholic Press, Sydney, Australia, August 1900.

You can clearly see that the antichrist Roman Catholic Church is proclaiming that Sunday is their Holy Day, and that there is no scriptural basis for the Sabbath to be on Sunday, but that it is a mark of their authority.

I don’t believe that worshiping on Sunday is THE mark of the beast, as SDA’s proclaim, but it is ‘A’ mark of the beast, as Christians are following the teachings and commands of Rome, instead of the Word of God.

I observe the Sabbath. I don’t work. I rest in the Lord. I study, I pray, I partake in communion, I spend time with family and friends. It’s a day of rest that blesses me.

I don’t do it for salvation. I don’t do it because I’m part of some denomination. I don’t condemn others for not doing it. I do it out of love for my Messiah, and I am blessed to rest in Him.

The Bible declares that we are to observe Yahuah’s Holy Feast Days; but the enemy causes Christians to observe the pagan days of Easter and Christmas.

Christ followed the Torah commands to observe and celebrate the seven Holy Feast days, which were given to the Israelites for practice, as they pointed to a future fulfillment by the promised Messiah.

Many Christians think that they are just Jewish feast days, but they are Yahuah’s Holy Feast Days, which are for all of His followers.

Christ came to fulfill the Holy Feast Days, not to end them. Each feast day foreshadows a unique part of Christ’s redemption story.

The word “Feast” is translated from the Hebrew word “moed”, which means appointment. The first four spring feasts were fulfilled in exacting detail by Christ.

Passover pointed to the Messiah as our Passover lamb whose blood was shed for our sins. Jesus fulfilled this feast day, which we should still celebrate in honor of His sacrifice for us.

Unleavened Bread pointed to the Messiah’s sinless life (as leaven is a picture of sin in the Bible). Jesus fulfilled this feast day, which we should honor for His sinless life.

First Fruits pointed to the Messiah’s resurrection as the first fruits of the righteous. (1 Cor. 15:20) Jesus fulfilled this feast day when He rose again, which we should celebrate instead of the pagan Easter.

Pentecost represented God pouring out His Holy Spirit on Jesus disciples. Acts 2 describes the fulfillment of this feast day, which we should celebrate as He has given us the Advocate, the Spirit of Truth.

The last three fall feasts point to His return for His bride. Does it not make sense that Christians should know about them, observe them and celebrate them?

Trumpets represents Christ’s return for His bride, where trumpets are blown and the elect are taken up. We should celebrate this as we long for His return. We should look to this Holy Feast Day to be prepared for His return.

Atonement occurs ten days after the Feast of Trumpets, when Christ will judge His Church. We should solemnly observe this feast day to purify ourselves of sins and sinful ways, as we will stand before our righteous Judge some day.

Tabernacles occurs fifteen days after the Feast of Trumpets, when we celebrate the wedding feast. We should celebrate this day as a bride would long for her wedding day.

Many Christians proclaim that the Holy Feast Days of the Torah were nailed to the cross, so we don’t have to observe them.

But that is impossible, because the Feasts of First Fruits and Pentecost were fulfilled after Christ’s death on the cross. And there are still three more Feasts to be fulfilled.

The evil one has caused the Roman Church to put aside God’s Holy Feast Days, and to cause people to celebrate pagan holidays instead.

In 325 A.D. the Roman Church at the Council of Nicea decided to separate the celebration of Easter from the Passover. They stated:

“For it is unbecoming beyond measure that on this holiest of festivals we should follow the customs of the Jews. Henceforth let us have nothing in common with this odious people…We ought not, therefore, to have anything in common with the Jews…our worship follows a…more convenient course…we desire dearest brethren, to separate ourselves from the detestable company of the Jews…How, then, could we follow these Jews, who are almost certainly blinded.”

They made it seem like they were Jewish festivals, instead of God’s Holy Feast Days, which helped them put them aside.

This tells us that the followers of Christ were still observing God’s Holy Feast Days.

In order for the Church of Rome to combine the pagan Roman festivals with Christianity, they had to put aside the Holy Feast Days of Yahyuah.

Bible scholars agree that Christ was born in the Fall; but Satan has caused Christians to celebrate His birth on a pagan holiday.

Of all of the days of the year to select to celebrate Christ’s birth, this is the one day that definitely should not have been chosen.

For 1,000’s of years, pagans have worshiped the rebirth of their sun god on 12/25.

They believe that the sun dies on the winter solstice, which occurs on 12/21, when the Sun is furthest away from the Earth and the days are the shortest.

They believe that the Sun is dead for three days, and then comes back to life on the 24th, and its rebirth is celebrated on the 25th.

The birthday of the Babylonian sun god of Tammuz, the Egyptian sun god Ra, the Greek sun god Helios/Zeus, and the Roman sun god Mithra, are all celebrated on 12/25.

December 25th is a day that is set aside for sun god worship.

In the 4th century Roman Emperor Constantine combined their pagan Roman beliefs with Christianity. By 529 A.D., after Christianity had become the official state religion of the Roman Empire, Emperor Justinian made Christmas a civic holiday.

The “christianity” of the Roman Empire was the foundation of the Roman Catholic Church, which still worships the pagan gods of Rome, including the sun god, as evidenced by the Egyptian Obelisk in the middle of St. Peter’s Square, which represents Ra the sun god.

Do you believe that Christ is honored by Christians celebrating His birth on a pagan holiday?

Christ said, “But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matt. 15:9).

Christ said, “Full well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition.” (Mark 7:9).

Celebrating Christmas is not a command of God—it is a tradition of men. And every year, throughout the world, on December 25th, Christians do just that, they keep a vain tradition of pagan Rome!

The Holy Feast Day of Passover commemorates Christ’s death and First Fruits represents His resurrection; but Satan has caused Christians to celebrate Easter, the holiday of the pagan fertility goddess.

Eggs and rabbits represents the fertility goddess Ishtar (pronounced Easter), and they have nothing to do with Christ’s death and resurrection.

The forty days’ abstinence of Lent was directly borrowed from the worshipers of the Babylonian goddess Semiramus, to commemorate the death of her son Tammuz.

Tammuz, the reincarnation of the sun god – Nimrod, was killed in a hunting accident when he was gored to death by a wild boar in his 40th year.

The 40 days of Lent – or weeping for Tammuz, starts the Easter fertility season.  The festivities culminate on Easter Sunday, when the priests of Easter slaughtered the “wild boar that killed Tammuz” and the entire congregation would eat “ham” on Easter Sunday.

God showed Ezekiel the abominations of the Jews, involving Tammuz;

“And He said to me, Turn again, and you will see greater abominations that they are doing. So He brought me to the door of the north gate of the LORD’s house; and to my dismay, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz.” Ezekiel 8:14

Are you knowing (mind) and obeying (hand) God’s commandments about His Holy Feast Days, which our Messiah is fulfilling?

The Mark of the beast in Revelation 14, 15 and 16 was fulfilled by people in France and Spain who revered the Pope and obeyed his commands to kill the saints.

There are two separate fulfillment’s of the mark of the beast in the Bible, this one in the 17th-18th centuries; and one that occurs in the last days.

France and Spain had many Catholics, including their kings, who worshiped the Pope, they bowed to his authority and they obeyed his commands.

France was called the Eldest Son of the Papal Church, because their leaders diligently followed the Pope’s orders.

France was split between Catholics and Protestants called the Huguenots, so the Pope caused the King of France to have his people make war with the Protestants.

At the St. Batholomew’s Day Massacre, they killed 10’s of thousands of Huguenots.

The persecution in France was so severe, that no Protestants were left, as a million of them had either been killed or they fled. The Spanish Inquisition killed 300,000 victims.

These martyrs are spoken of in Revelation 15:2 “And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.”

Because France, Spain and other countries bowed to the Popes authority and obeyed his commands to kill millions of Protestants, they had the mark of the beast on them, so our Lord poured out His wrath on them with the bowl judgments of Revelation 16.

They had the mark of the beast on them, not physically, but symbolically. Their worship of the Pope is the mark on their forehead. Their obedience of his commands is the mark on their hand. This tells us what the mark really means.

So we know that it is not some computer chip or tattoo, it was about following the commands of the antichrist Roman Pope.

Revelation 13, 19 and 20 refer to the end times Mark of the Beast, which will be enforced by the Jesuits of Rome.

The Jesuits control the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the International Bank of Settlements, the Federal Reserve Bank, and Central Banks in almost every country, and the major banks and financial companies.

In their New World Order, they will control the monetary system, to dictate who buys and sells.

“He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.” Revelation 13:15

For those who refuse to bow to their authority, they will be cut off from the electronic monetary system and be killed.

“He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16-17

If you obey their commands, then you are giving reverence and worship to the antichrist beast.  And you will then be allowed to buy and sell.

Getting a RF-ID chip or tattoo is not going to condemn you.

You will be condemned for obeying the commands of the beast.

The ‘mark‘ of Yahuah is obeying His commandments. The ‘mark‘ of the antichrist beast is to obey their commands.  Who are you marked for?

“Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.“ Revelation 18:4

  4. I love your teaching brother, but do not mistake the mark for Sabbath worship and worship on the Lords Day. As a disciple and bond servant of Christ, I beseech you to look into this doctrine more deeply and with a pure heart towards truth. I do not say this to hurt, but only to bring about better understanding for us all.

    The bible is of course its own authority and interprets itself. If one is confused about what it is saying, then it is best to check with writings outside of the bible, but only from those men of great spiritual wealth. I would not count Luther nor Calvin as men of God based on their teachings and actions which included the persecution of other saints. The best of these men comes from those who learned at the feet of the apostles and the first few generations after during the early church, before the corruption of Romanism.

    The whole narrative of the scripture is about God’s people being separate from the world. It is a story of two kingdoms. One is the kingdom of men whom the evil one is the lord and the other is the kingdom of God.

    Yes, the Roman church is the beast, but it is as you said, the work of men (actions) and their thoughts and allegiance are what truly matters. One can speak a belief, but what is true is only shown by action. The bible references itself when it comes to these things. For instance 666 is the number of talons that Solomon collected in a single year.

    1 Kings 10:14 The weight of gold that came to Solomon yearly was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold.

    This could represent the worship of wealth or even the power of worldly government. Let’s look at what else the scriptures state about the mark.

    Genesis 4:15 And the Lord said to him, “Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him.

    Deuteronomy 11:18 You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.

    Leviticus 19:28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.
    Why, because these things were used to denote yourself as a slave or property. It also denotes that you being God’s creation is not enough.

    Ezekiel 9 Then He called out in my hearing with a loud voice, saying, “Let those who have charge over the city draw near, each with a deadly weapon in his hand.” 2 And suddenly six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his battle-ax in his hand. One man among them was clothed with linen and had a writer’s inkhorn at his side. They went in and stood beside the bronze altar.3 Now the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub, where it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn at his side; 4 and the Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”

    Revelation 9:4 They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

    So what does all this mean? The mark is symbolic largely and spiritual. When it says your right hand it is speaking of your work and your forehead is speaking of your mind, which if you read or study Greek you know is the soul or reason from where we get our word psychology.

    Revelation 13:16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

    Did you catch that? “The mark or… the name of the beast, or… the number of his name” That isn’t a singular mark one can receive. That number, name or mark is Man and man’s ways which have been following after the god of this earth (it is also a certain man). Ways like seeking wealth as in the final church age and living in disobedience.

    Revelation 3:14“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:
    15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

    Man’s way of faith alone in God without obedience is the doctrine of the Nicolaitans who were gnostics. This is the doctrine of Augustine which most modern Christian thought is based on. It is also the doctrine of Luther and Calvin. The reality is it is not faith at all because we were created to act out what we truly believe and God requires obedience as a testimony.

    Matthew 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

    15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

    21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

    24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

    26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

    That lawlessness and the great deception has to do with obedience to God, not just faith in him. It has to do with accepting the world and its ways and the ruler of this world. Do you not understand the Sermon on the Mount or the Kingdom Parables of Matthew 13 and 25?

    Matthew 6:19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

    22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

    24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

    25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

    28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

    31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

    James 2:18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

    So with that said, let’s look at what the early church had to say about the Sabbath and the mark.

    Further, He says to them, “Your new moons and your Sabbath I cannot endure.” You perceive how He speaks: Your present Sabbaths are not acceptable to Me, but that is which I have made, [namely this,] when, giving rest to all things, I shall make a beginning of the eighth day, that is, a beginning of another world. Wherefore, also, we keep the eighth day (Sunday) with joyfulness, the day also on which Jesus rose again from the dead. And when He had manifested Himself, He ascended into the heavens. Barnabas (A.D. 70-130) ch.15
    If then those who had walked in ancient practices attained unto newness of hope, no longer observing Sabbaths but fashioning their lives after the Lord’s day, on which our life also arose through Him and through His death which some men deny. Ignatius: to the Magnesians (A.D. 35-105) ch.9

    But again their scruples concerning meats, and their superstition relating to the Sabbath and the vanity of their circumcision and the dissimulation of their fasting and new moons, I do [not] suppose you need to learn from me, are ridiculous and unworthy of any consideration… And again to lie against God, as if He forbad us to do any good thing on the Sabbath day, is not this profane? Letter to Diognetus (A.D. 125-200) ch. 4

    The new law requires you to keep perpetual Sabbath, and you, because you are idle for one day, suppose you are pious, not discerning why this has been commanded you: and if you eat unleavened bread, you say the will of God has been fulfilled. The Lord our God does not take pleasure in such observances: if there is any perjured person or a thief among you, let him cease to be so; if any adulterer, let him repent; then he has kept the sweet and true Sabbaths of God. If any one has impure hands, let him wash and be pure. Justin Martyr (A.D. 160) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.1 pg.200

    Do you see that the elements are not idle, and keep no Sabbaths? Remain as you were born. For if there was no need of circumcision before Abraham, or of the observance of Sabbaths, of feasts and sacrifices, before Moses; no more need is there of them now. Justin Martyr (A.D. 160) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.1 pg.206

    “You hypocrites, does not each one of you on the Sabbath-days loose his ox or his ass, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath-days?” It is clear therefore, that He loosed and vivified those who believe in Him as Abraham did, doing nothing contrary to the law when He healed upon the Sabbath-day. For the law did not prohibit men from being healed upon the Sabbaths; [on the contrary,] it even circumcised them upon that day, and gave command that the offices should be performed by the priests for the people; yea, it did not disallow the healing even of dumb animals. Both at Siloam and on frequent subsequent occasions, did He perform cures upon the Sabbath; and for this reason many used to resort to Him on the Sabbath-days. For the law commanded them to abstain from every servile work, that is, from all grasping after wealth which is procured by trading and by other worldly business; but it exhorted them to attend to the exercises of the soul, which consist in reflection, and to addresses of a beneficial kind for their neighbors’ benefit. And therefore the Lord reproved those who unjustly blamed Him for having healed upon the Sabbath-days. For He did not make void, but fulfilled the law, by performing the offices of the high priest, propitiating God for men, and cleansing the lepers, healing the sick, and Himself suffering death, that exiled man might go forth from condemnation, and might return without fear to his own inheritance.     It follows, accordingly, that, in so far as the abolition of carnal circumcision and of the old law is demonstrated as having been consummated at its specific times, so also the observance of the Sabbath is demonstrated to have been temporary. … And through this arises the question for us, what Sabbath God willed us to keep? For the Scriptures point to a Sabbath eternal and a Sabbath temporal. For Isaiah the prophet says, “Your Sabbaths my soul hates;” and in another place he says, “My Sabbaths you have profaned.” Whence we discern that the temporal Sabbath is human, and the eternal Sabbath is accounted divine. Tertullian (A.D. 198) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.3 pg.155

    Paul said we are not under the Law of Moses and this was his central theme aside from the few references against the Gnostics (which by the way is what mainstream modern Christianity teaches). He spoke of this so much that he even had to rebuke Peter for his hypocrisy. This was what John wrote about to the church of Ephesus. Later and in his epistles John addresses the second issue the early church faced which was Gnostism. Finally, he speak of the church being harlotted with the world and paganism, just as the Israelites had done so many times before, thus the references of language he uses. Again, let the early pre-Romanized church speak for itself.

    “Do not be deceived by strange doctrines or antiquated myths, since they are worthless. For if we continue to live accordance with Judaism, we admit that we have not received grace. For the most godly prophets lived in accordance with Christ Jesus. This is why they were persecuted, being inspired as they were by His grace in order that those who are disobedient might be fully convinced that there is one God who revealed Himself through Jesus Christ His Son, who is His Word which came forth from silence, who in every respect pleased Him who sent Him. If, then, those who had lived in antiquated practices came to newness of hope, no longer keeping the Sabbath but living in accordance with the Lord’s day, on which our life also arose through Him and His death (which some deny), the mystery through which we came to believe, and because of which we patiently endure, in order that we might be found to be disciples of Jesus Christ, our only teacher, how can we possibly live without Him, whom even the prophets, who were His disciples in the Spirit, were expecting as their teacher? Because of this He for whom they rightly waited raised them from the dead when He came. Therefore let us not be unaware of His goodness. For if He were to imitate the way we act, we are lost. Therefore, having become His disciples, let us learn to live in accordance with Christianity. For whoever is called by any other name than this one does not belong to God.     And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and pray, and, as we before said, when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability, and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given, and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons.     He, in fulfillment of the precept, according to the Gospel, keeps the Lord’s day, when he abandons an evil disposition, and assumes that of (knowledge), glorifying the Lord’s resurrection in himself. Clement of Alexandria (A.D. 195) Ante-Nicene Fathers vol.2 pg.545

    Not one word of the Sabbath being the mark of the beast. They understood that the Sabbath was found in Christ and The Lord’s day was in celebration of his victory over death. In fact, many early Christians honored both days. I suggest you watch this very well done lesson on this subject.

    The mark and the antichrist they also spoke of with great understanding by the early church, but though worship is central it is not about a day.

    The final stumbling-block (or source of danger) approaches, concerning which it is written, as Enoch says, “For this end the Lord has cut short the times and the days, that His Beloved may hasten; and He will come to the inheritance.” And the prophet also speaks thus: “Ten kingdoms shall reign upon the earth, and a little king shall rise up after them, who shall subdue under one three of the kings.” In like manner Daniel says concerning the same, “And I beheld the fourth beast, wicked and powerful, and more savage than all the beasts of the earth, and how from it sprang up ten horns, and out of them a little budding horn, and how it subdued under one three of the great horns.” Barnabas (A.D. 70-130) ch.4

And we must not be surprised if, since the demons and apostate spirits are at his service, he through their means performs wonders, by which he leads the inhabitants of the earth astray. John says further: “And he shall order an image of the beast to be made, and he shall give breath to the image, so that the image shall speak; and he shall cause those to be slain who will not adore it.” He says also: “And he will cause a mark [to be put] in the forehead and in the right hand, that no one may be able to buy or sell, unless he who has the mark of the name of the beast or the number of his name; and the number is six hundred and sixty-six,” that is, six times a hundred, six times ten, and six units.     HIPPOLYTUS OF ROME TREATISE ON CHRIST AND ANTICHRIST. (180-230 A.D.)
    49. By the beast, then, coming up out of the earth, he means the kingdom of Antichrist; and by the two horns he means him and the false prophet after him. And in speaking of “the horns being like a lamb,” he means that he will make himself like the Son of God, and set himself forward as king. And the terms, “he spake like a dragon,” mean that he is a deceiver, and not truthful. And the words, “he exercised all the power of the first beast before him, and caused the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed,” signify that, after the manner of the law of Augustus, by whom the empire of Rome was established, he too will rule and govern, sanctioning everything by it, and taking greater glory to himself.
    For this is the fourth beast, whose head was wounded and healed again, in its being broken up or even dishonoured, and partitioned into four crowns; and he then (Antichrist) shall with knavish skill heal it, as it were, and restore it. For this is what is meant by the prophet when he says, “He will give life unto the image, and the image of the beast will speak.” For he will act with vigour again, and prove strong by reason of the laws established by him; and he will cause all those who will not worship the image of the beast to be put to death.     50. But now we shall speak of what is before us. For such measures will he, too, devise, seeking to afflict the saints in every way. For the prophet and apostle says: “Here is wisdom, Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred threescore and six.” With respect to his name, it is not in our power to explain it exactly, as the blessed John understood it and was instructed about it, but only to give a conjectural account of it; for when he appears, the blessed one will show us what we seek to know. Yet as far as our doubtful apprehension of the matter goes, we may speak. Many names indeed we find, the letters of which are the equivalent of this number: such as, for instance, the word Titan, an ancient and notable name; or Evanthas, for it too makes up the same number; and many others which might be found. But, as we have already said, the wound of the first beast was healed, and he (the second beast) was to make the image speak, that is to say, he should be powerful; and it is manifest to all that those who at present still hold the power are Latins. If, then, we take the name as the name of a single man, it becomes Latins.

    Wherefore we ought neither to give it out as if this were certainly his name, nor again ignore the fact that he may not be otherwise designated. But having the mystery of God in our heart, we ought in fear to keep faithfully what has been told us by the blessed prophets, in order that when those things come to pass, we may be prepared for them, and not deceived. For when the times advance, he too, of whom these things are said, will be manifested.

    I am not here for vain disputes brother. I believe most of us are working this out and those of us who hold a Historicist view are correct, but there are some details that must be dealt with. I don’t believe Sunday worship is the mark as our remembrance is in the Lord’s Supper and no such belief was held by the early church. They held that the Lord was our rest. I simply ask you reason within yourself and pray to the Father on this issue, one which I myself struggled with for over a decade.

    • Thank you for sharing your insight Bill! I do not believe the Sabbath is the mark of the beast, like SDA’s do. I don’t even believe that Saturday is the Sabbath. I used to, but have learned that the Scriptural Sabbath does not fall on any set day of the Roman calendar.

      I need to update this study to provide more clarity, as I’ve learned more since I wrote it.

      I believe that there will be a worldwide financial collapse, which will shut down the financial system, so that nobody can buy and sell.

      Then the antichrist Pope may proclaim that they have been preparing for this inevitable event (because they caused it), and will offer a One World Government financial system, which will allow people to join with them, and be able to buy and sell again.

      There may be a RD-ID chip or tattoo for tracking in that system, but the mark of the beast is revering (mark on forehead) and obeying (mark on right hand, actions) the Pope of Rome.

      Sadly, most Christians don’t understand that he is the antichrist beast, and they believe that he is a fellow believer; so they may deem him as a savior.

      • I read through this the first time quickly and missed the line that stated that you did not believe in the Sabbath as the mark. My apologies as I was rather busy and hurried through. After a second read I saw it, but it was a very small part of the whole. Like I said, you have great work here and on your other sites as well. Very on board with your direction and believe you have a very clear track towards what is unfolding in these final hours. I would also agree with you that the financial collapse is likely after studying economics for some time as well as the political climates of Empires before they fall. I’m starting to wonder if the current Muslim migration in Europe will give cause for the Pope to unite the world Religions. I try to suspend speculation; however, with biblical truth and educated reason.

    in my country, sunday is only holiday
    so most christians in my country go to church on sunday,
    and i think no matter what day you come to get closer or say give thanks to God with humble heart, HE’s gonna welcome us

    and im still celebrate Christmas on 25 December, but its just as a celebration..

    bible says on Luke 2 : 11, ”For there is born to you THIS DAY in the city of David a Saviour, Who is Christ The Lord”
    those “this day” word means not only in december, but everyday if we believe.

    • Faith in Yahusha is the most important thing. As for observing the lunar solar sabbath, I want to be in sync with the rhythm of heaven, so I choose to observe it. Colossians 2:16 says, “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days“, so I do not judge those who do not observe it.     I am not an SDA, I do not conform to any “denomination”. His Spirit has led me to His Truths and I am a follower of our Father Yahuah, Messiah Yahusha, and Yahuah’s Word. I know we are obedient not to be saved, but because we are saved, HalaluYah!

    In response to your statement above, what do you believe is THE mark of the beast?

      Not just SDA’s but also many that YAHUAH has already called out of Babylon (the Christianity that Constantine helped to create) believe Sunday worship will be THE mark of the beast…

    • Thank you for your comment Lizzie 🙂 I believe that it is revering/worshiping (mark on forehead) the Popes of Rome, and obeying (mark on right hand) their commands. The people of France and Spain had the mark on them, as they obeyed the Popes commands to kill the saints. Judgment came against them during the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars, when much blood was shed in the same places that they had killed the saints.

Hi David, I have read much of what you have written regarding Sabbath and I agree wholeheartedly that the Catholic Churchchanged it of their own admission and that the Jesuits control the world, etc. However I haven’t yet come across anything whereby you state any specific day of the week as the Sabbath, for example …Saturday. Also it was identified from dusk to dusk back then as that was the cycle of day. Not to mention the calendar changes along the way such as the advent of the Gregorisn calendar. So where does all the above fit in to what you identify and observe as the Sabbath?

    • Thank you for your comment Michael 🙂 I cover the Sabbath in this “The Falling Away of 2 Thessalonians 2” study. The Roman Bishops and Emperor Constantine did not change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, they created the Lord’s day on Sunday and forbid the observance of the Biblical lunisolar calendar, which determined the Sabbath days. http://christianitybeliefs.org/the-falling-away/the-sabbath-was-changed-to-sunday/

      Now the Jesuits cause Catholics to proclaim that the Pope changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, but that just hides the bigger deception, that it is not on Saturday either. There was no Saturday in the first century when Messiah and His disciples observed the Sabbath. Rome had an 8-day week then, with days that were just represented by letters.

  11. Hello David,

    If you really live according to the Gospel so that you can testify as Paul did that “it is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me.”, then you would apprehend the passage of Scripture in Hebrews chapter 4 which teaches us the the sabbath rest is entered into by faith. He who has entered HIS REST’, the rest of God, has ceased from his own works. The seventh day, previously referred to as a sign, now referred to as a shadow, is purely symbolic of that which can now be lived in 24/7.

    When you apprehend it fully, you will not on this mountain, or this place, or this day, or with any ritual whatsoever, worship the Father but you shall worship in Spirit and in Truth.

    If you walk by faith in the indwelling Spirit of God you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh, but you will manifest through your faith the fruits of God’s Spirit.

    And you can do whatever you like whenever you like if you are doing it by faith in His working because the fruit of His Spirit are: love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, self-control and faith. Against these things there are no laws. You can do absolutely anything on any day if you do it according to His Spirit.

    It is not about this day, or that day; its a new and living way.

    • Amen, Reg. I have struggled with all of these ideas, too. I think David makes some very good points about the feast days and what they can teach us, but we must be careful not to make them a “law” that we must keep for the reasons you so wonderfully stated. Our “rest” is in Christ. David stresses this, too.

      Along this line, here are some more thoughts (not mine originally). In the creation account in Genesis we read of God working for six days and then resting from His labor on the seventh day. Man was created last on the sixth day, so that man’s first whole day of existence would have been on God’s seventh day of rest. So the FIRST day of the week for ADAM was a day of rest in all of God’s creation and provision for him. Then we have Adam’s rebellion and God’s pronouncement that now ADAM would rest on the seventh day after HIS six days of labor. Now Adam would have to provide for himself and after his own six days of toil, he could then rest on the seventh day. Adam wanted to be independent and be as God, so now he would work for six days as God had worked before His sabbath rest. This was the pattern until Christ restored God’s original intent for man to rest in God’s perfect work and provision for man. He did this by rising from the dead after his perfect life and atoning death, which was on the first day of the week. Now we may once again rest in God’s perfect work and provision and cease from our own labors for salvation.

      I understand about the Roman sun worship and all, but what about the above thoughts? Are they not full of spiritual truth? I would appreciate David’s and others thoughts.

      • Thank you for sharing your insight Diane. Regarding Messiah rising on the 1st day of the week, just keep in mind that it is talking about the first day of the Biblical week, not the Roman Gregorian week. They are not the same thing.

        When Messiah rose again, there was no such thing as Sunday, as the Roman calendar at that time had an 8-day week, and the days were named after the first eight letters of their alphabet.

        It wasn’t until later in the first century, that they started to move towards a 7-day week, that used the pagan god names of the days. But the first day of the week was Saturday.

        It’s not until the 4th century that Sunday became the first day of the week, to honor their Sun god.

        There is no proof that Messiah rose on what is now called Sunday.

        I hope that brings some insight.

  12. I learned so much of the thoughts I had regarding the Catholic church…..I am a Judeo-Christian. I don’t celebrate all the festivals but do try to keep the Sabbath my Holy day. Thanks for all the info and God bless!

  13. Thank you for your teaching regarding the Sabbath. Scripture is very clear about that the 7th day of the week is the day that God set apart as holy. Please comment on the following verse. Col 2:16 “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days…” Recently, I have felt more that I should be keeping the Sabbath as well. I have participated in some of the Jewish Holidays which are always a great blessing! Recently, when I was feeling very discouraged, I was inside a Sukkah to celebrate the Feast of Sukkot. As I sat inside the Sukkah, I remembered God’s provision of Manna in the wilderness, and I was filled with tremendous joy. My discouragement was replaced by faith in God’s provision and hope in His total provision and guidance.

    • Thank you for your comment Yolanda 🙂 Regarding Colossians 2:16, Albert Barnes’ Notes on the Bible says, “There is no evidence, from this passage, that he would teach that there was no obligation to observe any holy time, for there is not the slightest reason to believe that he meant to teach that one of the ten commandments had ceased to be binding on mankind. If he had used the word in the singular number –“THE Sabbath”–it would then, of course, have been clear that he meant to teach that that commandment had ceased to be binding, and that a sabbath was no longer to be observed. But the use of the term in the plural number, and the connexion, show that he had his eye on the great number of days which were observed by the Hebrews as festivals, as a part of their ceremonial and typical law– and not to the moral law, or the ten commandments.”

      Keep in mind that there were many Sabbath days, not just the week Sabbath. And the Jews of Jesus and Paul’s day had many rules that they created, about eating, drinking, observing new moons, how to observe special sabbaths, which they tried to push on the Colossians.

      Colossians 2:17 says “which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.”

      That is telling us that the Sabbaths are a shadow of things to happen in the future. Messiah is still fulfilling God’s Holy Feast Days, so they were not nailed to the cross and ended. We eagerly await our Messiah’s return on the Feast of Trumpets.

      I believe that Christians should set aside God’s Holy Feast Days, such as Passover and the Feast of Trumpets, to rest on them, to abide in their Messiah, to reflect on how He is fulfilling these Feast Days to redeem mankind.

      But I don’t push my beliefs on Christians and I don’t judge them, for they can only know these truths by the Spirit of Truth.

  14. Hello david, i have rilly learnt alot from this site, thanks to the holy spirit who have given u inspiration. But pls can u give me a detailed date of the FALL , detailed dates of all the feast days with respect to jewish calender and present day calender. I mean the passover, unleven bread, first fruit, trumpet, atonement, terbernacle. Thanks
