This end times deception study will focus on the ‘Abomination of Desolation‘ that so many teachers incorrectly attribute to an end-time Antichrist desecrating a Jewish temple.
When people don’t understand how a prophecy has been fulfilled, they speculate that it must occur in the future.
The 70 Weeks Of Daniel Deception study disproved the concept of the 7-year tribulation, the 7-year peace agreement with Israel, and the need for a rebuilt temple where the Antichrist would supposedly commits the Abomination of Desolation.
Let’s look at scripture to see how the prophecy of the ‘Abomination of Desolation‘ has already been fulfilled.
The context of Jesus’ Olivet Discourse was about the pending desolation of Jerusalem and the Jews, NOT about the end times.
In Luke 19:41-44, Jesus and His disciples approached Jerusalem and He told them that the Jews enemies would surround them, and level them and the temple.
“Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
The 70 Weeks of Daniel prophecy told the Jews the exact year that their Messiah would come.
But because they didn’t understand the prophecy, they rejected Jesus, so He told them that their enemy (the Romans) would surrounded them and level them.
In Matthew 23, Jesus condemned the Scribes and Pharisees and told them that all of the righteous blood that they had shed would come on them.
“Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?
Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ “
Jesus was leaving the temple for the last time, and He called it “your house“. It was once the Lord’s temple, God’s Own house; but now He says, Your temple or house – to intimate that God had abandoned it.
Because the Jews killed the prophets, Jesus the Messiah and His disciples; they were forsaken, and sentenced to utter destruction.
In Luke 21:6, Jesus was leaving Jerusalem and as He looked back upon the temple, He said “These things which you see–the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.”
They went to the Mount of Olives and the disciples asked Him when that would happen. Their questions were recorded in three of the Gospels.
Matthew 24:3 – “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
Mark 13:2 – “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?”
Luke 21:7 – “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”
They were asking Jesus when the coming destruction of the temple would take place, and what sign should they look for, before the desolation of Jerusalem and the Jews.
The Lord’s purpose in this discourse was not to give His people signs of His second coming, but to warn that generation of believers of the approaching destruction of Jerusalem, and to give to them a sure sign, so that they could secure their safety by fleeing the land and city.
Matthew 24:15-16 – “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ ; spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.”
Mark 13:14 – “So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ ; spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.”
Luke 21:20-21 – “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.”
Matthew and Mark recorded similar words, but Luke gave us more details, which define what is the sign of the ‘Abomination of Desolation‘.
The word rendered “abomination” means, according to the Hebrew and Greek lexicons, anything that is peculiarly loathsome or detestable.
The abomination was the detestable enemies of the Jews, the Romans; who would surround Jerusalem, and stand in the holy land to make the place a ‘desolation‘.
Luke 21:24 confirms that this section of Jesus Olivet Discourse would be fulfilled in 70 A.D., not in the end times.
“And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”
These verses can’t be applied to an end times Antichrist desecrating a rebuild Jewish temple, as they refer to the Gentiles trampling Jerusalem, which has occurred since Jerusalem was desolated by the Roman armies in 70 A.D.
Jesus was referring to the ‘70 Weeks of Daniel‘ prophecy, which foretold the destruction of Jerusalem by the ‘people of the prince‘.
When the Jews were about to be released from their captivity in Babylon, God gave them 70 prophetic weeks (490 years) to repent, to reconcile with Him, to rebuild the temple and city, and to accept their coming Messiah.
It told the Jews that their Messiah would come during the 70th week of Daniel, which started in 27 A.D., the very year when Jesus was baptized and anointed.
Jesus preached the Gospel to the house of Israel for 3 1/2 years, offering them a new covenant.
Those that accepted the Messiah and His new Covenant were saved.
Those that rejected the Messiah were desolated.
The ‘people of the prince‘ in Daniel 9:26 was the Roman army that Jesus sent, who poured into the city as a flood in 70 A.D.
“..the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”
So the ‘prince‘ in the 70th week of Daniel is NOT an end-times Antichrist. It was Jesus, the prince who was mentioned in the previous verse of Daniel 9:25.

Because of the Jews abominations against God, He made them desolate.
Because of all of the Jews abominations, including delivering Jesus up to be killed, and then killing His disciples, Jesus poured out His wrath on the Jews, through the Roman army.
The Roman army desolated the people and the city.
Historians record that none of the wicked Jews (who rejected Jesus and who slew the messengers He sent to them) understood what was coming.
Up to the very day of the capture of the temple by the Romans in 70 A.D., they were deceived by false prophets, and were fatuously looking for a miraculous intervention on their behalf.
But abundant documentation reveals that before the destruction of Jerusalem, all the Christians inside the city were able to flee to the mountains and found refuge. Not one Christian perished in the siege, because they saw the sign that Jesus revealed to them.
The Roman army surrounded the city causing death by famine and disease.
The Jews granaries and storehouses of food were destroyed, and supply lines into the city were cut off.
Under pressure of the famine many Jews went out at night into the valleys in search of food. Hundred of Jews were caught every day, tortured and crucified in sight of those on the walls of the city.
The number became so great that there was not enough crosses for the victims, so several were often nailed to one cross.
Jewish infighting led to 100’s of thousands of deaths.
Murders by the Zealots and Idumeans led to 100’s of thousands of deaths, and all of that occurred before the Roman army entered the city.
Josephus relates the case of one prominent man who, because of the ‘great tribulation‘ happening all around, and in order to save his family from a worse fate, killed first his father and mother with the sword–they willingly submitting–and afterwards his wife and children, finally taking his own life.
The Roman army killed 100’s of thousands of Jews by the sword.
Before the Roman army invaded Jerusalem, Titus sent Josephus to speak to the Jews, offering them clemency, and exhorting them to yield.
Josephus made a most earnest plea to them not to resist the might of Rome, pointing out that God was no longer with them.
But it was to no purpose. The Jews detested the Romans. And they believed that they would be saved.
Titus sought to preserve the beautiful temple, but the Romans soldiers were so enraged at the Jews, that they pushed all of the stones of the temple down, fulfilling Jesus words.
According to Josephus the city was so upheaved and dug up that it was difficult to believe it had ever been inhabited.
A total of 1.1 million Jews died, and 97,000 Jews were taken captive and sold as slaves.
Some were put into bonds and sold to slavery in the Egyptian mines, thus fulfilling several prophecies that they should be sold into Egypt again, from which God had delivered them.
The Parable of the Wedding Feast foretold that Jesus would send an army to destroy the Jews and Jerusalem.
Matthew 22:1-7 says, “And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ‘ But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.”
Jesus New Covenant was offered to the house of Israel and the house of Judah, as promised in Jeremiah 31:31, but they rejected Jesus and had Him crucified.
Then they killed His disciples, as Jesus had foretold.
God’s vengeance for all of the righteous blood came upon this generation, and Jesus had the Roman army destroy them and burn up Jerusalem.
The destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans is a complete fulfillment of the prophecy.
These passages clearly reveal that “the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet,” refers to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, by the armies of Prince Titus.
Why then should we ignore an obvious historical fulfillment and expect a fulfillment in the future, for which there is no proof?
So now every time you hear someone teach that the ‘Abomination of Desolation‘ is by an end times Antichrist, you know that they’re teaching a wrong interpretation of prophecy.

Sorry for late response, I am so busy. I’m glad you published my last response, at least it shows me that you have an open mind to things and stand firm. I attempted to read your (incorrect) 70th Week, but it is so confusing with little Biblical foundation. I am really concerned for you, as you have some integrity in publishing what I post.

I find these comments fascinating, as preterists generally agree that the Jesuit Luis de Alcasar wrote the first preterist exposition on prophecy (Vestigatio arcani sensus in Apocalypsi) published 1614. So the Jesuits fabricated the preterists and the futurists! What does that leave?
Polycarp (69-155 AD) and Ignatius (30-107 AD) were students of the apostle John (who was Apostle of Christ), and both are clear futurists!
Irenaeus (120-202 AD) was a disciple of Polycarp, so only one removed. In his work “Against Heresies”, Irenaeus discusses the subjects of both the antichrist and Christ’s return – both events in the future!
If I have to read any writing outside of the Bible itself, I will first turn to the early Christians who studied directly under the original Apostles of Christ. To my knowledge the Jesuits started about 1,500 years after these early church fathers, so to blame them (even though they are indeed false) is simply incorrect.
Anyhow, I stick to the Bible as my authority. If the common sense makes good sense, then seek no other sense, lest it be nonsense.

Wow Max, your logic is astounding. You’re saying that theologians in the 2nd and 3rd centuries were proclaiming futuristic prophecy explanations. Well, that’s because they were future to them. But they are not future to us.
Besides that, older witnesses do not necessarily mean that they are correct. No doubt these people thought that all of Revelation would play out much sooner than it did, and they had no concept of the Popes of Rome taking power over the Roman Empire.
Yes, the Jesuits created both a preterist and futurist explanation, to deflect blame away from the Popes of Rome of the 16th century. And it’s worked very well, because here you are thinking that you know truth, but what you are saying is nonsense.

Luis, Daniel described the four beast kingdoms which would exist until Messiah returned; Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome.

Daniel 11:31 is pointing to Antiochus Epiphanes (of the Grecian Empire), the vile person, who surrounded Jerusalem with his armies (the abomination of desolation) and killed 10’s of thousands of Jews. They defiled the sanctuary and caused the daily sacrifice to be taken away for 2,300 days (Daniel 8:14). His persecution of the Jews began in 171 B.C. and the temple was cleansed on December 25, 165 B.C., which is 2,300 days. Daniel 12 is pointing to the Roman Empire, the people of the prince of Daniel 9, who were sent to desolate the city, temple and Jews. Luke 21:20 tells us what the Abomination of Desolation was,
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

Indeed you are currently reading the words of a False Prophet named David and being deceived, he has prophecy back to front and out of place, twisting scripture to fit his own version of it – at least he is mostly correct about the Romany Catholic Church! It is a real pity so many so-called Christians are deceived out there.

I don’t need to rely on other sources, I just need the Word of God (perhaps this is your error?).
To start, prophetic gaps such as between the 69th and 70th week are common in Bible prophecy, look at Jesus himself: He read a prophecy from Isaiah in the synagogue in Nazareth, check (Luke 4:18- 19) against (Isaiah 61:1-3) and you clearly see that Jesus stopped reading the prophecy in the middle of a sentence because the rest of the sentence had to do with His Second Coming 2,000+ years into the future – a period of over 2,000+ years in one prophetic sentence!
Reading the clear language of the Bible:
“Seventy weeks have been declared for your people and your holy city…” (Daniel 9:24) – the focus of the prophecy is the nation of Israel and the city of Jerusalem.
The prophecy begins by stating that SIX things have to be accomplished regarding the Jewish people during a period of 490 years – so if these six things are NOT accomplished, then the 70AD “theory” is invalid and a clear deception to the reader.
I can’t see these having been fulfilled even to this day! Another week is required to accomplish them (in the future).
“finish the transgression” refers to the Jew’s rejection of God – they still live in rejection of Jesus as Messiah! So how is that 490 years have finished? They will open their hearts at the end of the 70th week (e.g. Zechariah 12:10)
Another thing that had to occur in the 490 years is “bring in everlasting righteousness” – this won’t occur until the establishment of the Messiah’s earthly reign at his Second Coming. That happened in 70AD?
All six of the things that needed to be accomplished by the end of 490 years have as yet, not been fulfilled – so the prophecy is still active with a gap, just like that with Jesus in Luke and Isaiah as previously mentioned.
This fits with the timing of when the book of Revelation was written also – Jerusalem had ALREADY been destroyed by the Romans BEFORE it was written – another common deception out there where some try to convince people the opposite.
Also:
“Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time” (Daniel 12:9) – so 70AD was the “end of time”? We are still going as always 2,000 years later are we not? Widespread understanding of Daniel’s prophecies was itself prophesied to be not understood until the Last Days (which we NOW live in, which is why deception is more rampant than ever as Satan knows time is short)
One could go on and on, but I doubt this will be published in any event, so best for me not to waste more time. I will pray that you might see the truth direct from the Word of God rather than read the traditions of men.

Matt 24:3 And what will be the sign of your coming.
Isn’t that a reference to Jesus returning? Do does that mean The Lord Jesus Christ came back already? What about these scriptures:
Acts 1:6-8, 11 NIV
Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
The NIV/ESV/NKJ incorrectly say “what will be the sign of your coming”, making it seem like Messiah’s 2nd coming.
The KJV reads, “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Matthew 24:3
“thy coming” refers to “these things”, the destruction of the temple; not Messiah. They were asking what is the sign of the things that He just proclaimed about the temple being desolated.
The Greek word for coming is parousia; from the present participle of 3918; a being near, i.e. advent (often, return; specially, of Christ to punish Jerusalem, or finally the wicked); (by implication) physically, aspect:—coming, presence.
Messiah’s was surely present during the desolation of the temple, city and Jews; not in the sense of His return to earth, but that He commanded it and oversaw it.
Notice that the other two recordings of the Olivet Discourse do not include the question about the end of the world:
Mark 13:4, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
Luke 21:7, And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

What has been will be again. There is nothing new under the sun. Prophecy has multiple fulfillments. Often there is a imminent literal fulfillment, with a future spiritual fulfillment. Sometimes those fulfillments are one time fulfillments. sometimes, there are multiple fulfillments. Sometimes they are progressive. Preterism, historicism, and futurism are all partially true. All claim that their is the only truth, and the others are lies. If the Spirit reveals the Truth to His people, then, by believing you have the only truth, you are implying that others do not have the Spirit of God. God has a way of destroying the wisdom of the wise, of humbling the proud. I suspect that the time will come when we will all realize we are not so wise.
There will probably be a temple built in Jerusalem, but if there is, it will not be the temple of God, which is the Church. The popes have attempted to bring God’s Kingdom to earth through politics, in the same way the Jews had tried, through fornication with the kingdoms of the world. This kingdom is a tower of Babel, man-made bricks held together by man-made mortar, rather than Living Stones held together by the Spirit of God. The first is a house built on sand, the other on the Rock. The Church has lost its saltiness and its light, as is falling further and further into apostasy. As the Church make political alliances with the kings of the earth in order to bring peace to the earth, this harlot church will soon accept the man of sin as her messiah. The man of sin (the False Prophet) will sit in this temple, declaring himself to be the Messiah, and will deceive many. The people of God will understand, but those who delight in unrighteousness will be deceived. The Church is going into exile, but only a remnant will return.
The first “abomination” was the offering of swine of the altar of God. The second was the trampling of the holy city by the Romans, which left the Temple desolate. The final abomination will be the apostasy of the end times, which turns the Church into a Harlot. All of these were caused by the people of God attempting to make alliances with the kings of the earth (the Beast and the Ten Kings), in order to bring God’s Kingdom to earth. The American church that attempts to bring the kingdom of God through politics are as deceived as the popes and the Jews. They will follow this false messiah because the world is their kingdom. Our kingdom is not of this world.
The Seventy Sevens is about Christ, not the Antichrist. There will be no seven year tribulation period. The Church, however, will enter into great tribulation in order to purge and purify and prepare a Bride.
I am enjoying your site and comments. Regarding the Olivet discourse – I have always understood that Jesus was covering the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70 and coupling that with events that would take place at the end of time (not the last week of the 70 week period though). My understanding is that many historical records as well as actual prophecies have multiple applications. This helps us to better understand last day events – yes/no?
When you read about the Olivet Discourse in Matthew, Mark and Luke, you see that it’s focused on the desolation of the temple. That is the topic at hand. And the disciples wanted to know when that would happen. The topic is not the end times.
Matthew is the only one who added “and of the end of the world?” but that is a bad translation. It should read “and of the end of the age?”
The age that is being referring to is the ‘latter days’ of the Jews. The former days occurred before they were taken captive to Babylon. The later days occurred after they were released from Babylon, and ended in 70 A.D., when the temple and city were desolated, and the High Priest system destroyed.
I believe that there are multiple applications of generic things like wars, famine, etc., but I believe that detailed prophecies such as the Olivet Discourse warning about to desolation of the temple, refer to one historical fulfillment.

Your comments on the 70th week confirm my own studies. Great to see you proclaiming this truth and dispelling this most prevalent error.
Your ideas about the commonality of Catholicism and Islam has much merit. Whilst Islam is undoubtably anti-christ in that they deny the Father and the Son directly in their writings, the Catholic doctrine gives lip-service to the existence of the Father and the Son but denies them with the plethora of deceptions they disseminate.

I note that you attributed the end of the rule of the Roman Emperors with the fall of Rome in 476 A.D.. History does not bear witness to that statement. You may remember that early in the fourth century, Constantine took over the rule of the Roman Empire. He unified the Empire, bring and end to a period of civil war. During his reign HE SHIFTED THE SEAT OF POWER to Byzantium, a small city which he lavishly rebuilt and renamed CONSTANTINOPLE, after himself. The Roman Empire’s continued existence prevailed for over a THOUSAND years, during which time their fortunes grew and waned. Around the sixth or seventh (I’d have to look it up) they actually retook Rome and other lost territories and held them for about two hundred. But the Empire’s days were often troubled with wars and slowly declined and Constantinople was finally overrun my the muslim hordes in 1453.
Confusion over this historical fact began in the sixteenth century when for the first time a French historian called the Empire the Byzantine Empire in reference to the original city that Constantine rebuilt and reigned from. Later some English speaking historians repeated the use of the name Byzantine when referring to the Roman rule of this period of time and the name has stuck.
You would do well to do some study on the so called Byzantine Empire and thereby give your theories the credibility that comes from having your facts right.

Thank you for your comment Reg 🙂 I understand what you’re saying about Constantine moving east to establish Constantinople. But prophecy about the Roman beast is referring to Rome, not Constantinople.
The 10 horns of Daniel 7 are the ten civil kingdoms that were created when the Roman Empire collapsed in 476 A.D. The Little Horn of Daniel, the Roman Catholic Church, rose up amongst them. The RCC caused three of the kingdoms to be removed, fulfilling that 3 of the horns would be plucked out.
2 Thessalonians 2 told us that the Son of Perdition would rise to power when the ‘restrainer’ was removed. The restrainer was the Roman Emperors in Rome. As long as they were in power, the Popes of Rome could not seize power. When the last one was removed in 476 A.D., and the Popes were empowered in 538 A.D.
Revelation 12 is about the Roman Empire which Satan used to try to wipe out the Early Church. The sea beast of Revelation 13 is the Roman Catholic Church, which took the title of Pontifex Maximus, and took the place of the Roman Emperor, thus healing the deadly head wound of the Roman Emperors being removed from power in 476 A.D.
We know that the sea beast was in power for 1,260 years, from 538-1798. Constantinople was overthrown in 1453 A.D.
All these things prove that prophecy about the beast is speaking about Rome, not Constantinople.
All of those prophecy fulfillment explanations were taught by the great theologians during the 16th-20th century, before all of the deceptions crept in. I am confident that I have the facts right, thank you.

The Tribulation is a Time,Times and Half a Time which equals 3 and a half years, and Daniel 9:27-He confirms covenant with many for one week and in the middle of that week he causes the abomination. 2 Thessalonians 2;3-3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; The man of Sin must be revealed, means seen before the coming of Christ.

The studies on the website show that I am a Historicist, who believes that the 70th week of Daniel is about Jesus Christ, not the Antichrist, and that it was fulfilled on time, after the 69th week, from 27-34 A.D. As for the Son of Perdition, that describes the Popes of Rome who took power after the last Roman Emperor was removed in 476 A.D. And his explanations of Revelation simply does not line up with the Scriptures. Keep learning and growing! David
David, this is the best commentary on the Abomination of Desolation I have ever read! Seeing for the first time that Luke 21:20 describes what the Abomination of Desolation is just thrills me to pieces!! God’s Word explaining itself is exactly what I need to convince my friends!

I’ve come to see that when the Bible says ‘that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation’ what it’s saying is that the Bible defines everything for us. People make up stories about what the Abomination of Desolation will be, but the Bible has defined what it was. The Daniel 12 study will clarify it even further when you see that there was 1,290 days between the Abomination of Desolation and the daily sacrifice being taken away, when the Roman army flooded Jerusalem. Your teaching is true, however, it will be rejected by many, unfortunately. The general leadership of these many denominations (divisions) are just not yet ready to receive these truths, compromise and wavering are in their spirit. Today many Christian, so called leadership, are more interested in what I call: “Butts and Bucks”
This is our churches (denominations) of this day especially here in America, the land of plenty; this is part of the problem. “Prosperity Doctrine” We need to preach repentance as John did, before His return, it is even here as we speak!!!

You are right, these teachings are rejected by mainstream Christianity, because they have been blinded by the evil one.
It’s hard to comprehend that Pastors can’t understand that Luke clearly defined what the “Abomination of Desolation” was.

All we can do is share the truth, and pray that the Lord will give Pastors eye salve so that they can see the truth.
Otherwise, the church is exactly what Jesus prophesied… Lukewarm, wretched, poor, naked and blind.
