The prophecies of Daniel, Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2, and John in Revelation, all declare that Rome is the last beast of prophecy.
It has changed forms over the years, but it is the kingdom that was in power during Messiah’s ministry, and it is the kingdom that will be destroyed by Messiah when He returns.
Satan reigned in the pagan Roman Empire, where he was worshiped through all of their false Gods. He used them to try to destroy the Early Church of Christ, killing millions.
Our Lord caused the Roman Empire to collapse, which made Satan lose his power.
Satan countered by empowering the Roman Catholic Church to rise up in its place.
He used them to burn Bibles and to kill over 50 million saints.
Our Messiah caused the Roman Catholic Church to lose power through the Protestant Reformation, and then when the Pope was taken prisoner in 1798 A.D.
Satan countered by empowering the Jesuits to take control of the Catholic Church. They’re creating a New World Order, where he will be worshiped, and the saints attacked.
Our Messiah will cause the Harlot Church to be burned and desolated, and He will destroy the scarlet beast of the Jesuits.
Let’s see how the prophecies of Daniel, Paul and John, all point to the beast of Rome.
These explanations may be counter to what you’ve been taught, so please pray
to the Holy Spirit for discernment, and read the whole study to see the big picture.
Many people teach that much of Daniel, 2 Thessalonians 2, and most of Revelation is applied to the last few years of history.
Please read through the list to see how they have been fulfilled through the history of Church, and will continue to be fulfilled until Jesus returns.
The prophecies in Daniel, in the epistles of Paul, and in the epistles and Apocalypse of John, are not complete in themselves; but when their separate features are combined, you get the perfect portrait.
Daniel 2 describes four kingdoms, the last of which would be in power until Jesus returns.
Daniel 2:32 “this image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze“
The kingdom of Babylon was represented by the gold head.
Medo-Persia, the silver chest, conquered Babylon.
Greece, the bronze waist, conquered Medo-Persia.
Daniel 2:40 “the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything”
The Roman Empire was the most powerful of all, and it conquered and controlled most of the civilized world, trampling people groups that were in its path.
Daniel 2:41-43 “the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay“
The Strong’s Hebrew word for both “mixed” and “they shall mingle themselves” is 6151 “arab.”
The clay represents the Arabs, the Muslims, who became the great Ottoman Empire, who worked with the Roman Catholic Church, to control the lands previously occupied by the Roman Empire. They both killed Christians and Jews, but they have also warred with each other during the Crusades, as they don’t mix well.
Daniel 7 describes the same four kingdoms, but uses the imagery of beasts.
Daniel 7:4 “The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.“
Babylon represented by the lion, who had its wings plucked by the Medo-Persian empire, who humbled the mighty Babylonian king.
Daniel 7:5 “And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: ‘Arise, devour much flesh!‘
Babylon was defeated by Medes-Persia, represented by a bear, because they overwhelmed the enemy with their armies sheer size, which could number over 1 million. One side was stronger than the other, thus it raised up on one side. It conquered three territories previously held by the Babylonians, thus the three ribs.
Daniel 7:6 “After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.”
Medes-Persia was defeated by Alexander the Great and Greece, represented by a leopard as they conquered quickly due to effective military strategies and the small size of their military units. Alexander’s four Generals (four wings) helped him conquer, and when he died, the empire was split amongst them (four heads).
Daniel 7:7 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns“
Greece was defeated by Rome, the fourth beast of Daniel 7, the dreadful and terrible beast that trampled everything in its path, including the Jews and Jerusalem in 70 A.D.
The Roman Empire was different as it killed millions of Christians in Rome, as Satan used them to try to wipe out the Early Church.
When the last Roman Emperor was removed in 476 A.D., the Roman Empire split into 10 civil kingdoms.
Daniel 7:8 “and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots.“
Out of the ten kingdoms, the Little Horn of the Roman Catholic Church emerged, which claimed authority over both the civil world and the ecclesiastic world.
The Roman Catholic Church subdued and destroyed three of the ten kingdoms;
the Heruli, Ostrogoths and Vandals; who did not bow down to their authority.
Daniel 7:8 “And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.“
The office of the Papacy acts and speaks for the whole body. The Popes spoke pompous words, proclaiming to be God, to be Jesus Christ, and that salvation is only through the Roman Catholic Church, all of which is Antichrist.
Pope Pius IX said “I alone… am the successor of the apostles, the vicar of Jesus Christ. I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (Source: History of the Christian Church, by Henry Charles Sheldon, p. 59.)
Pope Boniface VIII said “We declare, say, define, and pronounce, that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff.” (Source: Bull “Unam Sanctum,” as cited in “Apostolic Digest, Book V: The Book of Obedience”)
Pope John Paul II said “Don’t go to God for forgiveness of sins: come to me.” (Source: Los Angeles Times, December 12, 1984.)
Daniel 7:25 “He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.“
The Roman Catholic Church persecuted the followers of Christ, during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition.
At the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D. they changed the calendar to be based on the Sun, not the moon as God ordained in the Bible. In the Catechism, they removed God’s 2nd Commandment, which forbids idol worship, and divided the 10th commandment into two.
They reigned for 1,260 years, from 538 A.D. when Emperor Justinian gave them power over all churches; until 1798 A.D., when the Pope was taken captive and imprisoned, where he later died.
2 Thessalonians 2 describes the transition of power from Roman Emperors to Roman Popes.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 “for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first“
When Emperor Constantine joined the idol worship of pagan Roman with Christianity, it created the beginnings of the Roman Catholic Church. Many Christians compromised their beliefs to be exalted in Rome, after several centuries of severe persecution.
Pure Christianity apostatized into a religion with pagan holidays, idols and theology.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 “and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition“
Both of the times that the phrase “son of perdition” is used in the Bible, it refers to someone who claimed to follow Christ, but was really antichrist in their beliefs and actions. Both Judas and the office of the Papacy have fulfilled this role. So the “son of perdition” is someone who would deceive within the church.
2 Thessalonians 2:4 “who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
The temple of God is not a physical Temple, it is the body of Christ. In the name of Christ, the Pope is seated in the midst of the Christian Church, which is the temple of God.
Pope Innocent III said “We may according to the fullness of our power, dispose of the law and dispense above the law. Those whom the Pope of Rome doth separate, it is not a man that separates them but God. For the Pope holdeth place on earth, not simply of a man but of the true God.” (Source: “Decretals of Gregory IX,” Book 1, chapter 3.)
Saint Pope Pius V blasphemed, “The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth.” (Source: Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Cities Petrus Bertanous Chapter XXVII: 218.)
Pope Leo XIII declared, “We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.”

2 Thessalonians 2:7 “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.”
Up to the beginning of the 4th century, Rome was a pagan city, and the Emperor was the high priest, called the Pontifex Maximus, of its religion.
As long as the Roman Emperor was in power, the Papal Pontifex Maximus could not take power. The last Roman Emperor was removed in 476 A.D. Shortly thereafter, in 538 A.D., the Roman Catholic Church gained religious and civil power when Eastern Emperor Justinian issued a decree making the Pope head of all churches.
The antichrist in John’s Epistles can mean “in place of Christ.“
“And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” 1 John4:3
The word ‘antichristos’ is the Greek word for Antichrist. Translated into English it means Vice-Christ or Vicar of Christ, which the Pope has claimed as his title.
In 1303 A.D. Pope Boniface VIII said in his infamous Bull ‘Unam Sanctam’, “We declare, assert, define and pronounce to be subject to the Roman Pontiff is to every creature altogether necessary for salvation… I have the authority of the King of Kings. I am all in all, and above all, so that God Himself and I, the Vicar of Christ, have but one consistory, and I am able to do almost all that God can do. What therefore, can you make of me but God?” Pope Boniface VIII, Papal bull Unam sanctam, 1302 A.D.
Pope Pius X declared, “The Pope is not simply the representative of Jesus Christ. On the contrary, he is Jesus Christ Himself, under the veil of the flesh. Does the Pope speak? It is Jesus Christ who is speaking, hence, when anyone speaks of the Pope, it is not necessary to examine but to obey.” Pope Pius X, Evangelical Christendom, Vol. 49, Jan 1. 1895 A.D., p. 15, “the organ of the Evangelical Alliance,” published in London by J. S. Phillips.
Pope Pius XII said, “…recognize the Holy, Catholic, Roman Church to be the only true Church of Jesus Christ, outside of which neither sanctity nor salvation can be found. Call them to the unity of the one fold, granting them the grace to believe every truth of our holy faith and to submit themselves to the Supreme Roman Pontiff, the Vicar of Jesus Christ on earth.” Pope Pius XII, The Raccolta, Benzinger Brothers, Boston, 1957 A.D., No. 626.
The sea beast of Revelation 13 matches up perfectly with the fourth beast of Daniel 7, the Antichrist Roman Catholic Church.
Revelation 13:1 “Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.”
John is showing us that it is the same beast as in Daniel 7, which had ten horns.
A beast in prophecy represents a kingdom power. Water in Bible prophecy represents people, and the Roman Catholic Church rose up out the 10 kingdoms of the fallen Roman Empire. The blasphemous name may be “Vicar of Christ” or “Holy Father.”
Revelation 13:2 “Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.”
John is telling us that the beast would have the characteristics of Greece (leopard), which put education and logic above revelation; Medo-Persia (bear), which put the rule of law above mercy (Dan 6:12); and would speak like Babylon (lion), which was steeped in astrology, and the spirits of the occult. The Roman Catholic Church displays all of these attributes.
The name ‘Vatican’ means ‘divining serpent’ from Latin Vatis=diviner, and can=serpent. It’s not pointing to just one person, it’s pointing to a position. The President of the United States, the King of England, have all been fulfilled by many people. The office of the Papacy is the same way.
Revelation 13:3 “And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.”
When the Roman Empire collapsed, their head, the Roman Emperors, were removed from power, which was the deadly head wound. It recovered in the form of the Roman Catholic Church, when Popes took authority as the Pontifex Maximus, and claimed civil and ecclesiastical authority over the whole world.
Revelation 13:5, “And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.“
Popes have claimed to be God, to be Jesus Christ in the flesh, to forgive sins, to provide salvation, and other blasphemies.
Satan used the Roman Catholic Church to deceive in the name of Christ. The 42 months here is the same 1,260 years as Daniel 7:25 spoke about with “a time and times and half a time” which occurred from 538 – 1798 A.D.
The Encyclopedia Britannica, 1990, Vol.26, p.938) says “The ultimate humiliation of the Church came when Pius VI was driven out of Rome by the French armies in 1798 and in the following year was taken captive by them and dragged back to France, where he died.”
Revelation 13:7 “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.”
Satan used the Roman Catholic Church to make war with the saints during the Dark Ages and the Inquisitions. They persecuted the saints so extensively, that they pronounced the opposers who testified against them as dead.
“We define that the Holy Apostolic See and the Roman Pontiff (Pope) hold the primacy over the whole world.” (Source: Laetentur Coeli, Council of Florence, 1439)
And at that time, they did have control of the whole civilized world.
The Revelation 13 earth beast describes the Jesuits of Rome, the False Prophet.
Revelation 13:11 “Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth.”
This beast did not rise up out of a people group, but were created by Ignatius Loyola. The Jesuits are the military order of the Vatican who were empowered at the Council of Trent in 1545 A.D. to counter the Reformation, to bring Protestant Churches back under their power and to kill the followers of Christ. When the Roman Catholic Church lost its power in the 18th century, the Jesuits seized control of the Vatican.
Like the title of ‘Antichrist,’ the name ‘False Prophet‘ represents a position, not just one person; much like the President of the United States or the King of England.
The False Prophet represents all of the Jesuit Generals, Black Popes, who lead the Society of Satan to deceive the world with their sorcery.
The Jesuits act Christ-like (lamb-like), but spread around the world teaching a false salvation message of following the seven sacraments through the Papal Church.
They are False Prophets.
The Jesuits are the source of false prophecy teaching of a future 70th week of Daniel featuring a one-man antichrist, as to deflect blame away from the Roman Church.
They are False Prophets.
Revelation 13:11 “and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.”
They call themselves the “Society of Jesus” and on the surface they appear to be priests who spread around the world ministering, but behind the scenes they serve Satan and they subversively do his work. They are lamb-like in pretensions, but dragon-like in character.
Here is part of the Jesuit Oath which testifies to their wicked mission. “I furthermore promise and declare that I will, when opportunity present, make and wage relentless war, secretly or openly, against all heretics, Protestants and Liberals, as I am directed to do, to extirpate and exterminate them from the face of the whole earth;… I will secretly use the poisoned cup, the strangulating cord, the steel of the poniard or the leaden bullet, regardless of the honor, rank, dignity, or authority of the person or persons, whatever may be their condition in life, either public or private, as I at any time may be directed so to do by any agent of the Pope or Superior of the Brotherhood of the Holy Faith, of the Society of Jesus.”
Revelation 13:12, “And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed“
The Jesuit General, the Black Pope, controls the Vatican, not the white Pope, which everyone sees.
Jesuits priests spread around the world converting people to Catholicism, to the false religion of Rome, as to cause them to revere/worship the Pope of Rome.
1/6th of the earth’s population is Roman Catholic, and now Pope Francis, a Jesuit, is drawing Muslims, Protestants, and other people groups under their power.
The Jesuits of Rome are empowered by Satan, and they are using the power of the major military’s and intelligence agencies, especially those of America, to make war with other countries, to push the world into the their New World Order, where Satan will be worshiped.
Revelation 13:13, “He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.”
The Jesuits control HAARP technologies from Nikola Tesla, which allow them to manipulate the weather, and even cause lighting to strike where they want.
On February 11, 2013, lightning hit the Vatican three times within the hour that Pope Benedict XV gives his resignation. The Jesuits manipulated the Papacy, as Popes usually reign until they die. But they needed to put a Jesuit in the White Pope position, which they did with Pope Francis.
They have staged events to mislead Catholics about Mary and Fatima.
In 1917 A.D, the Jesuits caused an event where 70,000 witnesses supposedly saw the sun, contrary to cosmic laws, twirl in the sky, throw off colors and descend to earth. This event, which occurred in Fatima, Portugal, caused even non-believers to immediately dropped onto their knees and beg for forgiveness.
That ‘Miracle of the Sun‘ supposedly confirmed the validity of the “Message of Fatima,” a message from the Virgin Mary, which gave warning of future calamity if people did not participate in the Eucharist communion. It served to draw the Muslim community towards the Roman Catholic Church, as they too revere Mary and believe that she was speaking through Fatima, the daughter of Muhammad.
It may refer to a future deception from the Jesuits using HAARP or other technology to cause fire to come down from the heavens.
Revelation 13:14 “And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.”
Since 1798 A.D., the Jesuits have propped up the Roman Church, creating an image of what it used to be.
In 1929 A.D., at the Lateran Treaty, the Jesuits caused Mussolini of Italy to establish Vatican City as an independent state, giving her civil authority again.
So in effect, the Jesuits have created an image of the beast. They have created a power structure in the form of the Catholic Church, which they have revived. They are using it to gather the world under their control.
It may also refer to a future deception from the Jesuits using satellites such as Project Blue Beam, which is designed to create holographic images in the sky, to create a worldwide message supposedly from God, or Mary.
Revelation 13:15 “He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.”
They are using Pope Francis, who is a Jesuit, to draw the world unto the “universal church” and those who don’t unite with her are becoming the enemy of the world.
Revelation 13:16 “He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads.”
These False Prophets now deceive 1/6th of the world’s population with a false salvation message. These people have the mark of the beast on them, as they obey the commands of the Pope and trust in him for salvation. And the Jesuits are drawing Protestant Churches to the Papal Church, along with Muslims and people of all religions.
In their One World Government, they will cause people to worship the beast, or be killed or be cut off from buying and selling.
Revelation 13:17 “and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
The Jesuits control the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the International Bank of Settlements, the Federal Reserve Bank, and Central Banks in almost every country. In their New World Order, they will control the monetary system, to dictate who buys and sells.
Revelation 13:18 “Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.”
The Pope’s title is Vicar of Christ, which in Latin is ‘Vicarius Filii Dei’, which equates numerically to the number 666.
Revelation 17 describes Mystery Babylon, the Roman Catholic Church, which will be destroyed by the Jesuits of Rome.
Revelation 17:1-2 “Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”
The seven bowls are judgments against the Antichrist Roman Catholic Church, so the context of this chapter is the Harlot Church.
Revelation 17:3 “And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.”
The Jesuits are the scarlet beast that is using the Harlot Roman Catholic Church to draw the world under their control.
The scarlet represents the blood they have shed during their Inquisition of killing the followers of Christ.
They proclaim the blasphemous name “the Society of Jesus,” but they are really “the Society of Satan.”
Revelation 17:4 “The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.”
“The color for bishops and other prelates is purple, for cardinals scarlet… The pectoral cross should be made of gold and… decorated with gems…”

Revelation 17:5 “And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
They are called “Mystery Babylon the Great,” because they pretend to be Christian, but they’re really the Babylonian religion of Sun and Satan worship.
Revelation 17:5 “THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
They have created all the major false religions, including Islam, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, the New Age Movement, etc.
Revelation 17:6 “I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.”
“History of the Rise and Influence of the Spirit of Rationalism in Europe, Vol. 2″ documents “That the Church of Rome has shed more innocent blood than any other institution that has ever existed among mankind will be questioned by no Protestant who has a complete knowledge of history.”
Historians estimate that during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition, the Roman Catholic Church killed over 50 million people whom they deemed as heretics, most of which were Christians who dared to own a Bible (which the Church forbid) or proclaimed the Gospel of Christ.
At one event, remembered as the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre, an estimated 100,000 Huguenots (Protestant Christians in France) were slaughtered.

Revelation 17:7 But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns”
We already know that verses 1-6 are about the Roman Catholic Church, so the explanation in the next verses was given to help John understand who they were.
Revelation 17:8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
The first beast of Daniel WAS Babylon, out of which came Satan’s pagan worship system which stole praise from the Father. They attempted to built a tower to the sky, as if to deny God.
In John’s day, Babylon WAS NOT, for it had been overtaken by the Medo-Persian Empire, then Greece, then the Roman Empire.
And now in verse 5, John had been shown that the Babylonian pagan religion was still alive and would manifest itself in the form of the Harlot Church. Roman Catholicism is really the pagan Babylonian religion of Sun and Satan worship, mysteriously masked by the cover of Christianity. The idols of Babylon became the idols of Rome, which were then given Christian names.
John would have marveled at this grand deception of Satan coming in the name of Christ, so that people would worship a false Christ. The Jesuits, like the Babylonians, are pushing the world into a New World Order, where Satan will be exalted, where man will defy God.
The antichrist beast, the Papal Church, will be judged and delivered unto perdition.
Revelation 17:9 “Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman (harlot church of Rome) sits.”
Rome was the great power of John’s day, which is known for its seven hills (mountains) named Aventine, Caelian, Capitoline, Esquiline, Palatine, Quirinal and Viminal.
Interestingly, an eighth hill, Vatican (Vaticanus) Hill, is located across the Tiber river from the traditional seven hills of Rome. After the papacy returned from Avignon, France, in the 1370’s, Vatican Hill became the headquarters for the papacy.
It was the site of the Roman temple to the Great Mother Goddess Cybele, which had, and probably still does, house secret tunnels under where the Vatican is located, where the secret worship ceremonies of Cybele, including child sacrifice, occur.
You will see that the Roman Catholic Church is the eighth head, which came out of the seven, so this reinforces that the Roman Catholic Church is Mystery Babylon.
Revelation 17:10 There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time.
At the time that John wrote Revelation, five forms of the Roman kingdom had come and gone; 1) Kings, 2) Consuls, 3) Dictators, 4) Decemvirs, and 5) Military Tribunes.
The sixth form of the Roman government was the Imperial head, commencing with Octavian, better known as Augustus Caesar. This form of government existed in John’s day and was in power until the last Emperor was removed in 476 A.D.
During the ‘short space‘ until the 8th head would arrive; the seventh head of the Roman beast was the Dukedom of Rome. Renowned historian Edward Gibbons tells us that Italy was divided unequally between the kingdom of the Lombards and the Exarchate of Ravenna.
John was being told that the Harlot described in verses 1-6, the Roman Catholic Church, would rise to power after the seven forms of government of the Roman Empire.
The Popes of Rome were empowered by Eastern Emperor Justinian in 538 A.D., which was a ‘short space‘ after the last Roman Emperor was removed in 476 A.D.
This matches Paul’s warning in 2 Thessalonians 2, that the Son of Perdition would rise to power when the ‘restrainer,’ the Roman Emperors, were removed.
Paul and John had to hide their message, as they couldn’t write that the Roman Empire would be destroyed, as that would have invited more persecution from Rome.
Revelation 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.
The Roman Catholic Church is the eighth, which came to power when the Roman Empire collapsed and the last Roman Emperor was removed in 476 A.D.
The Popes took the title of Pontifex Maximus, the title of the Roman Emperors, which can be traced back in different forms to the ancient Babylon. The Babylonian Kings served as both king and priest of the pagan Babylonian Mystery religion.
As priests, they bore the title “Pontifex Maximus” or “Supreme Pontiff,” meaning “supreme pathfinder” or “bridge maker,” representing “the path or connection between this life and the next.” They ruled upon the throne of Satan, which is the throne of Nimrod as the “hidden god.”
Revelation 17:12-13 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.“
They are the same as the “ten toes” of Nebuchadnezzar’s image in Daniel 2, and the “ten horns” of the fourth beast on Daniel 7.
When the last Roman Emperor was removed in 476 A.D., the Roman Empire split into 10 civil kingdoms, the ten kings; who then went on to form the nations of Europe, such as Italy, France, Spain, England, etc.
They reigned as independent kingdoms for a short while, but then they bowed down to the authority of the Little Horn of Daniel, which rose up at the same time, the Popes of Rome.
Revelation 17:14 “These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
These ten kingdoms, especially France and Spain, obeyed the Popes in persecuting and killing the saints.
The Messiah has overcome them during the Protestant Reformation, and when the Popes of Rome were removed from civil power in 1798 A.D. And He will ultimately overcome them in the end when He causes them to be desolated.
Revelation 17:15 “Then he said to me, ‘The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.’ ”
The Vatican has political relationships with almost every country in the world.
The Roman Catholic Church has ecclesiastical power over 1.2 Billion people, who live in the nations of the world and speak different languages.
Revelation 17:16-17, “And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.
The ten European countries will come to hate her doctrines, they will leave (desolate) her, they will desolate her authority over them (cease to give their power and strength), and remove her power over their countries (eat her flesh).
Alluding to the law in Leviticus 21:9, which required that the daughter of a priest, that played the whore, should be burnt with fire; and this is to be understood literally of burning the city of Rome, the seat of the whore, with fire.
Revelation 17:18 “And the woman (the harlot church) whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”
John is being told that it is the great city that reigns over the earth at his time, which is Rome.
Today, Vatican City is a city-state, making it the smallest country in the world, that has political relations with almost every country.
Presidents and world leaders who visit Vatican City bow to the Pope’s authority.
Vatican City controls the city-state of the City of London, which is the world’s financial power; and they control the city-state of Washington D.C., which is the world’s military power.
The city-states of Vatican City, the City of London, and Washington D.C., will control the world in the New World Order.
I respectfully disagree that America is Babylon. It is controlled by the Babylonian Jesuits of the Roman Catholic Church. Here is Revelation 18, with an explanation.
Revelation 18 describes the Jesuits of the Roman Catholic Church, who will be destroyed by our Lord.
Revelation 18:1-2 “After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!”
We already know who Babylon is from Revelation 17, which identified Mystery Babylon as the Roman Catholic Church.
Babylon is the metaphor for the Roman beast that Satan has empowered to fight against Jesus and His Church. Holy Jerusalem is the metaphor for the Church that Jesus has empowered.
Revelation 18:3 “For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.”
The Jesuits of Rome, who are the earth beast of Revelation 13, controls the city-state of Vatican City, which controls religion; the city-state of London, which controls the worlds finances; and the city-state of Washington D.C., which controls the world through its intelligence agencies and military.
The Jesuits control the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the International Bank of Settlements, the Federal Reserve and the central banks of almost every country in the world, the major commercial banks and financial institutions. They have made corporate leaders and country leaders wealthy, by serving them.
Revelation 18:4 “And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.”
The ‘her” is referring to the Mother of Harlots, the apostate antichrist Roman Catholic Church, from Revelation 17.
Revelation 18:5-8 “For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’ Therefore her plagues will come in one day–death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.”
Revelation 18:9-10 “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.'”
Revelation 17:18 tells us that the Roman Catholic Church is the great city, “And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”
Revelation 18:11-14 “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men. The fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all.”
The City of London is on water, but it does its trades electronically, as they control the major financial markets of the world, including the buying and selling of people. Every bank has a central office there. And they control the markets in New York.
Revelation 18:15-16 “The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16 and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!”
Again, Babylon is the Roman Catholic Church, which was described in Revelation 17:4 “The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.“
Revelation 18:17-20 “For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.’ Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What is like this great city?’ They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.’ Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her!”
Revelation 18:21-24, “Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore. The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore. The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived. And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.”
This is the same ‘uncut‘ stone that was described in Daniel 2, which was cast at the Iron/Clay feet of the statue, the iron representing Rome.
In “her,” the Roman Catholic Church, over 50 million saints were killed. No doubt at the hands of the Jesuits and all the people they control, the number is much higher.
If you’re in the Catholic Church, Jesus has lovingly called you to, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.“ Revelation 18:4
There are many good priests and people in the Catholic Church, but the Vatican leaders, more specifically the Jesuits, are empowered by Satan to oppose Christ.
Come out of her and know true salvation, which is by faith in the atoning work of the Lamb of God, Christ Jesus.
If you’re a Pastor who has been teaching about a future one-man antichrist, you have been promoting the deceptions of the Jesuits, which are from Satan.
You will be judged for what you’ve taught your flock. You will be held accountable for them not knowing the truth, so that they can be prepared.
You will be held accountable for not fighting against the antichrist beast by the power of the Word of God.
Friend, can you see the truth now?
I pray that you pursue the truth for yourself, because you are going to be held accountable before the Lord some day.
As a follower of Christ, you should be actively battling against the Antichrist beast in the power of Jesus Word. And the best way for the Church to prevail is to know the truth about who the enemy is and expose them.
Instead, most Christians have no clue about prophecy fulfillment, and many don’t really care, as they think that they will be raptured out before the battle gets intense.
As such, they will be caught off-guard when the time of testing occurs, as they may choose to preserve their lives, rather than choose to honor the Lord.
Don’t be accused of being a foolish virgin, who has not the oil of truth, and isn’t prepared for Jesus return.
Their own words reveal who they are. Their bad fruit reveals who they are.
Almost every study on this website teaches a deception that has been originated by the Jesuits, to deflect blame against the Roman Catholic Church, and to deceive Christians.
Pastors are not teaching you these concepts because the Jesuits have infiltrated seminaries and Bible schools, to corrupt their teaching.

David, this is for you. I began to learn about the Jesuits, mostly thru reading here,at at this site. I thought an article I read this week might spark your curiosity as it did mine. The article is in our local newspaper, the Virginian Pilot, on Wednesday7/29/15. The article is titled, “Why was a Catholic artifact buried in a Protestant colony?” subtitled “Mystery At Jamestown” After discovering four graves on Protestant Church property, they also found with one of the graves, a small silver box containing items which could “rewrite history” the article read. After seeking high and low for someone who could open the box without damaging what was inside, they finally hit payday and inside the box was discovered what they believe to be relics of the Catholic Faith. The grave was discovered to be that of Captain Gabriel Archer, one of Jamestown’s first settlers and a prominent and key leader in the settlement. He was buried in a “place of honor” inside a Protestant Church.The shock is that our settlers came here to escape the Catholic Church and anyone thought to be Catholic was considered to be a spy, the article explained. The box was on top of the coffin and an “M” was engraved on the top of the box. Further research found that Archer arrived with the first ships and he strongly disliked Captain John Smith. In addition to the Catholic relic find in his grave he was also buried with his head to the east which is reserved for clergy in a protestant church burial. Wow. Sounds like a Jesuit to me, as far back as the first Settlers of America! If so, the Jesuits will go to great lengths to cover up the reason Captain Archer was there in the first place. Were the Jesuits quick enough to have there men here with the first Landing in Virginia, which was actually about 5 miles from where I grew up in Va Beach? The Director of archeology says he “can’t let go” of this find,”Too many goose bump moments.” One of the headlines says, “Was he the leader of some secret Catholic cell at Jamestown? They rewrote history to say that people came here to escape taxes, but the truth is that Protestants came here to escape the persecution of the Jesuits of the Roman Catholic Church. But the Jesuits were at work early on with people like the Carroll’s, who donated the land for their city-state of Washington D.C., and who founded Jesuit Georgetown University, which helps control this country. The land that was donated was called Rome, MARYland. Go figure!
David, who are the Carrolls? Mom’s family is from England and her Mom’s family name was Carroll. They were from South Carolina. I’d like to find out more about them.
David, As I researched Georgetown University, the Jesuits, and the Carrolls, I learned that John Carroll actually was Irish, which makes good sense.
Karen, I’m glad you found some information on the Carroll’s. Interestingly, when America was founded it was 98% Protestant. For the Jesuits to take over the country they caused many Irish Catholics to immigrate to America. Today the borders of Mexico are open, as Mexico is 90% Catholic. Pope Pius IX said “Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world.”
Shirley, you are right about it hurting God the way the ‘church’ is on all fronts. Yet there is still time, to draw near t o God and HE WILL draw near to us…that’s His promise. The problem I see is that we are not hungry enough for Him and His Word, not thirsty enough for His Living water…which john plainly says is the Promised Holy Spirit (Jn 7), who would reveal Jesus Christ to us, in us and through us to a darkened world.
First Love!!?? Have we left our Lord Jesus while retaining Him in name and habit? Have we become lukewarm through compromise with so many things, even good things, making them NO. ! instead of Jesus the Risen Christ. Have we leant on the arm of flesh, our own, or someone else’s and not on the unfailing arms of our father in Heaven? Each one of in the time left must examine ourselves and prepare ourselves for the Bridegroom’s call…we may look really nice on the outside but have we changed our inner garments?
No man,, no institution is our Saviour. We have one Mediator not two or three. Jesus Christ, and He alone is our Mediator.
let us exhort one another to Keep seeking Jesus Christ in all His fulness to be worked in us.

We must be careful in this awful world and I don’t think on this side of time anyone can have 100%. Jesus said hold on to what you have until I come. I have enough knowledge to distinguish a fake from the truth. I believe you are sincere but I guess I’ll just lurk. Maybe if Jesus counts me in in the next new world I will see you there and tell you how I cried and laughed at all the teaching you posted. I have been baptized and was very afraid as I fold in front of a crowd but He was ripped to shreds for me that was the least I could do for Him. I believe He is my savior and trust Him 100%. Can you believe a man approached me while I was in line waiting to be baptized and said to me, if you’re not comfortable you don’t have to do this. I looked up at him and said no, I have to. I believe the devil will try to take any and everyone he can down with him. I really enjoy your teaching. You’ll be rewarded greatly.

Wow, thank you David for your tremendous research and tireless hunger for Truth! I had most of these pieces of the puzzle but just couldn’t seem to tie Islam to Rome and have it make sense in my mind, even though the current Jesuit Pope has teased the idea of “Chrislom” the joining of “Christianity” & Islam.
I have a 20 year quest for Truth as a foundation of scattered knowledge – you have helped me put the pieces into place, painting a clear picture. I was not looking for this when I found it, I believe I was led here by the Holy Spirit… I’m not saying you’re 100% accurate (What man is? If you study the name Jesus Christ out, you would find that it is two pagan sun deity names. Constantine a sun worshiper is said to have seen a cross, a sun symbol, and he was he one who started Christianity. They took Yahweh’s name out of the scriptures and filled it with a lot of pagan deity names and pagan words used within paganism. Christianity will become the One World Religion, and it is this, that Yahweh is telling His people to come out of during the Tribulation Period, when the whole truth is taught and when Yahweh will pour the Latter Rain of His Spirit out. This is when you will see the healings and miracles done like in the book of Acts. Yahweh returns when all the armies of every nation goes against Jerusalem.

The Falling Away of 2 Thessalonians 2 was fulfilled during the 4th century when the Roman Bishops and Emperor Constantine created the religion of Christianity, which is Babylonian/Roman god worship under the guise of Biblical religion. They replaced Yahuah’s Holy Feast Days with Easter and Christmas. They replaced the Biblical lunisolar calendar with a Sun-based calendar. And they changed the names of the personal, covenant names of the Father and the Son, to pagan, generic names.

I agree totally with that David,,,,that’s when the great falling away happened, that’s when the Roman Empire fell so the Holy Roman Empire and the Papacy could come to the forefront. Scriptures prophesied it and follows this little horn (Papacy) though to it’s end. All true, we use the Pope Gregorian calendar today.
A lot of what you said makes sense, but Rome never killed any prophets, that would be Jerusalem.
Thank you for your comment Rachel 🙂 Since Revelation was written in 95 A.D. and it’s pointing forward to events in the future, it’s not speaking about the Old Testament prophets, but rather about all of the prophets that the Father sent during the history of the Church. Examples are Peter Waldo in the 12th century. John Wycliffe in the 14th century. John Huss of the 15th century. Jerome of Prague of the 15th century. William Tyndale of the 16th century. Master John Bradford in the 16th century.
A great example is John Huss (a.k.a. Jan Huss, 1372-1415) a well-educated man from Bohemia, who came under the influence of Wycliffe’s writings, which caused him to break with the church of Rome.
He testified “The Pope is … the true Antichrist, of whom it is written, that he sitteth in the temple of God, among the people where Christ is worshiped…”
Among his dying words he proclaimed, “In 100 years, God will raise up a man whose calls for reform cannot be suppressed.”
The name “Huss” meant goose in the Bohemian language, and he said “This day ye are burning a goose; but from my ashes will arise a swan, which ye will not be able to roast.”
Almost exactly 100 years later, in 1517, Martin Luther nailed his famous 95 Theses of Contention (a list of 95 issues of heretical theology and crimes of the Roman Catholic Church) onto the church door at Wittenberg, which sparked the Protestant Reformation. The prophecy of John Huss had come true!
John Huss was condemned as a Heretic by the Catholic Church and was burned to death by a bonfire made up of his books on July 6, 1415. He died singing to the Lord. His ashes were gathered and cast into the nearby Rhine River.
All of these prophets of God testified against the Papal Church, and all of them were killed by the Papal Church for their testimony. Thank you for your reply. I never really thought of them as prophets. I’m still having a hard time believing that. I have never met a prophet and presumed they died out with the completion of the Scriptures. The only ‘prophets’ I know of are all self proclaimed and false. I will pray that the Lord would show me the truth about it. One more question if you don’t mind… I believe that Daniel’s 70 weeks are fulfilled, but what of the man of sin? Do you believe that a final Pope will fulfill that role? And how do you believe he will gain such power? Or do you believe it is ongoing through church history? Rachel, if you do a word study in the New Testament, you find verses like these that speak of New Testament prophets:
“And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.” 1 Corinthians 12:28
“which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:” Ephesians 3:5
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,” Ephesians 4:11
“but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.” Revelation 10:7
As for the Man of Sin, he rose to power in the 6th century. The Man of Sin, the Antichrist, is a position, not just one man. It is like the President of the United States. The Antichrist is the office of the Papacy, which has been fulfilled by many men. There will be a final Pope, perhaps Francis, but the man of sin is the Popes of Rome.

I know those verses, David, but I believed them to be for the establishing of the Church and that now we have the full cannon, there is no longer a need for prophets.
Rachel you are right. Jerusalem is the Harlot, she killed the prophets, and will be the Capital City of the world when the Pope moves their to rule the One World Religion and One World Government. I truly believe the White Pope will be over the Religion part and the Black Pope will rule the government part.
It was Jerusalem that had the truth and she turned her back on Yahweh and in the end lays down with the kings of the earth and this false religious system that Yahweh will destroy at His coming.

You point to the White Pope and Black Pope as controlling the One World government, which confirms that Revelation is talking about the Antichrist Popes and the False Prophet Jesuit Generals.
Zionist Jews are Catholic Jews, but Israel has to sign Jerusalem over to the Papacy, which will not happen, until the time is right to do so. When it does happen the Papacy will put the person of their choice in office in Israel to make that commitment happen. In our day there is the belief in “progressive revelation” that originates from outside the Word. What right does anyone have to teach what is not in Scripture as if it is Scripture? False teachers do not want to submit to its original intent, so they do not seek what Scripture actually (exegesis) means, instead, they conform it to what they want it to mean (isogesis). They will look to another source as their authority because they are not under God’s authority. This is why Paul admonishes us in 1 Corinthians 4:6: “not to think beyond what is written” (exceed or go past). Why? So pride will not have an opportunity to operate and puff us up. It is pride that makes one participate in false doctrine which makes him spiritually destructive to himself and others who listen to him.
The reason God is so adamant on this is because “The entirety of Your word is truth” (Psalms 119: 160). Proverbs 30:5-6: “Every word of God is pure; he is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.” If we look at the context it saying “Every word of God.” God is stating for MAN not to add to his words. Adding does not only mean additional words, but can also mean changing them to mean what they do not. When you add new words as equal to Scripture you are really taking away from Scripture.
In the book of Revelation which is prophecy completes the Bible, just as Genesis began the Bible, it states “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this Book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this Book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the Book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this Book” Revelation 22:18-19.
Of all the books Revelation has the strongest warning as it has to do with the end of world system and the coming of the Lord to restore righteousness.”
Chris, The Written Word is sufficient for everything we need for this life that we may serve Jesus and and live righteously in Him. God has made it simple. Unlke other religions that have to go here there and everywhere to find truth, we have it all in the 66 books of the Bible, the Holy Spirit breathed, inspired Words of Our Heavenly Father and Jesus who were all there in the Beginning!

I have questions, albeit not purely rhetorical, because I think that we can most certainly learn from one another, at the very least deal with the appearance of misunderstanding each of us has for the other’s position. One of many questions I have is: What does St. John mean when he says in John 20:30 “Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”? I am under the impression that Jesus had much more to say and do than what is written in the finite volumes of man. Are not each of us to gain a personal relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit speaking to us through His Word? And would that not be something that is revealed to each of us according to our ability to hear and understand, even after the final word of Scripture was written?

The Lord Jesus has plenty more to say, but He will say it when we go to be with Him. If we don’t accept the Scriptures as complete, anyone can add whatever they like to Scripture and teach all kinds of error. We know the end, Revelation tells us and we have everything we need in our bibles. God has revealed to us what is needful and no more.
Have you repented and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood alone for the forgiveness of your sins? If you are relying on anything, ir anyone else to save you, you are not fully resting on Christ and that us not salvation. If you try to stand in anything but Christ’s righteousness on judgement day, you will be offering God filthy rags and you do not want to do that. Faith without works is dead, but those works are a result of regeneration, not the cause. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Come out of her, Chris, or perish with her. You are a Law breaker (God’s Law), you are guilty and will be punished, if you do not flee to Christ. Come unto Christ and He will give you rest. PS The Truth is that Jesus never ” exercised this power in his “human capacity” as the Messiah or Son of man, telling us, “the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (Matt. 9:6). What in the world does” human capacity as the Messiah or Son of man possibly mean?!!! Yes, He was fully human and fully God, but He did not exercise the first healling and miracle in his “human capacity.” That is the RCC’s own spin on this in order to support the priests’ supposed authority to forgive sins. It is the RC Churches” false explanation of why a man can forgive sins. The Truth is Jesus exercised every healing and miracle and forgave every sin in His “capacity as God.” The other is nothng but a lie that they use to say a mere man can absolve another’s sin as in the act of Confession and Penance. The scripture says in 1 John 1:9 that we are to go to God directly. It says, “If we confess our sins, He( Jesus, God, the Holy Spirit) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” The minute we confess, He cleanses. Penance is man made and not found in scripture. It is added and therefore heresy. The RCC method of confessing sins is a means of controlling the Parishoners and keeping them dependant on a system instead of the Lord and it is not Truth and therefore heresy. My Mom, who was not Catholic but who had to sign papers agreeing to raise her 5 children to be in the RCC, in order to marry my Catholic Dad in the RCC, told us at an early age that it seemed to her one of the worst things the RCC did to it’s followers was to take away from them the ability to go straight to God with their sin and for forgiveness. She felt many people in their shame held back going to the priest or waited a long time in their guilt before they got the courage to go. Some probably never went and many of those probably never knew they could go directly to God. I think she was close to understanding how seriously this deception violated the people. Again, it is the Word of God that is our guide and a light to our path. Not a pope, not a man, not tradition. And who is the Word of God? Jesus is the Word made flesh that dwelt among us. If we love Jesus we will Love His Word. And Jesus also tells us that if we Love Him , we will Keep His Word. Not a Pope’s Word. NOt a man’s . Not a message from an Angel. Only the Word of God, the Bible. If any man brings another Gospel other than what Paul preached, let Him be accursed. We must compare, as the Bareans did, every thing a man preaches, to see if it is in total agreement with the Word of God. If not, it is not the Truth. and we must not receive it as Truth. And this is only one lie among I would venture to say hundreds that the RCC unfortunately continues to deceive their followers with.
In a few short but tragic years, Rome will be destroyed and so will her lies. And all liars will be cast out of God’s presence, and there will be weeping, and gnashing of teeth just as Lord Jesus said.

I meant to say Matthew 9:8 which is very different. So in response to my last comment using the correct scriptures, I would like to clarify my previous comments. The author of the article comments, speaking of Jesus, and I quote “He exercised this power in his human capacity as the Messiah or Son of man, telling us, “the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins” (Matt. 9:6). But the truth is that was never said here nor implied by Jesus or God in these scriptures. You cannot glean that from these scriptures. If you read closely as Jesus healed a paralytic, he said to him, “Take courage, my son, your sins are forgiven. And hearing Him say this, the Scribes were mumbling to themselves that He was a blaspheming.” So Jesus turned to them, and said, which is easier, to forgive sins or to heal? And the verses continue to say that after Jesus left, the multitudes glorified God , “who had given such authority to men.”
So here we see, nobody spoken of here watching Jesus actually knows He is God or believes He is the Messiah because what is said here is that Scribes thought He was a blasphemer, which God can not be, and the multitudes saw Him as a man who was given supernatural powers. They thought at the time that Jesus was a mere man like them. They did not worship Jesus as Messiah nor did they Praise Him as God but rather they praised the God they knew. And nowhere does this indicate that God had given the power to forgive sins and to heal the sick in these Scriptures. Jesus did however ask the crowd,” which is easier, to forgive sins or to heal”, but the crowd misinterpreted him. You cannot support the notion that Jesus was giving his ability or authority to man to forgive sin or heal the sick using these Scriptures. This is a wrong interpretation of these scriptures.
However, we can go to other scriptures, namely Matthew 10:1 where we read that Jesus summoned the 12 disciples and He “gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.” And again in Matthew 10:8 he told his disciples basically the same thing. And, yes, in the Great Commission, He told all believers in Mark 16:17 that they “would lay hands on the sick and they would recover.” So we see many times where Jesus gave the Apostles and then all believers through the Great Commission, the authority and power to heal the sick in His name.” I add that of course the power is not in us but rather comes from Jesus, as we pray in His name, yet He clearly says He gives the believers that power and authority. But what He has never said in any of these Scriptures is that He gives us authority and power to forgive or absolve anyone of their sins. This is a false teaching and not biblical and therefore the Catholic Church is wrong in teaching this and making it one of their doctrines.
In all actuality, the article is full of additions to the Scriptures, something the Catholic Church is notorious for. Penance is not found anywhere in scripture. Infant Baptism is not found. It is just amazing the extent the RC will go to in order to Control it’s parishioners rather than leading them into a personal relationship with Christ. They do this by injecting various requirements into the text, as if they had always been there. In Gal.1: 8,9 the Bible says that Apostle Paul speaks by the Holy Spirit that if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed.
In all actuality this article alone is riddled with false teachings. How do we know? Because the Lord shows us so through the Scriptures. The Pope and the RC cannot be our source of Truth. It must be the Words of the Bible.

I am also burdened by those, my family, your family, and hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of families that are blindly following the leading of the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church. I went back and read the article Chris challenged Daved to read. There are many places in it where it is easy to show Chris where they do not line up with scripture. Matthew i8:9 is not referring to forgiving sins but rather being able to heal the sick and work miracles. Jesus did give his apostles the power to do these things,heal and work miracles, as he wills and In His Name. However He never gave us the power to forgive them of there sin nature that they were Born with. If someone sins against me I am suppose to forgive them for”hurting me so to speak.” But I cannot absolve them of that sin. That type of forgiveness is to keep my heart pure and free and not to hold them in comtempt, but it is never to absolve them of sin. The Bible teaches that the Word of God is pure! It is powerful and able to quinch all the firey darts of the devil. And it will not return void I think the most powrful way to show someone their error is to go to the scriptures concerning that specific subject and show them what God says as opposed to what they are believing. We can try to paint word pictures and elaborate with analogies, and on and on but it is the Word of God that will penetrate. The Word is filled with the ability to correct and subsequently open someones eyes ! Chris is very learned in what the RC teaches. Someone has to go back to the details of that to show him the error. And hopefuly he and or others will let the Holy Spirit show them the truth.
Hi Chris; If I might make a observation about understanding the scriptures; faith is what pleases God and faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So often we basis our faith on how we feel about any particular thoughts or feelings we might hold. But if it contradicts God’s word ( AV JKJB) then it would be wise to reject our ways and follow the good shepherd way. The RRC history is replete with forbidding God flock to read his word or own a bible; and when they couldn’t burn God holy word; they corrupted it though infiltration of protestant seminaries. The war is subtle but nonetheless real and we as true believers in Christ Jesus our Lord need not be ignorant of Satan devices and must fight the good fight of faith. That first step is taken by coming out of her that you be not partaker in her plagues.

Just for the record. I have a number of family members who are Roman Catholic, and this grieves me much. It is a great deception. My orayer is that Chris and my family, will yet get to see the glories of Jesus Christ, without any mixture.
Chris, I was raised Catholic and went to Mass every Sunday and Catachesm before Mass, until I went away to College. The drastic change of being away from home made me begin to question God and who He was. I later lived a life of much depression and disillusionment until I finally asked Jesus into my heart at age 30. No more depression, no more wondering, no more feeling lost and confused, no more drowning my sorrows in alcohol and overeating. The joy of the Lord became my strength, along with the knowledge of who the Bible says I am in Christ now that I am saved. No First Holy Communion, no communion where the host supposedly became the actual body and blood of Jesus every Sunday, No confirmation, No confession no to a man and repetitive prayers as a penance could save me or be my joy and strength because they are all false teachings and man made. They are not Biblical. You can preach it and believe it until the cows come home or Jesus returns, but the Roman
Catholic teachings are not based on the Truths of the Bible. I am glad I am saved. Although the Catholic Church tried to convince me I was going to heaven because I was Catholic and had received all the timely Sacrements, I was full of fear and doubt and was still in my sin. Not until I got saved , admitting I was a sinner in need of a Savior and then asking Jesus to come into my heart with the intention to put Him first in my life, making Him Lord of my life was I cleansed of all my sins and on my way to heaven when I die. BTW Any false Christian Church is going to speak of Jesus and to the one who does not really know the Word of God, it will possibly seem like the Truth, while it is steeped in heresy and false teaching. We have to compare everything we believe and everything we are presented with to the Word of God. The Roman Cathollic religion is not in agreement with the Bible. It adds to and takes away big time and therefore it is an abomination to God . Harsh but True! There is a way that seems right to a man but it leads to damnation.It does not lead to Eternal Life. The truth is not in a Church. It is in the Bible, The Word of God.

On the point of “Bible or Tradition. ” . . . the Holy Spirit led me to judge Roman Catholic theology by the standard of the Bible. Previously, I had always judged the Bible by Roman Catholic doctrine and theology.” (p. 53)
He adds that “Mass contrary to scripture. “In my letter of resignation from the Roman Catholic Church and Ministry, I stated to the bishop that I was leaving the priesthood because I could no longer offer the Mass, as it was contrary to the Word of God and to my conscience.” (pp. 54-55)
Now you would think that a pastor in the Roman Catholic Church would have some idea of RC beliefs, perhaps more than most parishioners. But he says that the Holy Spirit showed him on what grounds to examine his position. And having made a didligent search of the Scriptures began to see the truth in Jesus Christ at last.

It is really true that Catholic beliefs are centered around Jesus Christ. I am Catholic and have spent enough time being so to know what our beliefs as Catholics are. How can a Church both be centered around Jesus and anti-Christ at the same time? That defies logic and reason. One thing I do know to be true is that no one of us has a complete understanding or full knowledge of the Truth that is Jesus Christ, which is why we are having this conversation now. It is important for us to learn from each other, and continue in all things to seek the Truth. I know that both of us will ultimately find that Truth, because Jesus promised all of those who seek, shall find. I will keep you in my prayers so that you may find what you seek, as I hope you will for me.
Chris, you will leave no stone unturned in order to find out that truth. Jesus spoke about the person who ‘found’ a pearl of great price, and then sold everything – everything in order to keep that pearl. Jeus Christ the King of Israel, the Son of God – Son of Man is that Pearl. Seek Him.

The answer is both impossible and possible. Allow me to explain.
In the middle of the Garden of Eden, God had placed two trees. One was The Tree of Life. The other was the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. In a nutshell, that is your answer.
Chris, Ask God your Heavenly Father to explain this mystery to you. Don’t ask ‘Mary’, don’t ask a dead saint, don’t ask your priest, don’t ask the bishop or the pope. Just ask your Heavenly Father. Search the Scriptures oin your kness before God without referring to your church’s leaders. God won’t bite…He longs for your fellowship…one to one.
But for now, this is how I see it. The Tree of Life was a pure Tree, with pure fruit. It was different to all the other trees in the Garden. This Tree alone could provide them ‘everlasting life’ as God says in Genesis 3:22 “…take from the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever.”
But God was not going to let that happen now that Adam and Eve had fallen into temptation and become impregnated with sin. He could not allow sin…disobedience, to go on unjudged.
That Tree and its fruit was exclusive in every respect.
If you read Revelation 22:2 you will read about ‘A Tree of Life”. This Tree is not said to give eerlasting life, but is meant for Heavenly enjoyment. This Tree is an enhancer of the life that those who are washed in the blood of the Lamb already enjoy in Heaven. For everything in Heaven is about Life.
…..quite unlike that other place called Hell…which is all sbout separation from God and His light, love and glory. Hell is all about everlasting torment and trouble and woe.
The second Tree in the middle of the Garden of Eden is also quite unique in every respect. It to has one kind of fruit but has two types of substance to them; a portion which is Good – desirable, pleasant, inviting, etc, and portion that will produce death. Both these trees were while distincly very tangible, also spiritual in quality.
How can this be? It is easy. People have been known to place a poisonous substance in a very appetising meal or drink. Everything about the poisoned food or drink looks fine, but it has death impregnated into its structure.
If man can do this on his level, it is not too hard for God to do it on His level. But this Tree would not just promote physical death, but would actually result in those who ate being separated from God. God is the source of all life eternal and physical. Adam and Eve were given opportunity to enjoy both.
Why then put that second Tree in the Garden? God wanted them to chose between life and death. And God allowed the Tempter to tempt them …having been ALREADY WARNED ABOUT THE DANGER. IT WAS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO HEED THAT ADVICE AND BE ALERT AT ALL TIMES.
God makes choices, and He wanted His children to have that same opportunity and responsibility, and He was making them as His children accountabie to Himself. God sees, God knows, and God Judges.
We all have that choice every day of our lives to chose between life and death, physically AND spiritually. It is up to us individually who have become ‘mature’.
So this picture of the two distinct Trees in the middle of the Garden is clearly a picture for us which answers your very good question.
In addition, let me also refer to God’s first creation day in Genesis 1:3-5. In this day God spoke into being light. That light was to pierce the present darkness. But God did not want that darkness and light to be mixed up in any way. So having seen that the light He spoke into being was good, He separated the light and the darkness for all time. He called light – Day, and darkness – Night.
It is good for us that these two things are distinct. That is a picture of God’s attitude and action toward all spiritual light and darkness. He will not allow the two to remained mixed forever if man or the devil has mixed them up. That is why there is no Darkness in Heaven nor any Night, and there is no Light, nor Day in Hell.
Let me say futher that the Tree of Life speaks of Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone as the source of eternal Life to all those who believe in Him and fully trust in Him alone, and call on Him only for salvation.
The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, is about knowledge, Good knowledge, and Bad knowledge, all mixed up together. Even could not see what was so bad about it. It looked very good to her. It looked good enough to eat. So she took it and ate. Still nothing seemed to have happened. So kind woman that she was, she wanted to share her religious experinece with her husband….”It really is good love…there is nothing bad in it at all…and look I am still alive…we must have heard God wrong…have some, you will enjoy it…it is said to make us wise knowing Good and Evil.”
Suppose some one offered you that ‘drink’ we spoke of earlier. It looks good, it smells good…good enough to enjoy, so you pick it up and start to drink it, when suddenly someone alerts you to the fact that it is indeed poisoned and will kill you if you continue. Are you going to keep drinking it based on your senses? Wouldn’t you normally stop and spit out what was still in your mouth and perhaps gag? Wouldn’t you thrust it away in utter disgust?

Satan never goes around telling anyone “I AM THE DEVIL!!!l. BEWARE!!! I hate your guts. I intend to destroy the image and likeness of God that is still in you. Satan is far too shrewed for that Chris. He would never achieve any of his destructive work in man if he took that approach. The reason why he has decievd most of humanity – Jesus said that many will perish and that few will be saved.
Satan always puts enough about Jesus Christ into his lethal pot of mixture. He always mixes enough truth (about Jesus) into his lies (anti-christ), or enough lies into the truth…he works either way to get his desired result and to see souls damned in Hell forever. And he thoroughly mixes it so that you cannot see anything but the good…UNLESS GOD OPENS YOUR SPIRITUAL EYES.
But you have to ask God for yourself my friend. On the Day of Judgment When you stand before God on your own without having any pope or priest or ‘mary’ to speak for you, you willl give an account of yourself to Him who knows all things. Then, if not before, you will find out that every pope in history is also in the same boat as you on that day. They will not be able to help you Chris. Only Jesus…only Jesus…only Jesus.
You also said – “I will keep you in my prayers so that you may find what you seek, as I hope you will for me.” If you deem the apostle Paul to have been a wonderfull example of godliness to follow, read his prayer in Ephesians 1:15-23, and pray that one for yourself and those you care about every day. Pray it for your priest too.
What is a Christian? Someone who believes, expresses, and embodies the values and principles taught to us by Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church and its faithful are most certainly part of that definition, and, until 1517 A.D. were the only Christians on earth. As it continues, the Catholic Church represents over 2000 years of study of the Word of God and wisdom of the Holy Spirit. It is true that human error has at times reflected badly on such a Godly organization. I challenge anyone to find any organization, religious or secular, that has not been victim to human error during its history. Yet the Catholic Church continues to spread the gospel, help the poor, and shepherd the faithful. We should all embrace and celebrate our common goal of salvation and the service of others in becoming more Christ-like. The end times will come, and at that time I want to be considered by our Judge as one who is Christ-like, not one who has judged (or mis-judged) others.
Thank you for your comment Chris 🙂 The Catholic Church teaches salvation through the sacraments, through the Catholic Church. That is not true salvation. They teach that a priest or Pope can forgive sins, but there in only One who can forgive sins, Jesus Christ. They teach that salvation is only through the Catholic Church, but the Scriptures declare that it is only through the Messiah. They declare that Mary is the Intercessor and Co-redeemer, but the Scriptures declare that only Messiah fills that role.
Catholic priests spread around the world preaching a false gospel, deceiving the world. Killing over 50 million people in not some small human error. Having a countless number of priests violating little boys is not some small human error.
The Scriptures clearly describe the Popes of Rome as the Antichrist beast of Revelation, the Little Horn of Daniel, and the Son of Perdition of 2 Thessalonians 2.
The Popes proclaim to be the Vicar of Christ, which means substitute Christ or in place of Christ. That is the very definition of antichrist.
Proclaiming to forgive sins is blasphemy. Proclaiming to be God is blasphemy. And that is exactly what the Popes of Rome have done.
You are in an apostate Church Chris. Messiah has commanded you to come out of the Harlot Church of Babylon. I pray that you will.
And let me just add something, lest you think I am part of a Protestant Church. The Protestant Churches which used to protest against the Roman Church are now in bed with her. They are apostate. They teach false doctrine. For they have been infiltrated by the Jesuits of Rome and now are daughters of the Harlot Church.

You do not have what we believe right at all, and am not asking that you change your beliefs, that is between you and our Savior, but simply respect the beliefs that I and other Catholics hold, which are rooted firmly in the Bible, including the sacraments, and most importantly all of our beliefs are centered on Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Chris, as with any denomination, their websites are not going to give total truth. Do not do your research on a Catholic website!! There are so many resources that will tell you exactly what is going on inside the Vatican and about their evil history. PLEASE, research with an open mind and heart for the truth…..expect to be horrified because it will be shocking….When you find the real truth it is truly freeing!! When Jesus says many are called, few are chosen….that should tell you right there that the biggest religion in the world can not in any way be about the Almighty Fathers business. Wide is the gate that leads to distruction, Narrow is the gate that leads to everlasting life!
I do agree Chris being former RC myself, that Catholics believe Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived, crucified, rose again and will return one day to judge the living and the dead, And is the Way, Truth and the Life !
This is the Apostolic Creed the RCC gave to the church and acceoted by the Reformers (as well as the Bible.) and it is for sure right and true, and no anti-Christ spirit an believe or say those words.
Other false religions such as Islam do not say ” Jesus Christ is Lord” RC’s do.
I am researching what the early pre-Constaninian church Father’s preached
And have been for some time. If and when they line up withConstantinian doctrines as a matter of interest.

I remember lovely RC’s and Priests and nuns myself. I have good memories
of them.
We left the RCC and eventually all established churches ,because established churches and varying doctrines we found so confusing and decided to just take Jesus on His Word being the ” Good Shepherd” and the ” One teacher”.
Also many Protestant denominations in the WCofC were infiltrated by the USSR as can be confirmed by KGB defectors and dissidents.
But the RCC was also affected and especially through the Jesuit ” liberation theology”. Which in turn also affected Christendom.I lived through the changes and teachings subtly different from what I was taught as a child.
We just left ‘ churchianity’ really,but welcome all who believe Jesus Christ is Lord.
And those who don’t of course,as they need to hear the Gospel.
