Paul Sides Is A False Teacher

This End Times Deception study is about Paul Sides proclamation that Messiah is 100% human and not deity.

The previous study proved that Paul Sides is a false prophecy teacher, as many of his prophecy fulfillment explanations are wrong, including his proclamation that Messiah would return in 2007.

Here is a summary of what Paul Sides, who writes books under the name Rav Sha’ul, has proclaimed about Messiah:

He was not deity, but 100% human.

He was supernaturally conceived with the seed of His biological father Joseph.

He went to John to be baptized for repentance of sin.

He had to have His sin washed away.

There is NO REQUIREMENT for Messiah to live His entire life with no sin.

He was not born “obedient”, but rather disobedient.

He had to learn obedience like every other human being.

That’s quite a list!  Wait until you see how he justifies those statements.

Paul provides long explanations with his notes interjected into the verses, to make the Scriptures seem to say what he wants them to say.

What you will notice about his explanations is that he manipulates Scripture, he uses the corrupt NIV to make his point, and he proclaims things that Scripture never says.

Note: The King James and other Bibles removed the covenant name of the Father and replaced it with God and Lord.  They also use a Greek variant of Messiah’s name, which resulted in our modern Jesus. Scriptures provided by me are from the ISR 98 literal translation which has the same names that Paul is using.

Elohim = the Most High. Yahuah = the Father. Yahusha = the Son.  For more information on their Hebrew names, read The Names Of The Father And The Son

Paul rightly teaches that there is no Scriptural basis for the concept of the trinity, which is a creation of the Roman Catholic Church, based on the trinity of pagan gods dating back to Babylon.

This study won’t go into the deception of the trinity, but the bottom line is that the Holy Spirit is not 1/3rd of a godhead; it is simply the Spirit of Elohim which is given to those who have a covenant relationship with Him through the Messiah.

Paul also rightly points out that if Messiah is the Father in the flesh, then that presents Scriptural problems.

It would mean that the Father would have been tempted by sin, and would have died on the cross.

It would also make Messiah’s statements about the Father and His conversations with the Father, seem odd, as He would have basically been talking to Himself.

And it would mean that people have seen the Father, which is contrary to Scripture.

The problem is that Paul swings the other way too far and proclaims that Messiah must be 100% human.

But that too is problematic, as it conflicts with many Scriptures, as you will see below.

Scriptures are only congruent when you see the Father as the most High God/Elohim; Messiah as the Father’s first-born creation, thus Messiah is deity; that the world was created through them; and that Messiah is the image of the invisible Father, who came in the flesh to fulfill His Father’s will, to redeem His set apart people.

Then Messiah’s statements about the Father and His conversations with the Father, seem very normal.

Then Messiah, who is a representation of the Father in the flesh, could be tempted by sin; and could die as the Passover Lamb, and be raised again by the Father.

Paul Sides And Ed Moore are leading people astray to a false Messiah, and they are anti-Messiah.

The Apostle John warned us, “Because many who are leading astray went out into the world who do not confess Yahusha Messiah as coming in the flesh. This one is he who is leading astray and the anti-messiah.” 2 John 1:7

Paul Sides And Ed Moore teach that Messiah is not deity, that He is 100% human, and born of Joseph’s seed.

The Apostle John is not talking about a 100% human coming in the flesh, as every man does that. He is saying that Messiah is deity who came in the flesh.

This matches his statements in John 1:14, “And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent (during the Feast of Tabernacles) among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favour and truth.”

We can clearly see that just based on 2 John 1:7, that what Paul Sides and Ed Moore are teaching is contrary to Scripture, for they deny that deity came in the flesh.

Below are summaries of what Paul teaches in red, along with a summary of my explanations in black.  I only provide the key statements from Paul.  Reference links are provided so that you can read the full studies.

Paul Sides proclaims that Messiah’s birth is the result of Joseph’s seed, as he says that Joseph was intimate with her.

Matthew 1:28 clearly proclaims that Mary had not been intimate with Joseph, but was made pregnant by the Spirit of Elohim.

But the birth of יהושע Yahusha Messiah was as follows: After His mother Miryam was engaged to Yosĕph, BEFORE they came together, she was found to be pregnant from the Set-apart Spirit.”

Luke 1:34 clearly proclaims that Mary was a virgin, and had never been intimate with a man.

And Miryam said to the messenger, “How shall this be, since I do not know a man?

Luke 1:35 proclaims how she became pregnant:

And the messenger answering, said to her, “The Set-apart Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you. And for that reason the Set-apart One born of you shall be called: Son of Elohim.”

Who are you going to believe?  Paul Sides?  Or Yahuah’s Word?

He teaches that the concept of the Virgin birth is from Babylon.

Paul Sides teaches the virgin birth of Messiah is from Babylon

The irony of Paul Sides’ proclamation that the virgin birth is a pagan concept from Babylon, is that he teaches the message of the Mazzaroth, the constellations which from the beginning have foretold the plan of Elohim’s redemption of His set-apart ones.

Elohim declared the message through constellations like Virgo, which represent the Virgin birth of the Messiah.

Yet here Paul Sides is declaring that the concept of the virgin birth is not in Scripture, but is Babylonian in origin.

It is true that Satan used the Babylonians to corrupt the message of the Mazzaroth, but the since creation the stars above have declared the virgin birth of our beloved Messiah; which proves that Paul Sides is deceiving you.

Paul Sides teaches that Messiah is not deity, but 100% human.

Yahusha IS NOT Yahuah in the flesh. He is not our “God” he is our brother in the family of Elohim, the firstborn son of the resurrection of all eternal creation. Yahuah is his God and Father JUST LIKE Yahuah is ours.

Yahusha was 100% human. Only humans can die, the sons of Yahuah cannot die! His death proved he was only human and 0% divine. Yahuah cannot die, nor be tempted by Evil… (YNY)

These verse clearly show that Messiah is deity.

For a Child shall be born unto us, a Son shall be given unto us, and the rule is on His shoulder. And His Name is called Wonder, Counsellor, STRONG Ěl, Father of Continuity, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

Therefore Yahuah Himself gives you a sign: Look, the maiden conceives and gives birth to a Son, and shall call His Name Immanu’ĕl.” Isaiah 7:14

See, a maiden shall conceive, and she shall give birth to a Son, and they shall call His Name Immanu’ĕl,” which translated, means, “Ěl WITH US” Matthew 1:23

And fear seized all, and they praised Elohim, saying, “A great prophet has been raised up among us,” and, “Elohim HAS VISITED HIS PEOPLE.” Luke 7:16

The Yehuḏim (Jews) answered Him, saying, “We do not stone You for a good work, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself Elohim.” John 10:33

“Yahusha said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father, and how do you say, ‘Show us the Father’? “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and THE Father IS IN Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak from Myself. But the Father who stays in Me does His works.” John 14:9-10

And I do not pray for these alone, but also for those believing in Me through their word, so that they all might be one, as You, Father, ARE IN Me, and I in You, so that they too might be one in Us, so that the world might believe that You have SENT Me. And the esteem which You GAVE Me I have given them, so that they might be one as We are one.” John 17:2-21

And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Master and MY Elohim!” John 20:28

in whom the mighty one of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so that the enlightening of the Good News of the esteem of Messiah, WHO IS THE LIKENESS OF Elohim, does not shine on them” 2 Corinthians 4:4

And all matters are from Elohim, who has restored us to favour with Himself through יהושע Messiah, and has given us the service of restoration to favour, that is, that Elohim WAS IN Messiah restoring the world to favour unto Himself, not reckoning their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of restoration to favour.” 2 Corinthians 5:18

in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, WHO IS THE LIKENESS OF THE INVISIBLE, the FIRST-BORN of all creation.” Colossians 1:14-5

looking for the blessed expectation and esteemed appearance of THE GREAT Elohim and our Saviour Yahusha Messiah” Titus 2:13

“WHO BEING THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE ESTEEM AND THE EXACT REPRESENTATION OF HIS SUBSTANCE, and sustaining all by the word of His power, having made a cleansing of our sins through Himself, sat down at the right hand of the Greatness on high,” Hebrews 1:3

But TO THE Son He says, “Your throne, O Elohim, is forever and ever, a sceptre of straightness is the sceptre of Your reign. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness. Because of this, Elohim, Your Elohim, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” Hebrews 1:8-9

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.” John 1:1

It’s clearly telling us that the Word existed in the beginning.

And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favour and truth.” John 1:14

It’s telling us that the Word came in the flesh to dwell among us.

It’s pointing to when Messiah was born on the Feast of Tabernacles.

Matthew Poole’s Commentary on the Holy Bible – John 1:14

The Word was made flesh; the Son of God, called the Word, for the reasons before specified, was made truly man, as flesh often signifieth in holy writ, Ge 6:12; Ps 65:2; Isa 40:5-6; not a vile, despicable, mortal man. The evangelist rather saith he was made flesh, than he was made man, more plainly to distinguish the two natures in Christ; to assert the truth of his human nature; to let us know that Christ assumed human nature in common, not the particular nature of any; to commend the love of God, and to let us see, that his plaster was proportioned to our sore, it reached all flesh.

The evangelist saith not he was changed into flesh; but, by assuming, he was made flesh. And dwelt amongst us: and he tabernacled amongst us; amongst us men, or amongst men that were his disciples: the word signifieth properly, he made no long stay.  And we beheld his glory; and we beheld the signs.

Paul Sides says that it is within covenant with our Elder Brother that we too are sons/daughters and co-heirs to all creation…

—-John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive Yahusha as the Messiah, to those who believed in (the covenant that bears) his name, he gave the right to become children of Yahuah.

Paul did not specify which Bible version this is. It looks closest to the NIV, but the name Yahusha has been inserted.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” NIV

Then he inserts his comments to make the verse say something it is not proclaiming.

The verse does not say that ‘those who believe in the covenant which bears his name‘; it says ‘those who believe in his name‘.

The ISR 98 reads

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of Elohim, to those believing in His Name,”

Beyond his clear manipulation of Scripture, here’s the problem with his explanation about the covenant. He is saying that the covenant was made between the Father and the human Son, Yahusha.

He seems to be teaching that this covenant, which he calls the Yahushaic Covenant, only came during Messiah’s ministry, but that is not correct.

Messiah was the Mediator of the everlasting covenant, meaning He mediated it with the Father to Abraham, and agreed to ratify it with His blood as the Passover Lamb.

It’s telling us that the renewed (Abrahamic) Covenant could not be confirmed or ratified until the One who made it died. We know that it was Messiah who died to ratify the covenant, so it is He who Mediated it, which places Him in the time of Abraham.

And because of this He is the Mediator of a renewed covenant, so that, death having taken place for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, those who are called might receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance. For where a covenant is, it is necessary for the death of the covenanted one to be established. For a covenant over those dead is firm, since it is never valid while the covenanted one is living. Hebrews 9:15-17

Any covenant made with man is flawed.  Only Yahusha as the Son of Elohim and the Son of man, could fulfill this covenant, to represent both the Father and man.

and to יהושע the Mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better than the blood of Heḇel.” Hebrews 12:24

Yahusha, the co-author of the Eternal Covenant, confirmed it by His sacrificial death.

Hebrews 7:22 tells us, “By as much as this יהושע Yahusha has become a guarantor of a better covenant.

The word “surety” means “to pledge” as a “bondsman“.  When Yahusha co-created the Abrahamic Covenant, He agreed to be the surety, the blood sacrifice, that would confirm the covenant.

Hebrews 8:6 tells us, “But now He has obtained a more excellent service, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was constituted on better promises.”

This places Messiah with His Father to mediate the covenant, which proves that Messiah existed before His earthly ministry.

Paul Sides teaches that Messiah did not exist before He was born to Mary.

Yahusha was created and began to exist in his mother’s womb! (SOS)

Yahusha was not Yahuah! He was not “divine”, he was HUMAN… until he was begotten divine through resurrection… THEN he became the firstborn of eternal creation! (YNY)

These Scriptures clearly proclaim that Messiah did exist beforehand.

But you, Bĕyth Leḥem (Bethlehem) Ephrathah, you who are little among the clans of Yehuḏah (Judah, out of you shall come forth to Me the One to become Ruler in Yisra’ĕl (Israel). And HIS COMINGS FORTH ARE OF OLD, FROM EVERLASTING.” Micah 5:2

No one has ever seen Elohim. The only brought-forth Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He did declare.” John 1:18

And no one has gone up into the heaven except He who came down from the heaven – the Son of Adam.”  John 3:13

For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life.  For Elohim did not SEND HIS Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17

“Because of this, then, the Yehuḏim (Jews) were seeking all the more to kill Him, ‘because not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He also called Elohim His own Father, making Himself equal with Elohim.’” John 5:18

And the Father who SENT Me, He bore witness of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.” John 5:37

For the bread of Elohim is He who comes down out of the heaven and gives life to the world.” John 6:33

Because I HAVE COME DOWN OUT OF THE HEAVEN, not to do My own desire, but the desire of Him who sent Me.” John 6:38

Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from Elohim – HE HAS SEEN THE Father” John 6:46

I am the living bread which CAME DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN. If anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever. And indeed, the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” John 6:51

This is the bread which CAME DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN, not as your fathers ate the manna and died. He who eats this bread shall live forever.” John 6:58

What if you see the Son of Aḏam going up where He was BEFORE?” John 6:62

But I know Him, because I AM FROM HIM, AND HE SENT ME.” John 7:29

And He said to them, “You are from below, I AM FROM ABOVE. You are of this world, I am not of this world.” John 8:23,

So Yahusha said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Aḏam, then you shall know that I am He, and that I do none at all of Myself, but as My Father TAUGHT Me, these words I speak. And He who SENT ME is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do what pleases Him.” John 8:28-29

“Yahusha said to them, “If Elohim were your Father, you would love Me, for I CAME FORTH FROM ELOHIM, and am here. For I have not come of Myself, but HE SENT ME.” John 8:42

“Yahusha said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, BEFORE ABRAHAM CAME TO BE, I AM. Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him.” John 8:58-59

He is saying that He proceeded Abraham, not as a thought or future fulfillment, but that He existed.

‘I Am’ = ‘Yah’ the shortened name of Yahuah, which is incorporated in the name of the Son. When you call upon the name of the Son, you invoke the shortened name of the Father, Yah.

And this is everlasting life, that they should know You, the only true Elohim, and יהושע Messiah whom YOU HAVE SENT.” John 17:3

And now, esteem Me with Yourself, Father, with the esteem which I had with You BEFORE the world was.” John 17:5

Father, I desire that those whom You have given Me, might be with Me where I am, so that they see My esteem which You have given Me, because You loved Me BEFORE the foundation of the world.” John 17:24

For, let this mind be in you which was also in Messiah Yahusha, who, being in the form of Elohim, did not regard equality with Elohim a matter to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, and CAME TO BE in the likeness of men.” Philippians 2:5-7

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life:
And the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and announce to you that everlasting life which was with the Father and was manifested to us.
We announce to you what we have seen and heard, so that you too might have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son יהושע Messiah.
1 John 1:1-3

And we have seen and bear witness that the Father has SENT the Son, Saviour of the world” 1 John 4:14

Paul Sides teaches that Messiah was born of Joseph’s seed in a miraculous way, without him being intimate with Mary, making Messiah 100% human.

Paul teaches that Isaac, Samson and John the Baptist, were all born by immaculate conception, and that Messiah’s conception was just one of 7 such miraculous births in scripture as a “sign” of Yahusha’s important in The Plan of Salvation.

In each case, Yahuah came and announced the birth of a child through a messenger then brought about that birth in a miraculous way using the seed of the biological father… outside of sexual conception.

Yahusha is different in that he was the most anointed of all and in true form Yahuah came to announce his birth through a messenger and then in a miraculous way the child was conceived with the seed of his biological father. (MV)

The Scriptures never declare any such thing in regard to Isaac, Sampson, John the Baptist or Messiah. Paul is teaching concepts that clearly are not in Scripture.

The Scriptures declare that because the Set-apart Spirit would cause Mary to become pregnant, that Messiah would be called the SON OF Elohim.

And the messenger answering, said to her, “The Set-apart Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you. And for that reason the Set-apart One born of you shall be called: Son of Elohim.” Luke 1:35

Do you think that if the Spirit of Elohim was going to take sperm from Joseph to use to cause Mary to become pregnant, Joseph would have known about it?  Instead he was surprised to find out that Mary was pregnant and he almost put her away.

“But the birth of יהושע Messiah was as follows: After His mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant from the Set-apart Spirit.

And Joseph her husband, being righteous, and not wishing to make a show of her, had in mind to put her away secretly.

“But while he thought about this, see, a messenger of יהוה appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for that which is in her was brought forth from the Set-apart Spirit” Matthew 1:18-20

Paul asked, How did Mary become pregnant with human DNA from the Spirit who overcame her?

Elohim created Adam and Eve out of the dirt of the ground.  I’m pretty sure that His Spirit can cause Mary to become pregnant with the right DNA.

Paul Sides teaches that Yahuah can’t be tempted by sin, so Messiah is not deity.

But if Messiah is 100% human, the Scriptures proclaim that all humans are sinful.

For there is NOT a righteous man on earth who does good and does not sin” Ecclesiastes 7:20

for ALL have sinned and fall short of the esteem of Elohim” Romans 3:23

Therefore a 100% human Messiah could not be perfect and could not have been the spotless Lamb of Elohim, whose blood covers our sins.

Paul Sides teaches that Messiah was baptized by John to have His sin washed away.

Yahusha, we know, went to John the Immerser to be baptized for repentance of sin (that was John’s commission, to set the path straight for the Messiah), to fulfill all righteousness through the ritual of Mikveh(Baptism). In other words, for the Messiah to begin his ministry as High Priest of Israel (being the great grandson of Yahusha III, the last Zadok High Priest), he had to have “his sin washed away” to fulfill all righteousness in him, so that as High Priest he could walk and know no sin. SOURCE?

Yahusha was both, and went to John for repentance of sin as John fulfilled his commission to “set the path of the Messiah straight” as his father Zezhariah the priest foretold in Luke 1:77 “To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins.” This is why Yahusha went to John! To “fulfill all righteousness” in him, set his path strait, through Mikveh, and annnoint him High Priest of Israel and transfer the sins of the world onto the shoulders of Yahusha as the scapegoat. SOURCE?

What Paul is saying is that Messiah sinned before He was anointed at His baptism, but after that He had to walk a perfect path as the High Priest.

Show me the verse(s) that proclaim that Messiah went to John for repentance of His sins.

Show me the verse(s) that proclaim that Messiah had to have His sin washed away.

Show me the verse(s) that say that He committed a sin.

Matthew 3:15  “But Yahusha answering, said to him, “Permit it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fill all righteousness.” Then he permitted Him.”

Albert Barnes’ Notes on the Bible Matthew 3:15

Thus it becometh us. It is fit and proper. And though you may feel yourself unworthy, yet it is proper it should be done.

All righteousness. There was no particular precept in the Old Testament requiring this, but he chose to give the sanction of his example to the baptism of John, as to a Divine ordinance. The phrase “all righteousness,” here, is the same as a righteous institution or appointment. Jesus had no sin. But he was about to enter on his great work. It was proper that he should be set apart by his forerunner, and show his connection with him, and give his approbation to what John had done. Also, he was baptized that occasion might be taken, at the commencement of his work, for God publicly to declare his approbation of him, and his solemn appointment to the office of Messiah.

Adam Clarke’s Commentary on the Bible – Matthew 3:15

The following passage, quoted from Justin Martyr, will doubtless appear a strong vindication of this translation. “Christ was circumcised, and observed all the other ordinances of the law of Moses, not with a view to his own justification; but to fulfill the dispensation committed to him by the Lord, the God and Creator of all things.” – Wakefield.

But was this an ordinance? Undoubtedly: it was the initiatory ordinance of the Baptist’s dispensation. Now, as Christ had submitted to circumcision, which was the initiatory ordinance of the Mosaic dispensation, it was necessary that he should submit to this, which was instituted by no less an authority, and was the introduction to his own dispensation of eternal mercy and truth. But it was necessary on another account: Our Lord represented the high priest, and was to be the high priest over the house of God: – now, as the high priest was initiated into his office by washing and anointing, so must Christ: and hence he was baptized, washed, and anointed by the Holy Ghost. Thus he fulfilled the righteous ordinance of his initiation into the office of high priest, and thus was prepared to make an atonement for the sins of mankind.

Matthew Poole’s Commentary on the Holy Bible – Matthew 3:15

Jesus said unto him, Suffer it to be so now. The question is not whether thou or I be more excellent. It is thy duty to baptize, for my Father hath sent thee to baptize. It is my pleasure and duty to be obedient to my Father, whose will I know, though it be hidden from thee. Baptism is a new law of the gospel church, of which though I be the Head, yet I must be conformed to the members of it, concerning which my Father’s will is, that they should be baptized with water, as well as with the Holy Ghost. Besides that, I am to put an end to the Jewish typical circumcision, and to put a new face upon the church, by instituting another sacrament of initiation. It is therefore both just and equal that I should be baptized (though not for those ends for which others, that are my members, are baptized, not for remission of sins, but) for the fulfilling of all righteousness, in obeying my Father’s will.

His being baptized marked His anointing, the start of His ministry and the start of the 70th week of Daniel.

Messiah came to fulfill all that was commanded of men, so He had John baptize Him to fulfill His divine appointment, not for remission of sins.

These verses clearly declare that Messiah was without sin.

And He was appointed a grave with the wrong, and with the rich at His death, because He had done no violence (wrong), nor was deceit in His mouth.” Isaiah 53:9

For He made Him WHO KNEW NO SIN to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of Elohim” 2 Corinthians 5:21

For we do not have a High Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin” Hebrews 4:15

knowing that you were redeemed from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers, not with what is corruptible, silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Messiah, as of a lamb UNBLEMISHED AND SPOTLESS, foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for your sakes.” 1 Peter 1:18-19

who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth,” 1 Peter 2:22

For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the defiled, sets apart for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of the Messiah, who through the everlasting Spirit offered Himself UNBLEMISHED to Elohim, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim?” Hebrews 9:14

Paul Sides teaches that Messiah was not born “obedient”, but rather disobedient, and that He had to learn obedience like every other human being.

Yahusha was a human being, who repented before John at his Mikveh (baptism) (SS)

Yahusha was not born a “perfect” demi-god, but “perfected” through a life of tribulations as a human being (son of man). He was not born “obedient”, but rather disobedient; and had to learn obedience like every other human being. He was not “Yahuah in the flesh”, in fact he did not even know Yahuah, but had to grow in the knowledge of his Heavenly Father like every other human being! Yahusha became, after resurrection, not before… better than the angles. Before that, he was but human. (SS)

Yahusha actually DID have to learn obedience to Yahuah.  He was NOT perfect from birth but had to be perfected through suffering just like all men! (YH)

He is basing that claim on verses such as Hebrews 5:8-9, “though being a Son, He learned obedience by what He suffered.  And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting deliverance to all those obeying Him.”

The word ‘learned’ in the Greek is manthano; prolongation from a primary verb, another form of which, matheo, is used as an alternate in certain tenses; to learn (in any way):—learn, understand.

He understood obedience and the price of obedience, as he followed His Father’s will, not his own.

The word ‘perfect’ in the Greek is tel-i-o’-o ; to complete, i.e. (literally) accomplish, or (figuratively) consummate (in character):—consecrate, finish, fulfil, make) perfect.

Messiah finished His work, He fulfilled His calling as the Passover Lamb, as He endured being hit, being spat on, being whipped, and being crucified.

He declared this when He said “It is finished.”  The ISR 98 says “It has been accomplished!

John Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible – Hebrews 5:8-9

yet learned he obedience; not to his parents, or civil magistrates, though that is true; nor merely to the precepts of the law, which he did; but unto death: through sufferings he became obedient to death, even the death of the cross: and this he learnt; not that he was ignorant of the nature of it; nor was he destitute of an obedient disposition to it; but the meaning is, he had an experience of it, and effected it; and which was voluntary, and done in our room and stead; and is the rule and the measure of our righteousness before God: and this he learned,

And being made perfect,… In his obedience, through sufferings; having completed his obedience, gone through his sufferings, and finished his sacrifice, and being perfectly glorified in heaven:

Paul Sides uses the NIV Bible, which he condemns as corrupt, to make his points seem valid, that Messiah is fully human in every way. (SS)

He (inserted his comments) into Hebrews 2:17 of the NIV.

“For this reason he (Yahusha) had to be made like them (he was made human just like I was), fully human in every way (doesn’t get any clearer than that), in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest”

The King James does not say “fully human in every way”;

Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

The ISR98 says does not say “fully human in every way”;

So in every way He had to be made like His brothers, in order to become a compassionate and trustworthy High Priest in matters related to Elohim, to make atonement for the sins of the people.”

There’s no integrity in using a corrupt Bible version to make your points, when other literal translations clearly don’t say that.

Paul uses the King James to point to a singular God that created earth and man.

Genesis 1:26  Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”  27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

First let me point out the obvious (or what should be obvious at least).  Verse 26 is a contradiction of verse 27 where all of the sudden “God” is singular “his own image, in the image of God he created him” so which is it.  Did “they” do it… or did “he” do it?  (GEN)

By using the KJV, he can point to the seemingly singular ‘God’, which helps him make his point.

But if he used a Bible version that includes the true names, like the ISR98, it uses Elohim, which is plural, which invalidates his statement.

Genesis 1:26, And Elohim said, let Us make man in Our, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the livestock, and over all the earth and over all the creeping creatures that creep on the earth.”

Elohim in the Hebrew is elohiym, the plural of 433 (which means A deity or the Deity:—God, god.); gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:—angels, X exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty.

Add in the plurals US and OUR, and you clearly see that the word Elohim points to the Father and Son being active in the creation.

So even if the verse read, Then Elohim said, “Let Elohim make man in Elohim’s image, in Elohim’s likeness,, as Paul says that it should read, then the name Elohim is plural in all those instances. (GEN)

That is why the ISR98 Literal Translation uses Us and Our, to point back to the plural Elohim.

This short video shows how the Hebrew language shows that all was created through the Son, who then came to save as the Passover Lamb.

These verses point to Messiah being present and active in creation:

“and to make all see how this secret is administered, which for ages past has been hidden in ELOHIM WHO CREATED ALL THROUGH יהושע YAHUSHA MESSIAH” Ephesians 3:9  (Note: through ‘through Yahusha Messiah’ is missing is some manuscripts for this verse, it may have been added based on Colossians 1:16 and Hebrews 1:2)

who is the likeness of the invisible Elohim, the first-born of all creation. Because in Him were created all that are in the heavens and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or rulerships or principalities or authorities – ALL HAVE BEEN CREATED THROUGH HIM AND FOR HIM. And He is before all, and in Him all hold together.” Colossians 1:15-17

Elohim, having of old spoken in many portions and many ways to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all, THROUGH WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE AGES,” Hebrews 1:1-2

For to which of the messengers did He ever say, “You are My Son, today I have brought You forth”? And again, “I shall be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son”? And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, “Let all the messengers of Elohim do reverence to Him.” Hebrews 1:5-6

And to the messenger of the assembly in Laodikeia write, ‘The Amĕn, the Trustworthy and True Witness, THE BEGINNING OF THE CREATION OF ELOHOM, says this:” Revelation 3:14

It’s telling us that Messiah was the beginning of creation by Elohim. From Genesis to Revelation, the Scriptures proclaim that all was created through Messiah.

Paul Sides repeatedly uses the corrupt NIV to justify his explanations

Numbers 23:19 Yahuah is not human, that he should lie, not a human being (son of man), that he should repent. Does he speak and then not act? (Yahuah is not going to say he is not a man, then do just that and come to Earth as a man!) Does he promise and not fulfill? (a clear promise never to “come to Earth in the flesh)

He is using the NIV to make his point, but adding the name Yahuah to make it seem legit. But he knows that the NIV is corrupt.  A true theologian would use a literal translation to prove his point.

Here is the verse in the KJV:

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Here is the verse in the ISR 98:

“Ěl is not a man, to lie; nor a son of man, to repent! Has He said, and would He not do it; or spoken, and would not confirm it?

The context of the passage is simply proclaiming that the Father is not a man, that he should lie.

Adam Clarke’s Commentary on the Bible – Numbers 23:19

God is not a man, that he should lie – This seems to be spoken to correct the foregoing supposition of Balak that God could change his mind. Even the heathen would not allow that their supreme god could be caught in a falsity.

Colossians 1:15 The Son is the (human) image (or proxy) of the invisible Yahuah, the firstborn over all creation.

Once again  he uses the corrupt NIV to make his point, and he modifies it to include the Father’s true name, so it seems legit. This is Paul Side’s Bible version.

Paul Sides declares, “I believe … the Word of Yahuah is best-understood alone independent of the “interpretations and doctrines of men” which tend to confuse and distort the simple meaning of the words.” (SOF)

Amen to that! But time and time again he cites Scripture and (inserts his interpretations in the middle of the passage).

Conclusion about Paul Sides, aka Rav Shaul:

You can clearly see that he is manipulating the Scriptures to make them seem to say what he wants them to say.

You can see that he lacks integrity by using the corrupt NIV, because it includes explanations that help him make his point.

You can see that he makes proclamations with have no Scriptural backing.

You can see that he is wrong about his assertion that Messiah did not exist before He was born in the flesh.

You can see that he is wrong about proclaiming that Messiah was 100% human and not deity.

You can see that his statements about Messiah being sinful are blasphemous.

He is teaching a false messiah, all while proclaiming that others are following a false messiah.

Many people have awakened to the truths about Messiah’s covenant name and the name of the Father; about pagan Easter and Christmas, which were created to replace Elohim’s seven Holy Feast Days, which Messiah is fulfilling to redeem His set-apart people.

Paul Sides teaches about those truths, which causes people to trust him, but then he guides people down a false path of deception.

He is either deceiving people on purpose as part of an agenda, or he is woefully deceived himself.

Keep in mind that he outright lied about me posting 1-star reviews on all of his books on Amazon.  Anyone can clearly read the reviews to see that almost all of them are 5-stars, and there are only two that have 1-star, and they are not from me.

It’s really not my desire to write these kind of reviews, but I am compelled to do so.  Lest anyone think that I have targeted Paul Sides as some agenda, I have reviews on a dozen other false teachers on this website.

The flock needs to be protected from people like him, who are leading them down the wrong path.

‘But if the watchman sees the sword coming and shall not blow the ram’s horn, and the people shall not be warned, and the sword comes and takes any being from among them, he is taken away in his crookedness, and his blood I require at the watchman’s hand.’  Ezekiel 33:6

I pray that you can see through his deceptive teachings to see the truth about our Messiah!

David
