Pope Francis I Antichrist Statements

This End Times Deception page will document the antichrist statements and actions of Pope Francis I, which clearly oppose the teachings of the Bible.

In the past, Popes have boldly made antichrist statements, such proclaiming to be God, to be Jesus Christ in the flesh, that Mary is the co-redeemer, that salvation is only through the Catholic Church, that Christians who are outside the Papal Church are not saved, and more.  You can read their statements on the Pope Quotes page.

But today Catholics and even Protestants dismiss those statements, as they say that Pope Francis I is not saying those things.

But Papal statements, known as Papal Bulls and ex cathedra statements, remain the stance of the Roman Catholic Church, until a Pope retracts it.

They are like a law in the U.S.  If a President enacts a law, it’s the rule of the land until another President gets the law overturned.

So if a previous Pope proclaimed it and the Roman Catholic Church hasn’t issued a retraction, then it is still their official stance.

This page will track statements from Pope Francis I, so that you can see that he is teaching concepts that are unbiblical and antichrist.

On 06-18-14, Pope Francis proclaimed that the world should pray to Mary, Our Lady, who they proclaim is the intercessor between us and Christ. The Bible declares that Jesus is our only intercessor, so praying to Mary is antichrist.

“Refugees from different countries and from different religious beliefs go through harm and pain that cannot easily be repaired. Let’s not forget that Jesus was a refugee. He had to flee to survive, along with St. Joseph and Mary. They went to Egypt. Jesus was a refugee. Let us pray to Our Lady, who understands the pain of refugees, so that She may be close to these brothers and sisters.”

In this statement, Pope Francis separated Jesus and God.  He said that Jesus is his teacher, but God is his Father, implying that Jesus is not God.

Jesus is my teacher and my pastor, but God, the Father, Abba, is the light and the Creator. This is my Being.  Do you think we are very far apart?” “La Repubblica” Sept. 11, 2013, Interview with Eigenio Scalfari

The Bible declares that Jesus created all things, “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 3:9

Pope Francis’ statement mirrors what Muslims believe, that Jesus was a good teacher, but not God.

Now look at what the Apostle John told us about antichrist, “Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.
1 John 2:22
