This Falling Away of 2 Thessalonians 2 shows how Satan replaced Messiah’s fulfillment of Passover as the Lamb of God, with the pagan-based Easter.
The Gospel story was told to the Israelites, through the seven Holy Feast days.
For 1,500 years the Israelites observed these Feast Days, looking forward to the time when the Promised Messiah would fulfill them.
Today, the followers of the Messiah, the commonwealth of Israel, should still observe the seven holy Feast days out of love and remembrance of His precise fulfillment of them.
Satan knows that the Father’s Holy Feast days are a special covenant with His people, so he created pagan holy-days which steal away worship from the Father.
Satan has been stealing worship away from the Father for a long time.
Satan setup his ‘Mystery Religion‘ in Babylon, which has now become the ‘Mystery Babylon‘ religion described in Revelation 17.
Read through the description of the Babylonian worship of Ishtar, to see how most Christians today are steeped in the Mystery Babylon religion, without knowing it.
Semiramis married her son Nimrod. He became a god-man to the people and Semiramis, his wife and mother, became the powerful Queen of ancient Babylon.
Nimrod was eventually killed by Shem, and his body was cut in pieces and sent to various parts of his kingdom, as a warning against idolatry.
Semiramus had all of the parts gathered, except for one part that could not be found, his male reproductive member.
So she fashioned one to take its place, which became Asherah poles, and Egyptian obelisks, like the one in the middle of St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican.
She told the people of Babylon that Nimrod had ascended to the sun and was now to be called “Baal”, the sun god.
Through her, Satan was creating a mystery religion, and she set herself up as the moon goddess.
She claimed to have been immaculately conceived, and that she came down from the moon in a giant golden moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River.
This supposedly happened after the first full moon, after the spring equinox.
Semiramis became known as ‘Ishtar‘ which is pronounced ‘Easter‘, and her moon egg became known as ‘Ishtar’s’ egg.
Clearly, the Easter Egg is a remembrance of Ishtar and has nothing to do with the Messiah’s death.
Ishtar soon became pregnant and claimed that it was the rays of the sun-god Baal that caused her to conceive.
She named her son Tammuz, the Sun God Child.
The sexual union of Nimrod the Sun god and Semiramus is recreated every Spring Equinox at the Vatican, as the rising sun hits the Egyptian obelisk and causes the shadow of the phallic symbol to penetrate the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica.
This symbolically results in the rebirth of Tammuz nine months later, on 12/25.
Tammuz, a great hunter, like his father Nimrod, was killed by a wild boar at age 40.
Ishtar started a tradition in which people would “weep for Tammuz” for forty days leading up to the time of his death, which is called by Roman Catholics, lent.
The House of Judah fell into the Babylonian Mystery religion of Sun worship and the women wept for Tammuz. “And He said to me, “Turn again, and you will see greater abominations that they are doing.” So He brought me to the door of the north gate of the LORD’s house; and to my dismay, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz.” Ezekiel 8:13-14
Every year, they observed Ishtar’s Day after the first full moon, which occurred after the Spring Equinox, our 3/21.
Today, Easter Day changes every year, because it too is observed on the SUNday after the first full moon, which occurs after the Spring Equinox.
Ishtar Day started with a sunrise service, as she is the goddess of the dawn, fertility, sun and spring; which after the long winter, symbolizes the resurrection of nature.
Christians start the Easter day with a sunrise service, which is a reenactment of the Babylonian Mystery religion.
The celebration involved the “Rites of Spring” near the Equinox of Venus, when pagans believed Ishtar, Queen of Heaven was impregnated by the sun.
They engaged in ritual sex acts, where virgins (representing Ishtar) were impregnated by the priests of Baal (the Sun god).
These babies would be born nine months later, around the winter solstice of 12/21, representing the rebirth of the Sun god.
This lines up with the pagan celebration of the rebirth of the sun god on 12/25. Obviously that is the worst day to celebrate Messiah’s birth.
They would then sacrifice those babies on the altar on Ishtar Day, and they would use the blood to dye the eggs.
Today, Christians dye eggs. It is done for the children, but it is a reenactment of the Babylonian Mystery religion.
To ensure a prosperous growing season, they rolled the eggs decorated with bright colors of Spring on their fields, hoping to imbue fertility. Those eggs were then hidden from “evil spirits” in rabbits nests, another symbol of fertility.
Today, Christians hide eggs and the children put them in Easter baskets. It is done for the children, but it is a reenactment of the Babylonian Mystery religion.
Since the bunny is a creature that procreates quickly, it symbolized the sexual act; the egg symbolized “birth” and “renewal”. Together, the Easter Bunny and Easter Egg symbolizes the sex act and its offspring, Semiramis and Tammuz.
Today, Christians celebrate Easter Day with rabbits and eggs, which have no connection to the Messiah and His resurrection.
Ishtar commanded that they kill a pig and eat it on Ishtar Day, to commemorate her son Tammuz, who was killed by a wild boar.
The traditional meal for Christians to eat on Easter Day is ham, which again follows the pattern of the Babylonian Mystery religion.
Easter was one of the biggest celebrations observed by pagans, long before the Roman Church instituted it.
Easter is not in the Bible.
The King James translator’s put ‘Easter’ in Acts 12:4, when it should read as ‘passover’.
In the Greek it is ‘pascha’ which means the Passover. Pascha appears 27 times in the KJ New Testament. 26 times they translated it as Passover and only in Acts 12:4, did they translate it as Easter. The New King James translators got it right. The Young’s Literal Bible got it right.
The Early Church continued to observe Passover.
The Bible tells us to observe Passover on Nisan 14, which can fall on any day of the week.
Paul told the Corinthians to keep the feast.
“Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” 1 Corinthians 5:7-8
The followers of Messiah in Asia kept the Passover, and the Bishops of Rome contended with them, to get them to change to the Roman spring resurrection festivals.
Polycarp, the 2nd-century Christian leader of the Church of Smyrna, refused. He was later martyred by the Roman Empire.
“These contentions had agitated the churches of Asia since the time of the Roman bishop Victor, who had persecuted the churches of Asia for following the ’14th-day heresy’ as they called it, in reference to the Passover. . . . The future Easter observance was to be rendered independent of Jewish calculation.” (Grace Amadon, Report of Committee, Part V, Sec. B., p. 17.)
Polycrates of Ephesus (130 – 196) was an Early Church bishop wrote to Victor of Rome:
“We observe the genuine day (Passover) neither adding to nor taking from… For in Asia great lights have fallen asleep, which will rise again in the day of the Lord’s appearing… Philip, one of the twelve, John, who rested upon the bosom of the Lord, Polycarp of Smyrna… All these observed the 14th day of the Passover, according to the Gospel, deviating in no respect but following the rule of faith… I am not threatened or intimidated, for those greater than I have said – ‘We ought to obey God rather than men.” (Historian Eusebius xxvi)
The Roman Church created the observance of Easter, not the Church of Messiah.
Victor, Bishop of Rome, proclaimed that Easter must be celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon following the vernal equinox, of their Roman calendar model.
This was done to ensure that Easter would never fall on the Biblical Passover.
This effectively caused ‘christians’ to be out of sync with the heavenly cycles on which the Father based the lunar calender.
The churches in Asia were unwilling to compromise observing the Holy Feast Days, so the Bishops of Rome had Emperor Constantine make a law forbidding them.
In 325 A.D., at the First Council of Nicaea, they established the date of Easter as the first Sunday after the full moon following the March equinox.
Prior to this, the Romans worshiped Cybele and her lover/son Attis, during this pagan festival. Cybele and Attis represent the Babylonian Ishtar and Nimrod.
Emperor Constantine wrote “… it appeared an unworthy thing that in the celebration of this most holy feast we should follow the practice of the Jews, who have impiously defiled their hands with enormous sin, and are, therefore, deservedly afflicted with blindness of soul. … Let us then have nothing in common with the detestable Jewish crowd; for we have received from our Saviour a different way.” (Eusebius’ Life of Constantine, Book 3 chapter 18)
In other words, he condemned the Holy Feast Days by saying that they were ‘Jewish.’ What he didn’t say is that the Messiah, from the tribe of Judah, is the one who is fulfilling the Feast Days.
The Church of Rome was teaching another Jesus other than the One that the Holy Scriptures testify about.
“It was the Catholic Church which made the law obliging us to keep Sunday holy. The church made this law long after the Bible was written. Hence said law is not in the Bible. The Catholic Church abolished not only the Sabbath, but all the other Jewish festivals.” (T. Enright, Bishop of St. Alphonsus Church, St. Louis, MO, June, 1905)
The Father hates for His people to have any association with Ashtoreth and Baal.
So the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord. They forgot the Lord their God, and served the Baals and Asherahs. Judges 3:7
Then the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the people of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines; and they forsook the LORD and did not serve Him. Judges 10:6
You can say that the Messiah knows your heart, but you are going through the same rituals as those who worship Ishtar and Baal.
Easter is steeped in the Babylonian Mysteries, the single most evil idolatrous system ever invented by Satan!
Easter was instituted by the Bishops of Rome, who formed the antichrist Roman Catholic Church. They are Mystery Babylon of Revelation 17.
When you follow the commands of Rome, you have their ‘mark’ on you. When you follow the commands of Yahuah in His Holy Scripture, you have His ‘mark’ on you.
Messiah has called His followers out of Mystery Babylon, from out of her influence, away from following her commands.
And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ” Matthew 15:8-9
Friend, the observance of Easter is a commandment of men, of the antichrist Roman Catholic church, which opposes the Holy Scriptures.
How should we observe Passover, Unleavened Bread and First Fruits today?
We don’t have to sacrifice a lamb and go through all of the ceremonial law demands. We should look back at how the Lamb of Elohim fulfilled it in exact detail.
I recommend reading Isaiah 53 which foretold what the spotless Lamb of Elohim would go through, to bear our sins.
Elohim commanded the sacrificial lamb to be inspected for several days, to verify it was blemish-free;
Yahshua was inspected by the Jewish leaders, Pilate and Herod, and no blemish was found.
We should inspect our life and pray for forgiveness for our sins, so that we are without sin as we remember the sacrifice of our Passover Lamb.
“Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.” 1 Corinthians 11:27-28
Messiah observed Passover communion with His disciples as a remembrance for them about His atoning death for their sins.
Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; Luke 22:15
We should also observe the Passover Communion. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 tells us how.
For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
Elohim commanded the sheep to be brought into the temple courtyard on the early morning of Passover;
We should remember our Messiah in the morning of Passover, as He was brought into the temple courtyard.
Elohim commanded the sheep to be bound at 9am, for preparation for their sacrifice;
We should remember our Messiah at the 3rd hour, at 9am, as He was bound to the cross.
We should remember Him as He hung on the cross for six grueling hours.
Here’s an interesting note about Hissop being used during Passover;
Hissop was used to put the blood of the Passover lamb on the door posts; it was used by Moses when He said this is the blood of the covenant; and it was used when they raised up wine vinegar to Messiah before He died.
Elohim commanded the priest to sacrifice the lamb at 3pm and say “It is finished”;
We should remember our Messiah at 9th hour, at 3pm, as He took His last breath and said “It is finished.”
We should remember Messiah on the 1st day of Unleavened Bread, as He was in the tomb all day.
We can focus on dying to self and the desire for this world.
Messiah rose again on the Feast of First Fruits.
We should remember our Messiah on the 3rd day, and celebrate that He is risen. He was the First Fruits, the promise that we too will rise to be with Him.

Next study: Christmas Replaced The Feast Of Tabernacles
Hi, David –
Although most of your information is correct, especially your Revelation Timeline Decoded site information, which I pass on to others (for nearly two years now), I must correct you on the KJV being inaccurate in using ‘Easter’ in Acts 12:4.
You see, the pagan celebration of Easter was already being observed during this period, and fell AFTER Passover.
Read Acts 12:3 for the clue –
12:3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
Passover had already passed, immediately followed by the days of unleavened bread. Herod was waiting until after their pagan Easter was over. If you look to any calendar, Gregorian and Julian, Easter always follows Passover by many days…sometimes a week or two.
In Herod’s time, Passover was already being replaced with Easter among Gentiles, as this was a transition period (Satan was and is working hard). Both were referred to as Passover as not to draw persecution, just as John did not openly write ‘Rome’ in Revelation. The Apostles knew this.
The KJV translators had the correct text and did translate properly. They knew this was not the Jewish Passover referred to in this verse, as it had already passed several days before. This is shown in early KJV footnotes as referring to the (Roman) so-called ‘Christian Passover’…which is not of true Christianity.
KJV has it right, and makes sure we know the distinction between the two.
Also, the NKJV is corrupt…stay away from it, my brother.
Aside from this, I applaud your efforts, much of it matching my own decades of study. I have been following your work…very good, young man!
It is sad that most giving Bible interpretation are false…and many people believe the lies.
As for you, keep up the good work!
God bless you, my brother… 🙂
Thank you for your comment Jeff! The Scriptures (ISR98) and the Aramaic-English New Testament, both render it as Passover. The Aramaic Paskha, the Hebrew Pesach and Greek Pascha, all point to Passover. The writer of Acts certainly knew the difference between Passover and Easter, and he used the word for Passover. Otherwise he would have chosen another word, to proclaim the different holiday.
Passover is the preparation day for the Feast of Unleavened Bread, so it is considered part of the celebration of the Feast of Unleavened Bread; when they clean out their houses to not have any leaven.
If you think that the KJ can’t be wrong because you believe that it is the inerrant word of the Father; then the bigger issue is that it removed the personal, covenant name of the Father; and replaced it with the titles of God and Lord. Given how many verses declare the importance of the Father’s name, that is a huge deal! Here’s a study about that. http://christianitybeliefs.org/the-falling-away/the-names-of-the-father-and-the-son/
Keep learning and growing in The Way! 🙂
Sorry, but no. Those two translations are incredibly corrupt, keeping you focused on the covenant name while hiding many changes. There is far too much to write concerning this (pages, in fact), and I simply don’t have the time (boarding another plane in an hour as I write this). However, in most of your studies, you are on the right track, so I trust that you are more than capable of doing some deep research and finding this out on your own.
Yes, the KJV has it translated from Pascha (Passover) also, but there is a difference. Paul often referred to one as the Jewish Passover to separate it from the Roman/Gentile ‘Christian Passover’. Luke knew this as well, and gave the hint in verse three, as I have pointed out. Most in that day knew this, and certainly the Apostles and followers of Christ. It was actually common knowledge at that time. The common Roman even knew this.
I know this because my area of expertise is the study of ancient history (customs, beliefs and records) and the true text vs corrupt and false text…many of which I have had in my own hands. This started for me over half a century ago, some years after I was called to serve the Lord. I can understand your insistence, as I was young once, but this can blind a person somewhat. Remember this in the future, as this is good advice.
Sorry to have waited so long to reply, but I am quite old and traveling the globe as I do keeps me busy and really takes it out of me. Ah, to be young again…
But, the Lord always puts me where he needs me to be.
Have to go now.
May God bless you and yours… 🙂
David, I thought of something, so before they make go to ‘Airplane Mode’, I want to be clear in something. You are correct in knowing that Easter is pagan and is not the true Passover.
I in no way want you to think that I think otherwise. We are not to observe Easter, and certainly not Christmas as well.
Till we meet on here here again…be blessed, David
Jeff, the bottom line is that those who are in a covenant relationship with the Father through the Son, should be observing Passover not Easter. Easter is full of fertility goddess symbols, such as rabbits and eggs.
Messiah died on Passover, so we should revere that day and remember how He atoned for our sins with His shed blood that ratified the everlasting covenant.
We should revere all seven of the Father’s Holy Feast Days, as Messiah is fulfilling them to redeem His set-apart people. And Messiah is not done fulfilling them, as the fall Feast of Trumpets represents His return; the Feast of Atonement, His judgement; and the Feast of Tabernacles, His marriage to His bride, the saints.
We are to follow the true faith of Scripture, not man-made holidays which are based on pagan beliefs.
May Elohim bless you and yours,
David
Excellent! Loved everything I read!
The Christian Church needs to know this TRUTH.
Matt 18:19
I agree with what you penned.
Praise the God of Israel
Pamela
Thank you for your comment Pamela! I’m blessed to know that the studies helped you! Praise our Father in heaven! David
Awesome teaching. Thank you so much! I have left all the pagan holidays but now feel at a loss concerning how to properly celebrate the feast. The sources I went to seem to be out of balance. Any sites you recommend?
Thank you for your comment Brian! That’s great that you’ve left manmade holidays! I created a new study called The True Gospel Story Decoded, which shows how Messiah is fulfilling His Father’s seven Holy Feast Days to redeem the set-apart saints.
