Christmas Replaces The Father’s Feast Of Tabernacles

This Falling Away of 2 Thessalonians 2 shows that 12/25 is the worst day to celebrate the Messiah’s birth.

Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, the Birthday of the Unconquered Sun, is a 4300 year old celebration marking the annual death and re-birth of the Sun god, Marduk, Sin, Shamash etc., on Dec. 25. Romans called the week long event Saturnalia.

They believe that the sun dies on the winter solstice, which occurs on 12/21, when the Sun is furthest away from the Earth and the days are the shortest.

They believe that the Sun is dead for 3 days, and its rebirth is celebrated on the 25th.

The birthday of the Babylonian sun god of Tammuz, the Egyptian sun god Ra, the Greek sun god Helios, and the Roman sun god Mithra, are all celebrated on 12/25.

This is the one day of the year that Christians should not chose to celebrate the birth of their Messiah.

Bible scholars agree that Christ was born in the Fall.

Our Messiah was born during the Feast of Tabernacles, which corresponds to the September – October time frame of our present calendar.

Celebrating His birth on 12/25 removes part of the Father’s redemption story of mankind, as our Messiah dwelt amongst us.

And the Word became flesh, and did tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, glory as of an only begotten of a father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

At the end of the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, the Temple was gloriously illuminated by many candles.

During the Feast of Tabernacles, Messiah related this to Himself, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12).

The seventh day became known as Hoshana Rabba, “the Great Day.” The ceremony was to thank God for His bounty and to ask Him to provide rain for the crops in the coming year.

During the Feast of Tabernacles, Messiah related this to Himself, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:37-38).

So how did 12/25 get selected as the Messiah’s birthday?

Prior to this, December 25th had been the Roman feast of Sol Invictus (open unconquered Sun), where they celebrated Sun worship.

In 350 A.D. Pope Julius I declared December 25 the official date of Christmas.

By 529 A.D., after Christianity had become the official state religion of the Roman Empire, Emperor Justinian made Christmas a civic holiday.

The “Christianity” of the Roman Empire was the foundation of the Roman Catholic Church, which still worships the pagan gods of Rome; including the sun god, as evidenced by the Egyptian Obelisk in the middle of St. Peter’s Square, which represents Ra, the sun god.

Do you believe that our Messiah is honored by His followers celebrating His birth on a pagan holiday?

He said, “But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matt. 15:9).

He said, “Full well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition.” (Mark 7:9).

Christmas is not a command of God—it is a tradition of men. And every year, throughout the world, on December 25th, Christians do just that, they keep a vain tradition of pagan Rome!

Worship the Father in spirit and truth: for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” John 4:23

Worshiping on a pagan holy day is not worshiping the Father in truth, and it is from the spirit of the evil one, to remove praise from the Father.

Jeremiah clearly describes the pagan customs of people decorating trees.

“Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen…the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree but speak not…Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil neither also is it in them to do good” Jeremiah 10:2-5

Though you’re not thinking pagan thoughts while setting up and decorating your Christmas tree, you are carrying out a pagan tradition, of which the Father cannot be pleased.

The Birth of Yahusha Messiah.

Since Yahusha was conceived six months after John the Baptist, and we have established a likely date for John’s birth, we need only move six months farther down the Jewish calendar to arrive at a likely date for the birth of Yahusha .

From the 15th day of the 1st month, Nisan, we go to the 15th day of the 7th month, Tishri. And what do we find on that date? It is the festival of Tabernacles!

The 15th day of Tishri begins the third and last festival of the year to which all the men of Israel were to gather in Jerusalem for Temple services. (Lev 23:34)

Isaiah 7:14 ““Therefore יהוה Himself gives you a sign: Look, the maiden conceives and gives birth to a Son, and shall call His Name Immanu’ĕl” 1. Footnote: Ěl with us.”

Immanuel means “Elohim with us“. The Son of Elohim had come to dwell with, or tabernacle on earth with His people.

John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent(1) among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favour and truth.” Footnote: 1. An indication that His birth was during the Festival of Booths. which is in the fall.

The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), occurs five days after the Day of Atonement, and is a festival of rejoicing and celebration of deliverance from slavery in Egypt (Leviticus 23:42-43).

Luke 2:7-11 “And she gave birth to her first-born Son, and wrapped Him up, and laid Him down in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in a lodging place. And in the same country there were shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And look, a messenger of יהוה Yahuah stood before them, and the esteem of יהוה Yahuah shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. And the messenger said to them, “Do not be afraid, for look, I bring you good news of great joy which shall be to all people. Because there was born to you today in the city of Dawiḏ a Saviour, who is Messiah, the Master. “

Why was there no room at the inn? Bethlehem is only about 5 miles from Jerusalem, and all the men of Israel had come to attend the festival of Tabernacles as required by the law of Moses. Every room for miles around Jerusalem would have been already taken by pilgrims, so all that Mary and Joseph could find for shelter was a stable.

During Tabernacles, everyone was to live in temporary booths (Sukkot), as a memorial to Israel’s pilgrimage out of Egypt – Lev. 23:42-43. The birth of the Savior, in what amounted to a temporary dwelling rather than a house, signaled the coming deliverance of Elohim’s people from slavery to sin, and their departing for the promised land, which is symbolized by Tabernacles.

Also of note is the fact that the Feast of Tabernacles is an eight day feast (Lev 23:36, 39). Why eight days? It may be because an infant was dedicated to Elohim by performing circumcision on the eighth day after birth:

Luke 2:21 “And when eight days were completed for Him to be circumcised, His Name was called יהושע Yahusha, the Name given by the messenger before He was conceived in the womb.

So as infant, Messiah would have been circumcised on the eighth and last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, a Sabbath day.

  1. Hi David
I use to believe the Messiah was born on the Feast of Tabernacles – but it makes more since he was born during the Feast of Trumpets. God is the one who created the constellation, It’s a amazing if you go by the Hebrew calendar God’s salvation plan is in the stars. The first month is the virgin (Virgo) and the last is the lion (Leo) If you go back 9 months from the Virgo sign it would be in December which would put you during the time of Feast of Lights Hanukkah which is probably the time that the Holy Spirit came on Mary. Isn’t it fitting that the Light of World would come into the womb of Mary during the Feast of Lights
From the proper astronomical interpretation of Revelation 12:1-6 (see previous Post: Jesus’ Birth – Astrological/Zodiacal References in Scripture), the only day in 3 BC which meets the astronomical confluences discussed is September 11, 3 BC, during the period of sunset to moonset, 6:18 pm to 7:39 pm. The close proximity of the positions of the sun and the moon as described in Revelation indicate a new moon time frame, which is exactly the situation which exists on the first day of a Jewish lunar month, as on Tishri 1, the Feast of Trumpets. Jesus must have been born on the Feast of Trumpets, as no other day of the year in 3 BC could astronomically meet the specific requirements detailed in Revelation.
Here is one of the many articles below that are on the internet. I thought you might fine it very interesting, also I love you teaching on all the end time deception going on. It’s truly amazing how many people follow the teachings of men and twist scriptures to promote preterism and pre rapture of the church false doctrine.
