In this context, they are the four Turkish sultans who were released to attack the Eastern Roman Empire<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;<i>who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year&#8221;<\/i><\/strong> When you apply the \u201cday for a year principle\u201d of prophecy, 1 year = 360 years, 1 month = 30 years,<br \/>\n1 day = 1 year, an hour = approx 2 months, for a total of just over 391 years.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Turkish_people\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-314\" style=\"margin-left: 7px; margin-right: 7px;\" title=\"Turks Ottoman Empire Map of Conquests\" src=\"http:\/\/christianitybeliefs.org\/revelation-fuel-project-guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/turks-conquests-map.gif\" alt=\"turks-conquests-map\" width=\"305\" height=\"287\" \/><\/a>In 1062 A.D., the Turks, also known as the Ottoman Empire, moved out of the Euphrates Valley to conquer.<\/p>\n<p>For 391 years they conquered the remaining third part of the territory which belonged to Pagan Rome.<\/p>\n<p>In 1453 A.D. they captured the prized capital city of Constantinople, the headquarters of the Eastern Roman Empire.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a perfect fulfillment of the time period that John gave us.<\/p>\n<p>The third part of men, or the Roman empire then represented by the Constantinople monarchy, is to be slain, and not merely tormented.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Recall that during the <a title=\"5th Trumpet of Revelation 9\" href=\"http:\/\/christianitybeliefs.org\/islam-in-bible-prophecy\/the-fifth-trumpet-of-revelation-islam-muslims\/\">5th Trumpet of Revelation 9<\/a> the Muslims attacked Constantinople, but their attempts to overtake it failed, as the wall was impregnable, so they merely tormented the people.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Revelation 9:16, \u201c<em>Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them<\/em>.\u201d<b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Instead of being translated as &#8220;<em>two hundred million<\/em>&#8220;, the language should read &#8220;<em>two myriads of myriads<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A myriad means &#8220;<em>ten thousand<\/em>&#8220;, so John&#8217;s vision represented groups of ten thousand.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Turks fulfilled this, as they organized their armies in units of ten thousand.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Revelation 9:17, \u201c<em>And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em><b>&#8220;They had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow<\/b><\/em><b>&#8220;<\/b> &#8211; The Turks uniforms were red, blue and yellow.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-124 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/christianitybeliefs.org\/islam-in-bible-prophecy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/6th-trumpet-cannon.jpg\" alt=\"The sixth Trumpet of Revelation 9 represents the Turks of the Euphrates River being released to attack the Eastern Roman Empire at Constantinople.\" width=\"600\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/christianitybeliefs.org\/islam-in-bible-prophecy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/6th-trumpet-cannon.jpg 600w, https:\/\/christianitybeliefs.org\/islam-in-bible-prophecy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/6th-trumpet-cannon-300x167.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><b><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-316\" style=\"margin-left: 14px; margin-right: 14px;\" title=\"Ottoman Empire Fez Hats\" src=\"http:\/\/christianitybeliefs.org\/revelation-fuel-project-guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/ottomon-fez-hats.jpg\" alt=\"Ottoman Empire Fez Hats\" width=\"161\" height=\"147\" \/><\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><b>&#8220;The heads of horses were like the heads like lions&#8221;<\/b><\/em><br \/>\nAlp Arsion, their leader, was known as the \u201c<em>Valiant Lion<\/em>\u201c, and many others had names like <em>the brace lion<\/em>, <em>the heroic lion<\/em>, etc.<\/p>\n<p>They were known for their ferocity, even more than the Arabs.<\/p>\n<p>The Turkish tribes carried a horse-like tail, instead of banners, as they rode into battle.<\/p>\n<p>They wore them on their Fez\u2019s (hats), as seen above. The more horse tails, the more important you were.<\/p>\n<p>Revelation 9:18-19, \u201c<em>By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed\u2013by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm<\/em>.\u201d<b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p>When it says &#8220;<em>a third of mankind<\/em>&#8221; its referring to a third of the Roman Empire, and these attacks by the Turks came against the Eastern part of the Roman Empire, based in Constantinople.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Constantinople was almost an impregnable fortress because of her strong walls.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em><b>&#8220;Fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths&#8221; <\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fall_of_Constantinople\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-321\" style=\"margin: 7px 14px;\" title=\"Ottoman Empire Cannon Used To Capture Constantinople\" src=\"http:\/\/christianitybeliefs.org\/revelation-fuel-project-guide\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/ottoman-empire-cannon.jpg\" alt=\"Ottoman Empire Cannon Used To Capture Constantinople\" width=\"225\" height=\"126\" \/><\/a>The Turks used gunpowder and cannons in warfare, to knock down troops and city walls.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a picture of the Dardanelles Gun, which was cast in 1464 A.D. and based on the Orban bombard that was used for the Ottoman besiegers of Constantinople in 1453.<\/p>\n<p>So the \u201c<em>fire, smoke, brimstone<\/em>\u201d is a manifest allusion to artillery and gunpowder; which were the main engines used by the Turks.<\/p>\n<p><em><b>&#8220;For their power is in their mouth and in their tails&#8221;<\/b><\/em> &#8211; The cannons shot forth with fire and smoke, to take down cavalry, and battle the walls of fortified cities.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>They lit the fuse at the <em>tail<\/em> of the cannon, to ignite the gunpowder, which is the <em>power<\/em> which propelled the huge balls from the <em>mouth<\/em> of the cannon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>They surrounded Constantinople and by cannon fire the city fell.
