This End Times Deceptions Bible study<\/a> focuses on the phrases<\/strong> that are used in prophecy timeline verses. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Many people make the mistake of taking prophetic time terms literally<\/em>, which is not always the case.<\/p>\n

Others say that in prophecy, 1 day always equals 1 year, based on Ezekiel 4:6, “I have appointed thee each day for a year<\/em>“; and Numbers 14:34, “After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

But that assumption has led people like the Seventh Day Adventists to make a serious mistake regarding the 2,300 days in Daniel 8:24, which caused them to proclaim that Jesus would return in 1844 A.D.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Another problem is that because the time phrases seem similar, people think that they represent the same time period.<\/p>\n

Many people believe that the phrases “forty-two months<\/em>” and “time, times, and half a time” and “one thousand two hundred and sixty days,<\/em>”\u00a0<\/em> all represent the same 3 1\/2 year period of Great Tribulation at the end of time; but that is not true.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So let’s look at the scripture with fresh eyes to see what it is telling us.<\/p>\n

Prophecies with the terms “months” or “weeks” are day=year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 70 weeks prophecy of Daniel 9<\/a>\u00a0foretold a period of 490 years (70 x 7), which was fulfilled from 457 B.C. – 34 A.D.<\/p>\n

Daniel 9:24<\/a>, “Seventy weeks<\/span> are determined<\/em><\/span> For your people and for your holy city.<\/em>“<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The 5th Trumpet of Revelation<\/a> foretold a period of 150 years (5 x 30), which was fulfilled from 612 – 762 A.D<\/p>\n

Revelation 9:10, “They have tails like scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men for<\/em> five months<\/span>.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The 6th Trumpet of Revelation<\/a>\u00a0foretold a period of 391 years (prepared for the hour and day and month and year, <\/em>1 + 30 + 360 = 391), which was fulfilled from 1062 – 1453 A.D<\/p>\n

Revelation 9:15, “And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year<\/span>, were released, so that they would kill a third of mankind<\/em>.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The antichrist Roman Catholic Church<\/a> reigned for 1,260 years from 538\u00a0 -1798 A.D.<\/p>\n

Revelation 13:5, “And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months<\/span><\/em>.<\/span>“<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Prophecies with the phrase <\/strong>“time, times, and half a time” are day=day.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Roman army surrounded Jerusalem for 1,260 days from 66 – 70 A.D.<\/p>\n

Daniel 12:7, “Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half <\/span>a time<\/span>; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished<\/em>.<\/span>“<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Prophecies <\/strong>with the phrase <\/strong><\/strong>“time, AND times, and half a time” are day=year.<\/strong>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Both of these prophecies are about the Roman Catholic Church who reigned for 1,260 years from 538\u00a0 -1798 A.D.<\/p>\n

Daniel 7:25, “..Then the saints shall be given into his hand<\/span> <\/em>For a time and times and half a time<\/span><\/em>.<\/span>“<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Revelation 12:14, “But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time<\/span>, from the presence of the serpent<\/em>.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Prophecies with <\/strong>the number of days are day=day.<\/strong>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Antiochus Epiphanes persecution of the Jews began in 171 B.C. and the temple was cleansed on December 25, 165 B.C., which is 2,300 days.<\/p>\n

Daniel 8:14, “And he said to me, “For two thousand three hundred days<\/span>; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.”‘<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When the early Church escaped Jerusalem and hid in the mountains from 66 – 70 A.D<\/p>\n

Revelation 12:6, “Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days<\/span>.<\/em>“<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

1,290 days between when first division of Roman army appeared, until the second division flooded the city and stopped the sacrifice.<\/p>\n

Daniel 12:11 “From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days<\/span>.<\/em>“<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jerusalem was under attack by the Roman army for 45 days.<\/p>\n

Daniel 12:12 “How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335 days<\/span>!<\/em>“<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Other prophecies that are day=year<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Two Witnesses, the Word of God<\/em> and the Church of Christ,<\/em> did not oppose the Papal Church, as if dead, for 3 1\/2 years, from 1514 – 1517 A.D.<\/p>\n

Revelation 11:9, “Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three<\/span>-and-a-half days<\/span>, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves<\/em>.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
