The Falling Away Of 2 Thessalonians 2 Bible Study

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Paul told us in 2 Thessalonians 2 that there would be a ‘falling away’ from truth, before the ‘man of sin,’ the ‘son of perdition’ arrived.

Most Christians apply the ‘falling away‘ to the end times, and they believe that it won’t happen to them.

What if I told you that the ‘falling away‘ occurred in the 4th century,
and the result of it probably shapes your beliefs today?

Before the man of sin, the son of perdition, the office of the Popes of Rome, came to power in 538 A.D., the Bishops were already at work in the Roman Empire.

Today the Roman Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church and the Protestant Churches, express their faith in what is called The Nicene Creed.

At the first council at Nicaea in 325 A.D, Roman Emperor Constantine began to create the religion of ‘Christianity’, based on their Roman pagan worship rituals.

Here is a brief explanation of the changes that Emperor Constantine and the Bishops of Rome made, which oppose the Holy Scriptures.

They serve to steal glory and honor away from the Father, and they cause the followers of the Messiah to be out of covenant with Him.

You will see how today’s Christian churches are still following these changes today, and so they are steeped in the Babylonian religion without knowing it.

They banned people from observing the seven Holy Feast Days, which our Messiah is fulfilling to redeem us, which His followers should still observe. The Feast of Trumpets has not been fulfilled yet and it represents His return, so it’s important to know.

And they created the pagan-based holidays of Easter and Christmas, to replace them.

They banned the followers of Christ from observing the 7th day Sabbath rest, which marks us as followers of the Messiah.

And they created The Lord’s Day of worship on SUNday, which honors the god “ba’al”.

They changed the personal Hebrew name of the Father from Yahuah,

to the generic ‘god’, as there are many impersonal, false gods.

Friend, you can discount that list and say that God knows your heart; but the Scriptures warn us:

You must not worship Yahuah your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things Yahuah hates.” Deuteronomy 12:31

Keep in mind our Messiah’s words in Matthew 7:21-23

Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!

The moral law of the Torah, the commandments to observe the Holy Feast Days and 7th Day Sabbath, were not nailed to the cross and eliminated, as so many people teach.

The ceremonial law was fulfilled by our Messiah, who is fulfilling the Holy Feast Days in exacting detail, so we don’t have to observe the ceremonial part of the law, meaning we don’t have to sacrifice a lamb on Passover anymore.

The written record of your transgressions, which testifies against you and condemns you, was nailed to the cross of Calvary.

We are saved by grace, but we demonstrate our love of the Father, by obeying the commandments of His Law, His Torah.

Does the Messiah really know us:

If we call Him the wrong name?

If we don’t celebrate the Holy Feast Days, which He is fulfilling for your redemption?

If we don’t rest in Him on His perpetual Holy 7th day Sabbath, which marks our covenant with Him?

Am I saying that one has to know and observe those things to be saved?

No, but why would a follower of Messiah not want to know the Hebrew name that His parents and disciples called Him?

Why would a follower of Messiah not want to know about the Father’s seven divine appointments, which Messiah is fulfilling to redeem us?

Why would a follower of Messiah not want to know about the fall Feast Day which represents the harvest and Messiah’s return for His bride?

Here’s a recording of a webinar where we discussed the fulfillment of the Falling Away and the Son of Perdition of 2 Thessalonians 2. Note: Use the full-screen option to be able to read the text on the screen better.

Friend, I contend that most Christians today are following the false teachings of the Roman Church, and the Father can’t be pleased with their form of worship.

I pray that you will not dismiss that statement, but rather would be like the Bereans and search out the Scriptural truth of the matter.

We do not want the teachings of the Antichrist Roman Catholic Church to mark our beliefs or actions.

Friend, I pray that the Spirit of Truth will grant you eye salve to see that many Christians are steeped in the religion of the Harlot Church, Mystery Babylon.

Your Messiah said “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4

David, I disagree on the following point. Passover has nothing to do with the sacrificial system of offerings. Although Yahusha did die for our sins and was referred to as “the lamb slain” and “our Passover lamb,” the Passover cannot be thought of as a sin offering. It in no way resembles the sin offering for the priest or the ordinary person. Nor does it resemble the guilt or peace offering or the grain offering. In fact the sin offering was also offered on the day of Pesach or Passover. The Passover command is a forever command. The Passover lamb is killed each year for a meal. Nothing more ..just as the Father commanded us to do. It is also another mark of Yahuah’s. It’s a mark we as His people need to have as we rehearse this feast each year. I did not provide scripture to back up what I am saying because I am about to go out the door. Please be like the Bereans and search it out for yourself and for the sake of your followers. Thanks for some good info and for using the correct names. Gail

Thank you for your comment Peter! I pray that the Ruach gives eye salve to the visitors of the websites, so that they can see the truth and proclaim it to the world!

Yes, we are watching Revelation prophecy be fulfilled, so that we can understand the context of Messiah’s return! Here is a summary study that shows you what has been fulfilled, where we are at on the fulfillment timeline, and what will happen next as we await Messiah’s return.

Grace, peace and love to you!

hello, i am trying to understand your teaching, i was brought here by an article you wrote saying jonathan kleck is a false teacher. but i must speak what is on my mind from what i have read here (falling away) and there (article about jonathan). I don’t know more than the spirit has shown me, which is a lot (i say humble). but i must point out.
Romans 10 is a great read, but specifically,
Romans 10:4 for christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believes.
Another great read is Galatians 5
Galatians 5:14 for all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
i could go on and on, but i will sum it up.
old testament, new testament
the law grace
matthew 22:
36, master, which is the great Commandment in the law?
37, Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the lord God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38, this is the first and great Commandment
39 and the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy self.
40, on these two Commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

so this is not a matter of keeping the law, in fact christ healed on the sabbath to make that point. its about love for God and for each other, doing it because we know it is the right (righteousness) thing to do, or because we want to, or love that person enough to do it. to go the extra mile, as in the good samaritan.
Not because someone said “DO IT”! or else.
No, where would the free will be?
this is about the sheeps and the goats, the believers and the non believers, the law or grace. God gave us a way home, believe and receive, what comes after should be a new man as it is written, not because we are working our way to heaven, but because we love to do what is good.

tim April 26, 2017 at 6:15 pm

i must add, that by keeping the two great commandments we are fulfilling the law, if i love you i can’t kill you or covet you, or steal from you right!
So it is my understanding that if you do not accept christ, then you remain under the law, because you did not accept the gift that was given freely. and the law remains for those still under it.
but we are no longer under the law after passing to grace.
Romans 6
14: for sin shall not have dominion over you, for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

MMK May 13, 2017 at 8:11 am

Hi Tim,
You are not under any law until you break the law. Then you feel what it is to be under the power of the law when you are “prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law”.
When we ‘abide in Christ’ we are not under the law because as Christ could boldly declare “who of you convicts me of sin” the same can be said by those who are in Christ as they cannot sin (sin is breaking the law) while they remain in Christ. As soon as we take our eyes off Christ, we begin to sink into sin (law breaking) and will continue to sink lower and lower unless we have enough sense to look to the Lamb of God crying ‘Lord save me’.
None other than Gabriel put it simply “He will be called Jesus for he will save his people from their sins.”
The entire atonement was because of transgression. Shall we continue in sin (transgression) that grace may abound? God forbid! How can we remain in sin after seeing the price paid for our salvation?
The essence of the Gospel is the teaching that those who accept God’s remedy for sin can escape “the power of Satan”, that is, rebellion against the government of God. What government is there without law? The law against worshiping idols is not an issue to one who loves the created. They hardly need that law as they have no such inclination. Therefore, ‘love is the fulfillment of the law’.

Correction: The law against worshiping idols is not an issue to one who loves the CREATOR.

I cannot read the you tube thing and I don’t like the banter and laughing going on while I am trying to read the infp on the theologians of the early centuries. I cannot scroll down to read anything and I cannot enlarge the text or minimize the screen or exit without using ESC button on my computer.
It’s really annoying as I was interested in what Cyril of Jerusalem had to say about the pope. Please fix these things!

David January 4, 2018 at 3:10 am

The youtube videos is from a conference call. Sorry for the background noise. I don’t think that we talked about Cyril of Jerusalem though. Not sure what you’re referring to.

The evidence for the name 2 websites are not there or not working

David January 4, 2018 at 3:08 am

Cheryl, I clicked on all of the links to the websites, and they worked for me. Can you copy and paste the url links to the ones that don’t work for you?
