Steven Ben-DeNoon Misunderstands Prophecy Fulfillment

Steven Ben-Nun, who used to be called Steven Ben-DeNoon, of Israeli News Live; seems authoritative with all of his information and use of Bible verses, but I would steer clear of him, as he is teaching false prophecy fulfillment explanations.

Christians seem to blindly trust him because he’s ‘Jewish,’ but we have to compare what he teaches to the Word of God and the true historical fulfillment of prophecy.

In his Seven Seals of Revelation video on 04-11-20, he applies the seals of Revelation to the end times, which is  the wrong perspective.

The seal judgments were against the pagan Roman Empire, as Satan had used the Emperors to try to wipe out Messiah’s assembly of saints. They have nothing to do with the end times.

This Revelation Fulfillment Summary study gives you the timeline of the fulfillment of the seals, trumpets, and bowls; most of which have already been fulfilled during the last 1,900 years.

In his The Two Witnesses: Jesus Untold Story of Who They Are video on 12-14-18, Steven Ben-DeNoon proclaims that the Two Witnesses of Revelation are Moses and Elijah.

That is not even close to the truth!

Messiah told us that the SCRIPTURES TESTIFY about Him. Messiah told us that His SAINTS would be His WITNESSES. The Two Witnesses are not just two men, but they are the Scriptures and the Saints, who testify the true Gospel, as opposed to Catholicism; and they testified against the antichrist beast Popes during their 1,260 year reign of power from 538-1798.

Read Revelation 11 – Two Witnesses

In his Shabbat LIVE: Who Really is the Antichrist? video on 06-08-18, Steven Ben-DeNoon debates the options of a supposed one-man antichrist.

The video description says ‘Vatican sends Cardinal to Bilderberg meeting and many still wonder where the Antichrist comes from tonight we examine these issues.’

The truth is that the office of the papacy, the Popes of Rome, fulfill Bible prophecy as the antichrist beast of Revelation.  It’s not just one man, but an office, just like the King of England or the President of the United States; and it has been fulfilled by many popes since the 6th century.

Steven Ben-Denoon is misleading his YouTube subscribers with his false prophecy fulfillment explanation.

In his Jewish Man Reveals Identity of the Antichrist video, Steven Ben-DeNoon gives a false explanation of the fulfillment of Daniel 11.

He proclaimed, “It’s the first time that we are aware that the identity of what is know to be the antichrist, or for Jewish people the ‘prince that shall come in Daniel’s prophecy, that we can literally discover and know who he really is.”

Seriously?!?  The Protestant Reformers and the great theologians of the 16th-20th centuries, who wrote whole Bible commentaries; all proclaimed that the office of the Papacy, the Popes of Rome, are the antichrist.  All of them, not just Pope Francis!

He wrongly assigned the ‘people of the prince’ of Daniel 9 to a supposed end-times antichrist.

The ‘people of the prince’ of Daniel 9 was the Roman army of Prince Titus, who were used to desolate the temple, city and Jews; fulfilling the prophecy in Daniel 9.  It is not about the end times!!!  Read The People Of The Prince Of Daniel 9

He proclaimed, “Recently such a scripture from Daniel 11 was fulfilled and the world went right past it. This fulfillment revealed the identity of the Antichrist.”

When Messiah said “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:“:, He was pointing back to Daniel 9, not Daniel 11, so the whole premise of this lesson is false!

The abomination of Desolation was the appearance of the Roman army in 66 A.D., which was the sign that the city, temple and Jews, were close to being destroyed.  Read The Abomination Of Desolation

He signed off with “I’m Stephen Ben DeNoon, with Israeli News Live, your prophetic moment.

You don’t get to proclaim that you’re not a prophet, when you sit there and provide explanations for prophecy fulfillment!  That is disingenuous!

Daniel 11 is not about the end times!!!  It gives the continuous historical narrative of events of the kingdoms of Medo-Persia, Greece and Antiochus Epiphanes, and then Rome.

Alexander the Great of Greece rose up and ruled with great dominion.

The Seleucids (kings of Syria, “the north”) and the Ptolemies (kings of Egypt, “the south”) had incessant wars.

Antiochus Epiphanes, leader of the Seleucids, the vile person, surrounded Jerusalem with his armies (the abomination of desolation) and killed 10’s of thousands of Jews. They defiled the sanctuary and caused the daily sacrifice to be taken away for 2,300 days (Daniel 8:14). His persecution of the Jews began in 171 B.C. and the temple was cleansed on December 25, 165 B.C., which is 2,300 days.

The Maccabean uprisings delivered the Jews in the reign of Antiochus, and faithfully served their people as rulers and priests for 130 years.

Roman King Herod exalted himself above all gods (leaders).  To protect his kingdom, he decreed for the slaughter of the babes of Bethlehem, in an attempt to kill baby Jesus.

Caesar Augustus conquered many countries such as Egypt, and took power of their treasures.

The Jewish Maccabean Revolt was a conflict, lasting from 167 to 160 BC, between a Judean rebel group known as the Maccabees and the Seleucid Empire.

The Seleucid Empire was a Hellenistic state ruled by the Seleucid dynasty founded by Seleucus I Nicator following the division of the empire created by Alexander the Great.

So once again, the prophecy fulfillment explanations from Steven Ben-DeNoon are false, and misleading believers.

In his Are The Two Witnesses Here? video, which was posted on 08-23-15, Stephen gives a futuristic explanation of the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11.

The Two Witnesses are the Old and New Testament (the olive trees) which provided oil to the Church of Messiah during the church eras of Thyatira and Sardis (the two lampstands). They witnessed against the Popes of Rome during their 1,260 year reign of power from 538-1798 A.D.

The Roman Catholic Church worked so hard during the Dark Ages, at eliminating the saints and burning the Scriptures, that in 1514 A.D., the papal church pronounced them as dead.

And there was silence, with no opposition to Rome for 3 1/2 years.  All the while Messiah was having Martin Luther, a Catholic Monk, read the Scriptures to measure what the Popes of Rome taught against the Scriptures (the rod, the rule). And he found that they are an apostate church, the Harlot church of Revelation 17.

Messiah’s message to the Church of Sardis was that they were dead… but then He told them to take action, to come alive again.  He was proclaiming that they were dead spiritually.  And they were after being persecuted so violently by the Popes of Rome.

And exactly 3 1/2 years after the witnesses were proclaimed as dead, Martin Luther posted his 95 Thesis on the door of the Church of Wittenburg, which sparked the Protestant Reformation, which brought the true Church back to life.

And this led to the Scriptures being translated and with the advent of the printing press, being spread around the world in books (the little book of Revelation 10). And the witnesses took back control of the European nations which the Popes had controlled.

Here is the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11 study which explain this in more detail.

So don’t listen to false teachers like Steven Ben DeNoon who don’t understand the fulfillment of prophecy, and thereby deceive you.

In his 70th Week Of Daniel Only Months Away! video which was published on Oct 23, 2013… Oops!  Steven said “When they make a covenant, to create a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine, that’s where your seven year tribulation begins.”

The concept of a future 70th week of Daniel is a deception of the enemy.

The 70th week of Daniel was fulfilled on time, after the 69th week, from 27-34 A.D., when Messiah and His disciples preached the New Covenant to the Jews for seven years.  They confirmed that He was the promised Messiah who ratified the covenant made with Abraham, with His blood as the Passover Lamb.

.

In his ‘Pope Francis US Visit Sets Prophetic Stage’ video, Steven says that the Revelations Chapter 6 Horse Riders are set in Motion!

His wife told him that the first horse, the white horse of Revelation, is now riding. He said that the antichrist Pope is switching the crown of Revelation 6:2 from America to Russia.

The white horse represents the conquering Roman Empire, from 96 – 180 A.D., as it was a time of its greatest expansion and their military conquests were celebrated by riding white horses in their victory parades. Cretan Roman Emperors Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius and Marcus Aurelius, each had a bow as their symbol. The crown represents the laurel wreathes of victory that were worn by the Caesars after their armies had won a military battle.

He says that Russia is the new military superpower of the Pope, but the word of God declares that it is Washington D.C., which will be the military power of the One World Government.

Revelation 16 describes a great earthquake, which symbolizes political upheaval, in this case the biggest one of all, the formation of the One World Government.  The great city of Rome, representing the Jesuits of Rome, will be split three-ways.  The religion part is already based in the city-state of Vatican City; the financial part is already based in the city-state of London; and the military part is already based in the city-state of Washington D.C.

He says that the Lord shows him that Russia, is the Red army, which will fulfill the red horse in the second seal of Revelation 6.

The Red horse represents a bloody time in the Roman Empire from 185-284 A.D., as it went into a phase of revolution and civil war for 90 years, during which there were 32 emperors and 27 contenders for the throne.

To his credit, he says the Pope is the antichrist, which is correct; but he is only pointing to the current Pope; not the office of the Papacy, which is the antichrist sea beast of Revelation 13.

He applies the fulfillment of the sea beast to the present time, not the past. He asks who is able to war with the beast?

The answer is that the sea beast reigned for 1,260 years, 538-1798 A.D., when the Popes of Rome ruled over the kings of the world, and nobody was able to make war with the Popes during this time.

He says that the Pope will blaspheme against God.

This has already been fulfilled during their 1,260 reign, when they proclaimed to be God and to forgive sins, which are the two items by which Messiah was accused of blasphemy.

He pointed to the future and said that the Antichrist would make war with the saints.

But again, that was already fulfilled in the past, when during the Dark Ages and Inquisition, they killed over 50 million saints.

He referenced Jonathan Cahn, another false prophecy teacher, and Sid Roth, a deceiver; both of which are futurists; neither of which point to the Jesuits of Rome as the reigning power, and the enemy of Messiah and His Church.

He projects all of the Revelation seals, trumpets and bowls to being fulfilled in the future.

The truth is that the riders of the horses in the seals of Revelation rode a long time ago, which lead to the decline and fall of the Roman Empire; from famine, pestilence and civil war. Read Revelation 6 – 7 Seals Overview

  1. So if Steven and others are false prophets , then You will be judged even harsher for the scripture says : Ro 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

Your act of disparagement opens yourself to be judged as a slanderer. As a Reporter he may come to speculative conclusions , but what makes you an infallible judge ?

    • Your argument makes no sense Tom. If Steven is a false prophecy teacher, then why would I be judged for proclaiming it?

Do you not think that part of our role is to expose false teachings, so that believers can know the truth?

Would you rather that people just let Steven teach false explanations, and not let you know?

I have not slandered him. I do not attack his character. He seems like a very nice, genuine man.

I simply shows how what he is teaching about the 70th week of Daniel, about the Olivet Discourse, and about Revelation, iswrong.

And I’ve never proclaimed to be infallible. Please read my studies, and prove how what I am teaching is wrong. I would like to know.

Otherwise, you’re accusing and judging me; without evidence to prove that I am wrong.

The accusation goes both ways brother.

Do you think that I like writing articles about people teaching false prophecy? I assure you that I do not. But I will not sit around and let people be deceived by these teachers who are proclaiming false prophecy fulfillment explanations.

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and shall not blow the ram’s horn, and the people shall not be warned, and the sword comes and takes any being from among them, he is taken away in his crookedness, and his blood I require at the watchman’s hand.’ Ezekiel 33:6

You are wrong, the true Church has never disappeared or died in order to come back to life because it always existed. When the Great Schism happened, it happened because of the heresies introduced by the Roman Catholic Church, that was the big moment in time when the first big branch of the tree got broken. Protestant Reformation is just another broken branch of an already dried out branch with no Grace left. The true Church is the Orthodox Church. Orthodox Church and Faith still has saints to present day and it’s the only and true Church. This is not even up for debates, this is the truth! • Well Paul, Messiah’s statement proves that indeed the church was dead, as He told the church of Sardis that they were dead, and then He commanded them to wake up and do the works that they are commanded to do.

And to the messenger of the assembly in Sardis write, ‘He who has the seven Spirits of Elohim and the seven stars, says this, “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete before Elohim.” Revelation 3:1-2

The church of Sardis is one of the two lampstands, who witnessed against the Popes of Rome, during their 1,260 year reign, from 538-1798 A.D. The other church was Thyatira.

  3. You sound like a Preterist. If the horses from Revelations is past (meaning the rest of Revelations has been fulfilled also?), then what happened to the millennial reign of Jesus/Jeshua and his saints?, battle of Armageddon, and new heaven and new Earth?

    Reply
    • Peggy, a Preterist believes that all of Revelation was fulfilled in the first century. That obviously is not what I am proclaiming. I am a Historicist, that believes that prophecy has been in the process of being fulfilled since it was written. Some of it was fulfilled in the first century, as that is when Messiah was crucified, and the city of Jerusalem, the temple and the Jewish leadership; were desolated.

All of the great theologians of the 16th-20th century were historicists. It’s only during the last few centuries that the deceptions of the futuristic explanations have taken hold in the church.

Here is a summary study that shows you what has been fulfilled, where we are at now on the fulfillment timeline, and what will happen next as we await Messiah’s return. http://revelationtimelinedecoded.com/bible-prophecy-made-easy/

  4. Perhaps you should word your critique of Stephen Ben-Denoon a little more kindly. Rather than state he is teaching false prophecy and recommending people not even listen to him, you should merely point out your opinion of his inaccuracies and show the studies you have. The way you are going about it is unkind and misleading. At least Stephen’s teachings always steer us back to the canonized word of God, leaving a path for those who are seeking, that leads back to God’s word. In all I’ve watched or read of Steven’s work I’ve seen him speculate but not pronounce. You on the other hand seem so wrapped up in your study that you feel you must dismiss Mr. Denoon’s work altogether.

Didn’t even the 12 disciples misinterpret Jesus’ teachings at times. Did they not misunderstand his ministry until after his death and resurrection? We are all human and as such subject to error. YES, EVEN YOU. I think you would find a more agreeable reception of your own work if you treated other watchmen more kindly. As such I’m inclined to dismiss your writings altogether since you seem bent on denouncing anyone you disagree with. Your attitude is pompous and vain and is doing more to drive people away rather than actually make them re-think what you believe to be errors in another’s teachings.

  5. I have heard Steven admit that he does not consider himself a prophet, but a watchman. He is a watchman. Be careful not to slander a brother in Christ. I was accused of doing such a thing by questioning some ‘pastors’ in a church who turned out to be telling only 1/2 truths. I have been praying that the Lord would show me who’s real and who’s not, who is telling the truth and who is deceiving and being deceived. I do not believe that the Ben-Nun’s are scam artists and liars so I will stand on their side. The Lord brought Israeli News Live to me when I was recovering from what was diagnosed as a terminal brain tumor, but was miraculously healed. I had asked the Lord His truth about the gifts of the Holy Spirit at a time they were being denied by some “brothers” and He revealed the truth to me. I ask that you pray for the same thing regarding who is lying and who isn’t. It’s absolutely essential for our maintaining the unity of our ‘brotherhood’. Thanks.

    • Elise, I have never proclaimed that Steven Ben-Denoon is a scam artist or liar. And it does not matter if someone doesn’t proclaim to be a prophet; if they are making prophecy explanations that are false, then they are deceiving people.

My priority is helping people see the truth about prophecy fulfillment, because the enemy has created many deceptions.

So what would you rather have? Unity, at the cost of being misled about prophecy fulfillment? Or for someone to show the truth about prophecy fulfillment, even though that means that someone accused of teaching false explanations?

  6. Folks,

Everyone has a different opinion, interpretation, or belief. Arguing with one another about who is right or wrong is not only meaningless but it is also (in my humble opinion) unrighteous.

I feel that if you have questions about the true fulfillment of scripture, prey to our Father for understanding and open your bible. Study for yourself.

In today’s day and age, there is WAY too much evil and persecution in the world. The internet lies. There is not much way to prove anything right or wrong because let’s face it.. You weren’t there and neither was I.

Satan has a stronger grip on humanity now than ever. I think whatever you or I believe, we can all agree that the end is coming. Those who are true believers in Christ should stop focusing on the “worldly” ways of arguing to prove oneself right, and unite to fight the evil that seeks to destroy us (Christians) all.

    David,

My hats off to you for being a watchman on the wall. My efforts to do the same have landed me in the realization that speaking to folks face to face is much better served than trying to argue a point with (for all we know) could be a lucifarian or even a new AI spambot somewhere.

  7. And you should be ashamed. Steven Ben-DeNoon is not a false prophecy teacher. He is trying in earnest to teach/preach the good news and if you disagree, so be it, but that doesn’t give you the right to spreading lies about him. God help you christians walking around blasting everybody who doesn’t agree with you.

  8. You sir need to shut down this website if you are going to go around calling people false prophecy teachers who are trying in earnest to spread the truth. Making a false interpretation of Scripture is a far cry from spreading false truth intentionally. I have been listening to Steven Ben-DeNoon for some time now and he is as close to the truth as any other Bible teacher, maybe more. I respect and appreciate what he is doing. I don’t always agree with everything he says, but as with many other teachers we are all human and misinterpret, but it is obvious that he is a true blue christian doing his best to spread the truth. I don’t see that in you.

    • The Two Witnesses are for the Jews? Are you basing that on a futuristic 70th week of Daniel, when supposed the ‘church’ won’t be here, as they’ve been raptured, and God will then deal with the Jews.

If so, you’ve been misled, as the 70th week of Daniel was fulfilled on time, after the 69th week. Here is a study series that proves it out. http://70thweekofdaniel.com

There is no future pre-trib rapture, there is no future 7-year tribulation period, there is no future 3 1/2 year time of Great Tribulation.

As for the Two Witnesses, that prophecy has already been fulfilled. Here is the study that proves it out. http://revelationtimelinedecoded.com/the-two-witnesses-of-revelation-11/

You’re just proving my point, that people like Steven Ben-DeNoon are teaching you false prophecy explanations.

  11. Is wrong interpretation of biblical prophecy same as “false prophecy teaching”? Calling a person a “false prophecy teacher” implies the person is a “false prophet” who is out to deceive people deliberately , an agent of the devil. Are you sure ALL your interpretations of biblical prophecies are correct? If not, then that makes you a false prophecy teacher too.

    • I would disagree. Someone can teach false prophecy teachings, and they do it because they are mistaken. It does not necessarily mean that they are deliberately doing it and I have never claimed that Steven Ben-DeNoon is doing it intentionally. As for my studies, you will just have to read the studies to discern for yourself, otherwise there is no merit to your accusation.
