Perspective About Pastor Chuck Baldwins Recent Facebook Statement

This End Times Deceptions Bible study features my perspective about the recent Facebook post from Pastor Chuck Baldwin.

At first I was delighted about Pastor Baldwin’s announcement, as he was saying the same things that I’ve been shown during the last few years.

Given his credentials and large following, I was prayerful that it would help people, especially other Pastors, pursue the truth about what he is saying.  And maybe it will.

But now that it’s been a few days, and I see no sign of Pastor Baldwin saying that he will provide proof for his statements, I just see a sad failed attempt.

I don’t know if he just expected that people would believe him because of his background?

What I do know is that if you’re going to make statements like…

I no longer believe that Daniel’s Seventy Weeks prophecy had any gap of time.

I no longer believe Matthew 24 deals primarily with Christ’s Second Coming but has more to do with the coming destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

And I no longer believe that the modern State of Israel has any connection to Biblical Israel–past or future.

Then you should have been prepared to back up those statements with Biblical proof.

To not do so just invited people to disagree and walk away, shaking their heads.

It was a huge opportunity to help people who are humble and teachable, to see the truth.

Instead it’s just turned into an ugly discussion on his Facebook page.

And that breaks my heart…

The Spirit has led me to the same conclusions as Pastor Baldwin.  After 47 years in Baptist and Calvary Chapel Churches, the Spirit has revealed many prophecy deceptions.

I’ve spent the last three years documenting what I’ve been shown in the studies on my End Times Deceptions website.

Many of these things were taught by the great theologians of history, but they have been pushed aside by the enemy during the last few centuries.  The Spirit had me learn from people like:

Albert Barnes’ Notes on the New and Old Testaments.
John Calvin’s Commentaries.
Adam Clarke’s Commentary on the Bible.
Commentary from the 1599 edition of the Geneva Bible.
Henry Grattan Guinness, Romanism and the Reformation.
John Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible.
Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible.
Matthew Henry’s Whole Bible Commentary.
Matthew Poole’s Commentary on the Holy Bible.
Phillip Mauro’s study “The Seventy Weeks and the Great Tribulation
John Wesley’s Bible Notes.

I don’t know Pastor Chuck Baldwin and can’t give you his specific justifications, but I have researched these matters in depth.

Here is my post with his statements, with links to Bible studies that back up his points.

    CHUCK IS CORRECT-

Every time there is a crisis all these evangelicals, Baptist, Pentecostals etc. always start crying prophesies are coming true, mentioning revelations 13, Matthew, Daniel, and so on. And now with COVID-19 *is NO exception.
Most of All the prophecies have been fulfilled , there is very little left, “like the second coming of Christ”
If Mister Baldwin can’t give show biblical proof, maybe someone can tell him to contact me, so I or one of my Christian brothers or sisters can give him a bible study on the subject.

    • Yeah, it would be great if Pastor Baldwin could understand the fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel, the Olivet Discourse and Revelation. You can connect with him on Facebook, to try to have a conversation.

  2. David,

Like I mentioned in an earlier comment, I know practically nothing about pastor Baldwin, so I don’t have a feel for whether his recantation is genuine or not.

What I will say however, is that I don’t see what he stands to gain from putting on an act about such a radical change in position.

Perhaps he needs to be given a chance to explain his new views from a scriptural and historical perspective, if indeed, as he said, he put a lot of study and prayer into his decision.

    Blessings,

    Markus (Mark)
