Modern Bible Deception Verse Comparison Study

The premise behind the modern Bible versions, such as the NIV and ESV, is that they’re easier to read, but the deception lies in the fact that they are missing words and verses, which is forbidden by God.

For example, the NIV has 64,576 (which is 10%) fewer words than the King James.

What you’ll notice is that many of those changes are in verses that validate the deity of Jesus.  So grab your Bible and compare it to the King James verses listed below and you will see Satan’s pattern of removing important texts.

This is not a ‘King James only’ Bible study.  Other Bibles are based on the Textus Receptus (Received Text), but the King James is the most common one, so we’ve used it for this study.

The missing or changed words are in blue.

NOTE: Your Bible version may not have all of the changes.  In some cases, Bible translators inserted notations that say that some manuscripts don’t include the words or verse, which creates doubt in the mind of the reader.

In Matthew 8:29, does your Bible remove that the demons called Jesus by name, identifying Him as the Son of God?
And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?”

In Matthew 25:13, does your Bible remove the text that speaks of Jesus return?
“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh

In Luke, does your Bible imply that Joseph is the biological father of Jesus?
In Luke 2:43, the KJ shows that Joseph is not Jesus biological father when it says “Joseph and his(Jesus) mother”, which is peculiar and implies a separation. By replacing the text with “his parents”, it implies that Joseph is his father.

And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.”

In Luke 2:33, does your Bible imply that Joseph is the father of Jesus, which removes the virgin birth?
And Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which were spoken of him.”

In Luke 11:2-4, does your Bible remove important words in the Lord’s Prayer, including delivering us from Satan’s evil?
And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day  our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.”

In Luke 9:56, does your Bible that Jesus came to Earth to save men’s lives?
For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village. “

In Luke 23:42, does your Bible the removed the thief’s profession of faith in Jesus as Lord?
Because the thief on the cross professed that Jesus was Lord (God), he was saved.
And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.”

In Acts 8:37, does your Bible have this verse where the Ethiopian Eunich professed his faith in Jesus Christ as God?
And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

In Romans 14:10, does your Bible remove another proof-text that Jesus is God, and that Jesus will be our judge?
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.“

In 1 Corinthians 15:47 does your Bible remove the title of ‘Lord’ from Jesus, the second man; removing His deity.
The first man is Adam, the second man is the Lord Jesus.
The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”

In Galations 4:7, does your Bible remove that we are heirs of God ‘through Christ’?
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

In Ephesians 3:9, does your Bible remove Jesus as the creator, which confirms that He is eternal and equal to God?
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.”

In Phillipians 4:13, does your Bible remove the source of our power, ‘Christ’?
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

In Colossians 1:14, does your Bible remove Jesus blood as our redemption for forgiveness of sins?
In whom we have redemption through His blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins

In 1 Timothy 3:16, does your Bible remove the statement that God was manifest in the flesh in Jesus?
This links God to all the things that Jesus accomplished on Earth, thereby equating Jesus with God in the flesh. We all appear in a body, so there’s nothing great about that.  But God manifesting Himself in the flesh, that’s supernatural.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory

In John 16:16, does your Bible remove that Jesus was going to be with the Father, which verifies that He is God?
A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.”

In Revelation 1:11, does your Bible remove Jesus title of ‘Alpha and Omega, the first and the last’, meaning eternal?
Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches

Did the modern Bible versions take away all of the words and verses that validate Jesus deity?

Of course not, that would be too obvious.  But God warned us not to take away any words.

Every validation of Jesus deity is a witness to us and to the lost world.  So to say that it’s okay to remove some, because those same truths are found elsewhere in the Bible, is a wrong approach.

Your pastor may say that the Greek manuscripts don’t include these missing words or verses, but that is because Satan has infiltrated Seminaries and Bible schools, to cause them to use corrupt Greek Bibles which are also missing them.

Since these corrupt Greek Bibles are the foundation for the NIV and ESV, and they are both missing the words and verses, most Pastors never realize the deception.  Satan is the great deceiver and he has been very effective.

The Word of God, the Bible is our authority on Daniel and Revelation prophecy

  2. Hi David,

You state that you are not “KJV only”, but then go onto attack most modern translations because you say they have been corrupted by Satan. That definitely sounds misguided, arrogant and divisive to me. None of the mentioned modern translations DENY the deity of Christ the way in which you claim. This absolutely FOOLISH translation controversy that some engage in (I did too at one time), has so many believers “straining out gnats and swallowing camels” and serves to distract many away from the work of God, which is by faith, according to the leading of the Holy Spirit. I agree with much of your eschatology and conclusions on your websites by the way, but it also appears to me that you are seeking to undermine the authority of many good (not perfect) translations and cause unnecessary doubt, confusion and anxiety for believers visiting your websites. Would you have them distrust every Bible translation and read none? That is a slippery slope, that eventually leads to each person deciding their own truth.

Do you realise how absolutely RIDICULOUS these arguments are about Bible translations? What about the translations that are in an entirely different languages? I wonder how many more, or less, words, sentences there are in the the Italian, French, or Danish bibles compared to the KJV or other versions. What about the NKJV or ISR translations by comparison? You have decided which Greek texts are supposedly the original ones. Were you there at the time? I repeat, NONE of the mentioned translations deny the deity of Christ in the way in which you claim. The way I read it, is that some in their zeal or perhaps view of theology, have over the centuries of copying, absorbed some commentary notes into the actual verse, and that is unfortunate, as all that serves to do is cast doubt for those with a need for a letter for letter translation which is impossible anyway, rather than just getting on with understanding the whole context of the wider narrative, and its message to us.

I was caught up in these distracting arguments as well for several years. Which translation am I best using? This was my search for quite sometime. I reached the conclusion that there are no “perfect translations”, but there are many “good translations”. I currently own a KJV, but very rarely use it, as I dont speak old English, some of the words have very different meanings today, and it also contains errors. I also own and read an NKJV, ESV, NIV, and NLT. None of these Bible translations are perfect. Reading scripture in the original Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic would be best, if you are pushing people away from so called “corrupt translations”, and that isolates just about everyone from scripture, taking us back to the “dark ages” of Roman Catholicism. Even if we could read and understand the scriptures in their original ancient languages, we would still have problems understanding their FULL context, as we do not live in the times when the scripture was written. Instead, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth, as you read the different translations, and deal with life’s challenges. He will lead you into Truth if you are genuinely seeking it in each given situation.

The truth is that people don’t get into heresy because of translations, they get there because of pride, disobedience and rebellion. The big cults in the world today – Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventism, Christian Science etc etc, were mostly based on the King James Version! Does that make the King James Version bad? No. The problem does not lie with the translations but the problem lies in the hearts of men and how the translation is used. Some of the problems that lead to error are a lack of logical consistency, ignorance, pride, and reading the Scriptures in a reactive way. God can use even the worst translation to bring men to truth if they really want to know the truth. In the same way the very best translations and even the actual documents signed by Paul did not stop men from devising false doctrines.

Dont get me wrong David, you have some great material on your websites. Though some of it I dont agree with, some I am undecided about, and some I lean a different way. Your material certainly challenges established thinking and conclusions. This is a good thing (most of the time).

Blessings from a brother in Christ,
    Peter

    • This study proves that Bibles like the NIV, which are based on corrupt manuscripts, do in fact remove words or verses which confirm Messiah’s deity. I did not say that they removed all of the proofs.

There have been two main paths of Scripture; the pure one from Antioch, and the corrupt one from Alexandria, Egypt. The corrupt one was edited by philosophers who sought to remove proofs of the deity of Messiah. That is the foundation of the NIV. http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/bible-manuscript-paths/

So the NIV and most modern translations are corrupt. And the Greek Bible that is used in most seminaries, is also based on these corrupt manuscripts, thanks to a few heretics named Westcott and Hort, who created a new Greek New Testament in the 19th century.

Pointing that out is not misguided, arrogant or divisive; it’s informative for people who are searching for the truth.

I’m not KJ only because it and most modern translations have removed the Father’s personal name and replaced it with the titles of God and Lord. Given all of the verses that emphasize the importance of the Father’s name, this is a huge deal!

In the New Testament, sometimes you don’t know if a verse is speaking about the Father or the Son, as it says God or Lord; which are titles that are applied to both of them. Knowing who it is pointing to makes a huge difference.

The enemy is behind these corruptions in the King James and most modern Bibles. So I am not arguing just to argue, I am pointing out huge changes that have been made, which change the meaning of Scripture.

If you care to read a study about the Father’s name being hidden, here’s a link to a study that I wrote. http://christianitybeliefs.org/the-falling-away/the-names-of-the-father-and-the-son/

      • Are you part of the “Sacred Names” movement?

Do really believe using a certain “word” or “title” for Jesus and the Father make you closer to them. I don’t call my father or mother by their given names. I call them Dad and Mum. I dont see Jesus addressing the Father by any other name than “abba” or Father as well. Also the Father addresses Jesus as “son” as well.

As for the translations being “corrupt”, you go too far. I prefer “less than perfect” as they are not in the original languages of Koine Greek, Aramaic and ancient Hebrew. Huge changes is a gross exaggeration and divisive. The broader narrative is correct and profitable for teaching in my opinion.

        • I’m not a part of any ‘movement’, I just seek to know Scriptural truth. Time and time again the Father declares the importance of His name. God, Lord and Father, are titles, not a name.

The translators of the King James and almost every other Bible since the 16th century, replaced the Father’s name, which is declared in the manuscripts; and replaced it with the titles of God and Lord.

I prefer to know and use His actual name, not a title.

As for the name Jesus, it is the Greek transliteration of Messiah’s Hebrew name. People can use Jesus or His Hebrew name Yahusha, both of which point to the Father (Yahuah) saving.

It’s ironic that you point to the Sacred Names movement, which (wrongly) condemns the name Jesus; but then you do the same thing, by condemning people who use the Father and Son’s Hebrew names.

As for the Bible translations, I’m not sure how pointing out that many modern versions are based on corrupt manuscripts, which removed some of the proofs of Messiah’s deity; is taking it too far.

I just want to read from a word-for-word translation, which includes all of the words.

Thanks for the article, I’ll check it out.

        • Ironically Peter, when you look at the image on the bottom of the study that you provided the link to; at the top of the image, above the bird, are Hebrew letters, יהוה. Those four letters represent Father’s name YHUH, the tetragrammaton. So right there on the King James they are acknowledging that they knew the Hebrew name, but they did not include it in the Scriptures.

    • Peter, I agree with you and I agree with David.
I have used the NIV for the past 20 yrs. A gift from one of my sons.

The NIV Has been handled by dishonest scholars in my belief. David is confirmation of that for me, as I need someone with more brain cells than I to help me.

Yes I am looking to replace this bible.
I believe that even with this contamination I hold in my hands, Yahuah has not forsaken me. He still shows me his truths.
This is not a endorsement for the NIV. It is a praise for Yahuah Elohim that in spite of the circumstances he will reach out and connect with his chosen.

Peter, I also do not agree with all David has to say, but in spite of that, I want him to stay the course in obedience to Elohim, speak what I need to hear.
Elohim bless you Peter and Also David In Yahusha`s Name.

  3. I had a Godly mother that told me to pray before reading my Bible as well as after. The pre-prayer was to ask for enlightenment, wisdom, knowledge, and the retention and ownership of what I read.
I also cross reference a number of Bibles & use a study Bible and a Concordance to research my readings. God knows when a person is hungry for Wisdom & for what God’s will is for your life. His Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

  4. David – Thank you for all of the work you’ve put into the site and providing us thirsty Jesus loving folks a fountain to drink from! I do have a couple of questions that I was wondering if you can answer for me. Are you aware that they have altered bibles, specifically KJV bibles and those alterations are retroactive? I have an authorized KJV of a John A. Hertel bible printed in 1945 and it clearly speaks of unicorns instead of ox, wolf and lamb instead of lion, stuffe, bottles, bank etc. It appears they have altered actual bibles in our possession that I’m certain would never speak to Jesus ordering someone to be slaughtered or slain. What do you make of this? I’m sure I know but most folks find it too far fetched so I will just wait for your reply! I’m still stuck on the origination of the new testament but I had researched it and came up with it basically originating from the Catholics and as we know they are antichrist. I’ve been researching for awhile and I never could figure out how they were manufacturing events and yet it is deemed prophecy! 🙂 I am absolutely certain they have altered things in our history. Let me know your thoughts.

    • Sorry for the slow response. I am away of the supposed Mandela Effect. I’m not convinced. I can explain many of the supposed changes. As for Messiah declaring people come to be killed before Him, He was referring to the Jews who rejected Him as their Messiah and delivered Him up to be killed. Read His condemnation of them in Matthew 23, where He clearly said that all the righteous blood they had shed would be pouted out on them, on that generation. And indeed it was, as 1.1 million Jews died in and around Jerusalem from 66-70 A.D., from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, crucifixion and by the Roman sword. And indeed, the Jewish leaders were desolated before Messiah, who commanded the ‘people of the Prince’, the Roman army to desolate the Jews. 5. Shallom. David, pls recheck Textus Receptus. Are you sure about its authenticity? Even Westcott & Hort not sure!
As for differences in Mat, Luke, etc, :
    1. More words is not always better. Beware of what E Tov call “Harmonization”, which can be done with adding some words to a version of Book (Torah, Bible) from parts of other book (eg. add to Luke, from Gen, Mat, John) to make own version seem having more words (i.e. “complete”) than others.
    2. They did not hide the truth, if the “missing”(?) words is available in other parts of Bible. (Not in Luke, exists in Mat).
May God bless you and show you the Truth.

I have problem when to consider a symbol and when to consider literal.
If I understood right, Revelation is symbolism therefore my question.
I know for fact that the Mormon church is buying farms in Brazil and other countries for they believe the world will run out of food.
If we believe they are controled by the Jesuits that makes sense… For after have caused the problem they will come and offer their “solution”….

Another question: are there any indication that the frogs getting out of the mouth of beast, false profet, etc refs. to the 3 WWs?

    • Ricardo, Revelation is both symbolic and literal. It uses symbols, most of which are defined in the Old Testament, to foretell a literal fulfillment. So I believe that in the Jesuit’s One World Government, they will have a global currency, probably digital and maybe linked to the RFID chip or RF tattoo, that will only allow those who obey them to buy and sell using the currency.

I like your assessment of the three frogs. That is what I have concluded as it makes the most sense. WW I and II have caused the Jesuits to take control of large nations, and they have helped to create the Zionist state of Israel. WW III will lead to the One World Government, which is exactly what Scripture says the three frog-like spirits would do. Here is a new study on the three frog-like spirits http://christianitybeliefs.org/revelation-timeline-decoded/the-three-unclean-spirits-of-the-sixth-bowl-of-revelation-16/

    • Great question Ricardo! The antichrist beast in Revelation 13 are the Popes of Rome. The Jesuit General, the Black Pope, took control of the Vatican in the late 18th century, and is using the Vatican and the White Pope to gather the world under his power.

The Jesuits control the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the International Bank of Settlements, the Federal Reserve Bank, and Central Banks in almost every country. In their New World Order, they will control the monetary system, to dictate who buys and sells.

I believe that worshiping the image of the beast is to revere/worship (mark on forehead) the Pope of Rome, who is the beast.

I believe that obeying the Pope of Rome is the mark on the right hand, indicating action.

When the Jesuit’s One World Government is formed, no doubt the Pope will declare commands for people to follow. It think that after WW III and after a worldwide financial collapse, all of which the Jesuits will cause, that people will be desperate for food, water, etc.; so they will be likely to obey the Pope.

As for the implementation of the system that determines who buys and sells, it could be an RFID chip or tattoo.

The main point is to not revere/worship the Pope, and not obey him.

I hope that helps. What is your perspective?

      David

  9. If your belief is that Messiah was a walking God-man, that appears to smack of polytheism. I don’t know, but the Trinity concept comes straight from Catholic church teachings according to my research. It is an incredibly confusing doctrine and Holy Father is not the author of confusion. I have prayed long and hard for truth on this subject, and always I am steered back to “Holy Father is One, always has been, always will be. After two and a half years research it always points to Catholic church teachings. Just because the protestants came out of her doesn’t mean they did away with all her teachings. Keeping the pagan holidays, for one. Not reinstituting the Sabbath for another. It seems to me that Messiah was resurrected into the Holy Father’s family to sit on His right side as our Holy High Priest and King, as Son of God, not God Himself.

    Reply
    • Thank you for your comment Gayle 🙂 I would not disagree with your explanation. I updated the study to remove that reference to the trinity. I agree that the Protestants did not identify all of the false teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, and since the Protestant Reformation, they have joined with her once again. Blessings to you! • You got it Gayle. Believing the Roman church system to be antichrist should cause one to seriously consider the primary doctrine that was formulated and disseminated from it : deity of Jesus, Trinity, God-man, incarnation, etc.
A man claiming/claimed to be God and anti torah (lawless) is as very good summary of the Jesus promoted by Roman Catholics, and virtually all so called Christian denominations. Denying the true relationship that the man Jesus (come in flesh = human being) had with the Eternal Father is what Satan promotes as that is also the destiny of those that follow in his footsteps.

  10. Why would the Pilgrims flee England for Religious persecution, and use the KJV of the Bible when they were protesting against that very King? The KJV is not the Bible that was on the Mayflower with the Pilgrims.

Another thing. The KJV is the only Bible that replaces the word Passover with Easter.

Satan has corrupted ALL versions of the Bible, every single one of them. God’s word is preserved in the heart of man. To understand the teachings of the Bible, you must compare ALL of them. Satan may be able to corrupt God’s word, but he will never be able to hide God’s message.

The Latin Vulgate was the most corrupt ever and KJV is translated from this version. Key verses were changed to make it look like Kings had divine power, and that Men had authority over women.

Just wondering. Enjoy your Bible studies, but this one threw me for a loop???

    • Thank you for your comment Lori 🙂 I don’t believe that I said that the KJV was used by the Pilgrims. Maybe you assumed that I am KJ-only, which I am not. I use it in the study because like the Geneva Bible, it is based on the Masoretic Text and Textus Receptus. And because more people are familiar with it compared to the Geneva Bible.

I agree that the KJV translated Acts wrong to say Easter instead of Passover.

I learned of this truth of the many false bible’s out there and how they deny the deity of Christ , and take out so many words, and I even approached the head Pastor of the church we had just started to go to, having just moved, because he used only the niv and taught from it..well, he stalled me for awhile and said he would get to me, but never did..needless to say my husband and I changed churches. I feel very strongly about this and it is so hard to find any ministry that doesn’t use these translations in some form or another. Almost every Christian book uses the niv for their scriptures and I wonder to myself why they couldn’t just use the King James instead. It’s almost like you say to yourself “could all these Christian people who know the word of God much better than me be wrong??”, and you start to doubt, but then I read an article like yours and I say Thank God someone is staying true to God’s word and I realize it is satan’s way of mind control. I wish more people would get this truth. Thank you for this article and many of them on your site. God Bless You!!

When the Lord woke me up about three years ago, this was the first deception that He showed me. I found out that Acts 8:37 was not in the NIV, so I asked a Pastor why, and he replied because it’s not in the Greek Bible.

It seemed like a legitimate answer, but then the Lord showed me that the Greek Bible that he is referring to is corrupt, as it is based on corrupt manuscripts.

So Pastors never see the deception, because at cemetery 😛 they learn from corrupt Greek Bibles and corrupt English Bibles, which are both missing the same words.

It was eye-opening to say the least, and depressing, because the great majority of ‘christians’ have been deceived by it.
