An End Times 70th Week Of Daniel Is Illogical

This end times prophecy deception study will focus on the illogical teachings about the 70th Week of Daniel.

After 1800 years of correct theology about Daniel’s 70 Week Prophecy, from revered scholars such as John Wycliffe, William Tyndale, John Calvin, Martin Luther, Matthew Henry, Adam Clarke, Albert Barnes, and many others…

Today’s Pastors have thrown logic out the window.

They teach that only 483 years of God’s 490 year prophecy have been fulfilled; that there is a 1,986+ year time GAP; and then an end times 7 year tribulation, which finally fulfills the prophecy.

So that means that so far it has taken God 2,476 years to fulfill His own 490 year prophecy.

What kind of God are these Pastors teaching us about?

Only a weak god couldn’t fulfill his own prophecy on schedule.

And logic tells us that if a 490 year prophecy isn’t fulfilled in 490 years, then the prophecy is invalid.

Of course, the Most High God is not a God of confusion, and He fulfilled His prophecy on time.

The 70 Weeks of Daniel study invalidated the foundation for a future 7-year period, as it proves that the covenant is from Jesus Christ, not an end times Antichrist.

To see how illogical it is to insert a 1,986+ year time GAP into a 490 year prophecy, consider the following.

The 70th Week of Daniel prophecy is about the Jews, not the end of the world.

When you read the ninth chapter of Daniel, it starts with Daniel most earnestly praying with an attitude of humbleness before the Lord.

He acknowledges/confesses the sin and apostasy of his people.

He professed that God is righteous and just in His dealing out of punishment.

And he prayed to God to restore his people (the Jews), as their 70 year captivity in Babylon was nearly over.

While in captivity, a remnant of Jews stayed true to God, but the majority did not repent of their ways. Daniel was interceding, asking God to forgive them and to give them another chance to return to Jerusalem and reconcile with Him.

He was not praying for revelation about the end times.

The context of the 70 weeks of Daniel prophecy is all about the Jews and their release from Babylonian captivity. God was giving them one last chance to repent, to reconcile, and to prepare for their coming Messiah; before He removes the kingdom and blessings from them.

It’s not about the end-times, so end-times prophecy should NOT be applied to it.

It doesn’t make sense to apply the 70th week of Daniel prophecy to everyone in the world.

The angel Gabriel said that the prophecy is only about the Jews being released from captivity, rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem, and preparing for their Messiah.

Daniel 9:24 says “Seventy weeks (490 prophetic years) are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city(Jerusalem).”

The 70 weeks were fulfilled from 457 B.C. to 34 A.D., so it has nothing to do with an end-times antichrist who seeks to control the whole world.

The prophecy was only for Daniel’s people, the Jews; not to Gentiles or other nations.

It’s a 490 year prophecy, not a (483 + 1,986 + 7) year prophecy.

The entire prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27 covers a period of 490 years.  Ask yourself…

If God gives a prophecy for a 490 year time period, how long does it take Him to fulfill it?

Of course the answer is 490 years, otherwise it’s not a 490 year prophecy.  And if it wasn’t fulfilled in 490 years, then it invalid.

Against all logic, today’s teachers say that God only fulfilled 483 years of His prophecy, and that there is a 1,986+ year time GAP before the final 7 years will be fulfilled, as the end times 7-year tribulation period.

There has never been a precedent where God gave a timeline and then didn’t meet it in the time allotted.

All biblical references to time are consecutive: 40 days and 40 nights (see Genesis 7:4), 400 years in Egypt (see Genesis 15:13), 70 years of captivity (see Daniel 9:2), etc.

Logic demands that we look to see how God fulfilled the prophecy in the allotted time.

What week comes after the 69th week?

Logic requires that the 70th week follow immediately after the 69th week. If it doesn’t, then how can it possibly be called the 70th week!

Today’s teachers say that after the 69th week, the prophetic clock stopped, and that it won’t start ticking again until the end times 70th Week of Daniel, the 7-year tribulation period, begins.

The enormous problem with that logic is that there is no gap mentioned, referred to, implied, or remotely hinted at, anywhere in the prophecy.

They say that the events of the last 7 years of the 490 year prophecy were not fulfilled, therefore they speculate that it must be in the future.

Since logic requires that “seventy weeks” refers to one consecutive block of time (seventy straight sequential weeks), we have to search the scriptures and refer to historical texts, to see how God fulfilled the prophecy in the allotted time.

Many of today’s teachers says that Jesus was killed immediately after the 69th week, and that the 70th week never started.

Ask yourself, how long was Jesus ministry?

Was it not 3 ½ years, which was confirmed by the Gospel of John, as Jesus went to Passover 4 times, the last time to die.

AFTER the 69th week, Jesus was anointed at His baptism, and then He proclaimed Himself as the Jews Messiah in the temple when He read from the book of Isaiah.

Then Jesus ministered for 3 ½ years.

His death occurred halfway through the 7 year period, fulfilling Daniel 9:27, which says that in the midst of the seven years, the sacrifices would end.

Jesus blood sacrifice as the spotless Lamb of God fulfilled the Law, terminating the Sinai Covenant, causing the temple curtain to be torn in two, and ending the need for temple sacrifices.

During the last half of the 70th week of Daniel, the disciples preached the Gospel to the Jews.

Jesus and His disciples primarily ministered to the House of Israel for 3.5 years, as most of their time was spent in Galilee, not Jerusalem.

After His death, Jesus disciples primarily ministered in Jerusalem to the House of Judah for 3.5 years.

This fulfills the promise in Jeremiah 31:31, “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.”

The 7 year period ended when Stephen preached the Gospel to the Jewish leaders and held them accountable for their promised Messiah’s death.

The Jews leaders responded by stoning Stephen to death, fulfilling Jesus prophecy in Matthew 23:34-35.

Then Paul was called to be the Apostle to the nations (Gentiles), and Philip was told to preach to the nations. This fulfilled Isaiah’s prophecy that the light of Jesus would shine and salvation would be offered to all of the nations of the earth.

As punishment for the Jews killing Jesus prophets, He told the Jews that all the righteous blood of the prophets would come upon their generation.  This was fulfilled in 70 A.D. when the people of Prince Titus, the Roman army, caused 1.1 million Jews to die.

Does it make sense to mention the death of Jesus and the end times arrival of the Antichrist in the same verse?

Verse 26 mentions the Messiah who will be killed and the prince who is to come.

Today’s Pastors say that the “prince” is an end times Antichrist.

Implying that the death of Jesus Christ and the end times arrival of the antichrist are in the same verse is not logical.

Mentioning the death of Jesus Christ and the coming prince (Titus) who would desolate those who had Jesus crucified, makes perfect sense.

The 70th Week of Daniel prophecy doesn’t mention the building of a 3rd temple.

Many Pastors teach that an end-times Antichrist is going to desecrate a 3rd temple.

The 70 Weeks of Daniel prophecy describes the rebuilding of the 2nd temple, but it doesn’t mention the building of a 3rd temple.

Implying that the prophecy speaks about an end times Antichrist in a 3rd temple is illogical.

Pastors use 2 Thes. 2:3-4 to justify the need for a 3rd temple, but the Antichrist In The Temple Deception study reveals that it is referring to the spiritual temple that is made up of followers of Christ, the Christian Church; not a physical temple.

Read Daniel 9:24-27 and ask yourself:

  • Does it mention a 2,000 year gap in between week 69 and week 70?
  • Does it use the word “Antichrist”?
  • Does it specify that an Antichrist will make a peace accord with Israel?
  • Does it speak of an end times 3rd temple being rebuilt?
  • Did the passage mention an Antichrist who will proclaim that he is god?
  • Does it use the word “tribulation”?
  • Did the passage mention the rapture of the Church?

The answer is NO

So why do teachers incorrectly separate the last 7 years away from the first 483?

Because they don’t understand that it was completely fulfilled, thus they speculate that it must be future.

And because Satan has deceived people, so that they don’t understand the signs of Jesus second coming, much like the Jews did not realize the time of Jesus first coming.

Because the 70th week of Daniel has been fulfilled, the foundation for the concepts of the 7-year tribulation with an Antichrist entering a rebuilt Jewish temple, are invalidated!

Given that most Christians have been (mis)led to believe in a pretribulation rapture followed by 7 years of tribulation for those that are left behind…

that leaves most Christians woefully deceived about what happens next in end times prophecy, and it leaves them unprepared to face the beast system as it moves the world into their New World Order, where everyone will be made to kneel and worship the beast… or die.

In Matthew 24:24, Jesus said “For there shall arise false Christs, and false Prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

In 2 Timothy 4:3-4 Paul warned us, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

The covenant in Daniel 9:27 is from Jesus Christ, not an end times Antichrist.

Today’s Pastors say that the covenant is from an end times Antichrist, so it must be future.

But the covenant was from Jesus Christ and it was fulfilled in the 70th week.

To read a study that proves the covenant was from Jesus, click on Daniels 70th Week.

Daniel 9:26-27 foretells the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple.

There is no mention anywhere in the Bible of an Antichrist making a peace agreement with Israel or destroying the temple and Jerusalem.

But history confirms that the people of Prince Titus, the Roman army, did in fact surround the city as Jesus warned in Luke 21, and they laid the city and temple desolate.

To say that the 70th week of Daniel has not been fulfilled, is implying that God did not follow through on His promise to desolate the Jews and their temple, if they did not accept their promised Messiah.

Jesus said in His Parable of the Wicked Vinedressers in Matthew 21, that the wicked tenants who killed the landowners servants and His son, would be killed, and the land given to another to bear the fruit.

Jesus said in His Parable of the Wedding Feast in Matthew 22, that God invited the Jews to be married to His Son Jesus, if they would accept His offer of salvation. But they refused and they killed His servants.  And when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Those parables aren’t just stories, they were prophecies to the Jews, that they would be killed if they rejected Him as Messiah.

In Matthew 24, Jesus described the Great Tribulation that would take place when the Roman army surrounds the city.  Historians confirm that there was famine, and pestilences, and wars, and false prophets who told the Jews it would be okay.

Jesus told the disciples that when they see the Abomination of Desolation, which Luke 21 tells us is the army surrounding the Holy Place of Jerusalem, then they were to flee to the mountains.

1.1 Million Jews died from starvation, from disease, from infighting, from crucifixions, and by the Roman sword.

There are no recorded deaths of any of Christians, people from the House of Israel and House of Judah who accepted Jesus as Messiah, as they saw the sign and fled the city with God’s protection.

To say that the 70th week of Daniel has not been fulfilled, is to remove the finality of the desolation of the Jewish nation.

To remove Jesus ministry from the 70th week is to remove the precise timing that proved that Jesus is the Messiah.

Here are some graphics to use on Facebook and other social media sites, to help people see the truth about the 70th week of Daniel.

70th week of Daniel made simple

  1. Nice study, this position lines up with what I believe the scriptures are saying. The irony of it is that the very people who claim to properly exegete the Bible and boast in a literal hermeneutic, add many assumption not stated within the passage and have created an eschatological paradigm grounded in what was never stated in the passage.

My argument is simple. Much hinges on who the “he” in verse 27. The answer is simple. “He” is a pronoun referring the antecedent in the previous verse. The options are commonly accepted to be either “messiah” or “prince” from the compound sentence in verse 26. But with a closer look at verse 26, “the prince” is actually not the subject but part of a prepositional phrase, “of the prince,” explaining the subject, “the people.”
    What does this mean:
    1. “The people” are the subject and “of the prince” is a prepositional phrase explaining “the people.”
    2. “He” in 27 is a singular pronoun referring to a previous singular antecedent.
    3. This must mean that the pronoun “he” in 27 is referring to the singular antecedent “messiah” in verse 26.
    4. “He” may be grammatically replaced with “messiah” and verse 27 now becomes clear.

For me the grammar of the sentence answers the question and pokes a hole into a lot circumstantial eschatological assumptions. Most of the opposition I receive from this observation state that English grammar is not applicable because the original scriptures obviously weren’t written in English. What’s even more ironic and rather comical is that many times the people who say this are double inspiration KJVers. Anyhow, I love people. Good thing we aren’t saved by our endtimes views but by the grace of God we are saved through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord.

    • Thank you for sharing your excellent insight Ryan. The passage really isn’t that difficult to understand, as it’s fairly straight-forward. It’s the futuristic programming in people’s minds that causes them to not be able to see the clear fulfillment.

Though we aren’t saved by our end times views, many people will pay a heavy price for not knowing the proper fulfillment of prophecy, for they will be deceived by the enemy.

      Blessings to you,
      David

  2. It’s hard to say that Daniel 9 is about Jesus. 9:24 is typical old testament language about the sin of Israel and God pining for their return to Him. 9:25 mentions an anointed one, a prince, who comes in the first seven weeks. You ignore this, but nevertheless, in the old testament any leader could have been an anointed one and more specifically, David was the only one predicted to be anything that sounded like a messiah. Then 9:26 says the people of the prince, who is the anointed one, will destroy the city and the sanctuary. Jesus’ followers didn’t do that, the Romans did. The only part of this prophecy that looks fulfilled is the rebuilding of the temple. I’m a Christian, but Christians live in fantasy about the old testament, which was about God’s dysfunctional relationship with Israel and the Jews; not about Jesus and the Gentiles. Christians also live in fantasy about the bible being perfect, when it has many unfulfilled prophecies, contradictions, figurative language, and unclear directions. The bible is an unreliable document and it’s best to approach it with that in mind.

    • Hugh, Daniel 9:25 clearly says that 7 weeks and 62 weeks, for a total of 69 weeks, would pass before Messiah appears. The people of the prince are the Romans, whom Messiah sent to desolate the temple, city and Jews.

The only part that looks to be fulfilled is the rebuilding of the temple? It’s not been rebuilt, so no.

The bible is an unreliable document? I would say that it is your understanding that is unreliable.

Let’s try this logic instead. After the Jan 7, 2015 airing of the Dr. Phil Show, the Dr. Phil show will be cutoff and no longer available on this channel. So when does the Dr. Phil show get cutoff? Months later, years later? How about as of Jan 7, 2015 after that show has aired?

  4. Gods will has forever been for his creation to be obediant to Him by abiding in the covenant that He has enjoined to them. Our God has always been the God of obediance ” This day I set before you a blessing and a curse: a blessing IF you obey me ; a curse IF you do not.” Deut.11:26-28 ,30: 19&20, then in the New Covenant: 2John9 : ” Whosever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrin of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrin of Christ, he hath both the Father and theSon.”

  5. I am currently in the process of re-evaluating my understanding of endtime and am stongly leaning towards the idea that the 70th week has passed. What I would like to know is if there a chart available outlining the 70 weeks as you have discussed above? I find it easier to grasp ideas when I see them in chart form. Hope you can help. Thank you.

  7. I used to be a dispensationalist Alison, ie; I followed the teachings of our modern day prophecy teachers such as Hal Lindsay and John Hagee and others who followed the same scriptural error made by Clarence Larkin and other chart makers of which charts I now call “comic book theology”. My eyes were open to these subjects after being challenged by a friend to prayerfully study the subject and compare
    Daniel 9 with Matthew 26…”
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
    Daniel 9:27 KJV
This is exactly what Jesus did when he confirmed the new covenant with his own blood… Read:
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
    Matthew 26:26-28 KJV
The 70th week prophecy was all about Jesus ending natural Israel covenant and beginning a covenant with spiritual Israel.
Google the books written by Larry Shelton Jr. Such as “the greatest prophecy ever fulfilled” and you’ll be in for a revelatory treat. Peace

  8. I’m sorry brother, but you couldn’t be more wrong. First of all, the 69th week ended when Jesus entered Jerusalem on the donkey about a week before He was crucified. This is when He first let it be widely announced that He was the Messiah. When the Pharisees rebuked him for allowing this, He rebuked them right back in Luke 19:44: “…because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.” Jesus knew that day was the 173,880th day since Artixerxes Longimanus gave the decree to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple (see Nehemiah). (69 x 7 years = 483 years times 360 days/year = 173,880 days.) The 70th week could only refer to a future set of events that have not happened yet. You seem to overlook the second half of verse 26: “…and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary.” This clearly refers to Titus Vaspatian and the Roman 10th legion (the people) who utterly destroyed the second temple and the city of Jerusalem in 70AD. This is clearly outside the scope of time if the 70th week was consecutive and ended in 40AD. The prince to come (from these people) is the antichrist and the covenant is a false peace treaty yet future. Jesus did not come from Rome. The context of the passage is based on Daniel’s disturbing vision of chapter 8, where it clearly talks about the antichrist starting in verse 23. After whoever this prince is, “..puts a stop to sacrifice and grain offering..” he does the following: “..on the wing of abominations, one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction..” I have a hard time understanding how anyone can misinterpret this “prince” as Jesus! The “abomination of desolation” is modeled by the Greek Antiochus Epiphanes when he sacrificed a pig in the Holy of Holies in the Jewish temple. This future antichrist will do the same and declare himself as god in the same manner. This ultimate abomination can only happen in the most holy place for all Jews, the “Holy of Holies” in the actual, physical, third temple that will be built in the near future. You really need to curb your arrogance and peel the scales off of your eyes and stop preaching your false doctrines that truly lead the sheep astray.

For arguments sake, let’s start with Him entering Jerusalem on the donkey. Did He die right away? No! John 12:1 tells us that He arrived in Bethany six days before the Passover. Verse 12 tells us that on the next day He entered Jerusalem on the donkey, so He entered Jerusalem 5 days before He was killed. So that means that we are 5 days into the 70th week. Do you see how this explanation is illogical?

The things that were to be fulfilled in the 70 weeks were defined in Daniel 9:24. That list did not include the desolation of the Jews by the Romans, which was a result of what happened during the 70th week of Daniel, that the Jews rejected Him as their Messiah and delivered Him up to be killed.

The Jews could never fulfill the list in Daniel 9:24, but Messiah fulfilled it all in the 70th week of Daniel.
      http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/jesus-fulfilled-daniel-924-during-the-70th-week-of-daniel/

The only two subjects in Daniel 9:25-27 are Messiah and the People of the Prince. We know the People of the Prince are the Roman army, who if you read Luke 21:20, were the Abomination of Desolation, the sign to the disciples that they needed to flee Judea. The first division of the Roman army appeared in 66 A.D. and made rapid progress, and were about to enter the city. Then Josephus, the Jewish historian, says that they withdrew and left for no apparent reason (by the hand of God).

The disciples saw this sign and they fled to the mountains.

You’re right about the Abomination of Desolation being modeled after Antiochus Epiphanes. It was his army that surrounded Jerusalem which was the Abomination of Desolation, just like it was with the Romans.

The Prophecy in Daniel 9 is about the Jews and the Messiah. There is no mention of an Antichrist. There is not mention of a time gap.

If I told you that Messiah was returning in 70 days and then that didn’t happen, but I explained that the reason that He hasn’t returned yet is because there is a time gap in between the 69th and 70th day; you would say that I am a False Prophet.

If a 70 week prophecy is not fulfilled in 70 weeks, it’s invalid. To say that God did not fulfill His own 70 week prophecy completely in 70 weeks, is ridiculous!

If I told a class of 5th graders in Sunday School that verse 25 says that Jesus is coming, and then two verses later it speaks about a covenant, and I asked them what covenant that would be, they could tell me. How is it that you are so blind that you cannot comprehend that the Messiah and the covenant go together?

When Abraham took Isaac up to sacrifice him, Isaac asked “where is the lamb?” and Abraham told him that God would provide the lamb.

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, etc., were all saved by faith in the covenant made to them that the promised Messiah would come to ratify the covenant with His blood, which would atone for their sins. We look back on that event.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 foretold the time when Jesus would offer a new covenant to the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. In Hebrews 8:8-10, Paul confirmed that this was fulfilled by Jesus.

Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the LORD. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

Isaiah 42:6, “I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles.

Daniel 9:27 says that he would be ‘cut off’ at the midpoint of the 7 years. Isaiah 53:8 foretold the coming Messiah and would be ‘cut off’ which is a perfect match. “for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.”

Jesus the Messiah was the mediator, the messenger and the ratifier, of the covenant of grace which was confirmed with many, both Jews and Gentiles, so that the promise made to all nations in Abraham would be fulfilled.

Matthew 26:28 tells us ‘And He(Jesus) said to them, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

In these words we find four things which agree with the prophecy of Daniel 9:27:

      “the One” who was to confirm the covenant, Jesus the Messiah;
      “the covenant” itself, the renewed covenant made with Abraham;
      that which “confirmed” the covenant, the blood of Christ;
those who receive the benefits of the covenant, the “many” who believe in Him as their Messiah.

Romans 15:8 clearly tells us that Jesus Christ was sent to confirm the promised made unto Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, etc.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers.”

Galatians 3:17 says, “And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the COVENANT that was CONFIRMED before by God in CHRIST, that it should make the promise of no effect.”

Jesus co-authored the Abrahamic Covenant, to redeem Abraham’s spiritual seed, those of all races who believe in God, by faith.

Hebrews 12:2, “looking unto Jesus, the author(originator) and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Hebrews 12:24, “Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”

Hebrews 13:20, “Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant.”

In Hebrews 9:15-17, the covenant delivered to Abraham is identified as the New Covenant or the Eternal Covenant that Christ “confirmed” by the shedding of His blood. Then the writer of Hebrews goes on to identify Christ not only as the One who validated that covenant, but also as its author!

And for this reason Christ is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives.”

It’s telling us that the renew (Abrahamic) Covenant could not be confirmed or ratified until the One who made it died.

Hebrews 9:28 states that “Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many,” which is a perfect match to Daniel 9:24-27. Jesus’ sacrificial offering covered all of the sins that are listed in Daniel 9:24, and His sacrifice made to save many.

Hebrews 7:22 tells us, “By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better covenant.”

Hebrews 8:6 tells us, “But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.”

So the prophets pointed to Messiah as coming to fulfill the covenant, and Paul points back to Messiah as fulfilling it. I really don’t understand how this is not clear to you.

And below are all of the verses in the Bible that tell us that the antichrist will make a covenant:

  10. Very much enjoyed the overview…..the only change I hold to (after have been a dispensationalist in ministry for 30+ years) is that the last 3.5 years of the 70 weeks, was noted in detail with the revelation to Peter in Acts 10 regarding the “now-gone” period of distinction between the “clean / unclean”…. a point God felt important enough to stress to Peter 3 times…….Peter finally understood when he entered the house of Cornelius (Acts 10:34), a Gentile …………. the door was NOW wide open to Gentile ministry, the grafting in of them, into that beautiful vine. That this vitally important occasion was so noted in detail, we should also be cognizant of Peters defense in Acts 11 with his qualifying remarks to the Jerusalem council……the crowning verses of Acts 11:17,18 convinces me that the conclusion of those 70 weeks rests at this point.

    • Thank you for your comment Danny 🙂 ”after 62 weeks Messiah will be cut off” means that after a total of 69 weeks, the promised Messiah would be killed, cut off, for the sins of His people.

There are three divisions of the 70 weeks: the first 7 weeks to rebuild the temple and city; 62 weeks, during which there was 400 years of silence from prophets of God; and the final week.

“after” the 69th week, tells us that He would be cut off during the 70th week.

The text does not say that Messiah would be cut off immediately after the 69 weeks.

We know that He was anointed when He was baptized and in the temple he read Isaiah and proclaimed to be the fulfillment of that prophecy. That marked the beginning of His ministry, which started at the beginning of the 70th week.

It tells us in Daniel 9:27 that He would be killed in the middle of the week, meaning in the middle of the 7 years, which tells us that He would be killed after 3 1/2 years.

But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.

When Messiah died, the curtain of the temple leading to the Holy of Holies was torn in two, marking the end of the need for temple sacrifices, as the spotless Lamb of God had atoned for all sins, once and for all.

I hope that answers your question. To see how the New Covenant was confirmed with the Jews for seven years, read http://christianitybeliefs.org/end-times-deceptions/confirming-daniel-9-covenant-with-many-for-seven-years/

  12. What people don’t seem to understand is that the things which happened to Israel are “types/examples and warnings to us on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.” Prophecy is about patterns of fulfillment. The Church, because of disobedience and unfaithfulness will be sent into “exile” to Mystery Babylon under the reign of the Antichrist, just as Israel was sent into Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar. But a faithful remnant will overcome by refusing to bow before the image of the Beast, will be saved out of the fiery furnace of the Great Tribulation.
The faithful remnant will be resurrected/raptured as the wrath of God is poured out on egypt/Jericho/Sodom and Gomorrah. And then will there be an end to sin, vision and prophet will be sealed up, and the most holy will be anointed, when last Living Stone is added and the Capstone is set in place.
At Jesus’ first coming He came as Prophet. Now He intercedes as Priest. At His second coming He will reign as King over the earth, with His Bride, the Church.
The judgement of Israel in 70 AD was a shadow, a type of a greater fulfillment which happens in the future. But it won’t be fulfilled as PreTribbers believe. They, along with all of the churches, will take part in this judgement, and the one who overcomes (through the blood and the Word of their testimony) will inherit all things when Jesus returns.
A great shaking is coming, when Satan will sift the Church as wheat. Many will stumble as Peter did, but they will be purified and made holy. Others will fall away. Because of the decietfulness of wealth and of sin, and becuase of persecution and the cares of life, Satan will pluck the Word from their hearts. But like the wise virgins, those who understand, who kept the Word as a Lamp unto their feet and a light unto their path, will enter into the Kingdom prepared for them.

    • Thank you for your comment 🙂 I agree that there are types/examples, because God has a pattern of dealing with His people. And I believe that because Christians don’t understand that the 70th week of Daniel was fulfilled already, which invalidates that is a future 7-year tribulation period; all of the things that are based on that false concept, such as the rebuilt temple, the Israel peace agreement, etc., are all deceptions and false markers. This will cause Christians to be shaken by what Satan does, during the hour of trial which is to come. Grace and peace to you in Jesus name! David

      • it will likely be used for the falling away.

many christians will expect the temple to be rebuilt for the tribulations to start soon afterwards, but the temple will never be made, and they will be overcame like by a thief in the night, still thinking they’re safe and peaceful while the wrath of god starts falling on earth.

or if it will, it will not be desolated by any antichrist person, not in the way they’ll be thinking at least. the very act of rebuilding that temple may be a desolation in itself, because it would symbolize further defiance. the ones who rebuild it and start sacrifices would send a clear message to god, something like “we don’t accept your sacrifice on the cross nor the new covenant” and doing so erect an idol within the temple jesus built through his death, the idol being the temple building itself.

but no actual tribulation will begin as far as they’re concerned. not to them anyway. much time will pass, and they will get discouraged and fall away.

i also agree with seventh day adventists on the matter of the mark of the beast. it will not be some materialistic microchip (that part is likely another deception to trick uninformed people, and all the “666” stuff that was being put into it, into barcodes and such was done to direct people’s attention to it, away from the real thing), but faith based, like enforced worldwide sunday law, and those who reject it in favor of observing the sabbath as the holy day will be shunned and eventually killed like during dark ages, especially when god starts sending down plagues and destruction, and those who don’t observe sunday will be called “heretics who defy god” by the papacy and eventually martyred by the frenzied people who, married to the world will be so afraid of losing their lives they’ll do everything the pope tells them to.

do you accept the authority of god and follow all 10 commandments (and thus, accept his seal of authority in your forehead, meaning in your thoughts, faith, professing), or do you accept the authority of man and reject god’s commandments, replacing them with the vatican beast’s commandments, like the one where idols(statues, paintings) are okay to use for worship, or the one that sabbath was replaced with sunday to show vatican’s self perceived authority over people and god (and thus, accept its mark in your hand, meaning your actions, and/or in your forehead, see above).

    • Yes, I agree in part.

In my opinion, the world is currently under the tyranny and oppression of Mystery Babylon (Zionist and NWO elite) as a punishment. They must either turn to God or face the final judgement. A real battle is going on in the world now for the hearts and minds of men over issues such as globalism vs nationalism; male/female vs mutgender, and so many other spiritual issues, that it is impossible to sit on the fence over. Amazing to see Revelation playing out. God is truly amazing.

  13. Judgment is on the house of God, those called of God at this time. God told me a few days ago, “True Worship is Obedience” many so called Christians are not yet ready to repent and become obedient. They have one foot in this world and one in the church. However the church is the body of believers, disciples and servants. Many are called but few chosen!!! In addition, many are led astray with the teaching of the rapture, this is a lie from Satan to be sure! I ask you this question; when will the true teachers of the Word of God stand up and teach truth? False teaching is everywhere, little truth is taught and even found.

“True Worship is Obedience” indeed! If we love Jesus, we desire to obey Him, to honor Him.

Read through the “End Times Antichrist Deception” study to see how the Antichrist beast created these end times deceptions, and you will see how they become so mainstream.

It’s a really fascinating study that shows a direct link from the Antichrist Jesuits to Dallas Theological Seminary, which is one of the most highly regarded cemeteries. 😛

Many of today’s popular False Prophets, such as David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll, Tim LaHaye, Hal Lindsey, etc. got their end times theology training at Dallas Theological Seminary.

I’m not saying that they’re evil men, but I am saying that they teach false prophecy concepts that SUPPORT the Jesuits end-time Antichrist deception.

And they will have a lot of explaining to do before the Lord, because they are misleading millions of people.

I believe that the Lord will cause Pastors to learn the truth about end times prophecy, as taught on websites like this.

And that will cause them to be devastated, knowing that they have misled their flock.

And they will be humbled and broken, and they will have personal revival.

And then they will confess their sins to their flock, and there will be corporate revival, as the church learns how they have been deceived by the evil one.

We need to share these truths with Pastors.

We need to pray that our tears of mourning for the church, would be the eye salve that the Lord uses to open Pastors eyes to the truth.

    • I believe Matthew 24 is part of the confusion, because here in this “chapter” Jesus seems to be talking about the entire world.
      – v.3 “and of the end of the world?”
      – v14 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
      – v21 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

Futhermore, Jesus directly mentions Daniel’s prophecy in v15 “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)”

So my question is this, why would Jesus insert Daniel’s prophecy in a discourse that seems to be about the entire world (including Jesus return, which is at very end)?

**I have my theory….I think that the New American Standard Bible (NASB) version has it right. While many versions do not seperate the sections of Jesus’ point, that version does. I believe in the first section Jesus is answering the apostles last questions (signs of end of world), and then the last section, Jesus is answer their first question ““Tell us, when will these things happen” – pertaining to the statement Jesus made about the destruction of the temple.

In v 15, its almost as if Jesus “resets the clock” with the same explanation as from the previous (v3 -14) section (actually a little more detailed), just with a definitive starting point. (Note: i am figuring this because of the closing clause in v.14 “and then the end will come.”).

Start at v.21 and see how that timeline matches v7. and then read them parallel. Jesus is retelling the timeline; just like in Genesis 1 and 2, and just like in the book of Revelation (see pastor Anderson teaching on Rev. to know what I mean).

However, in order for me to have this completely confirmed, i need you to explain the end of Daniel 12 (in verses 11 and 12). If you say the Jesus ended the sacrafices, but the abomination is in 70AD with the Roman empires wiped out the Jews and Jerusalem then what is does this mean “11“From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.” – 1290 days is not 36 years (from death of Jesus and

      • Let me also just say that I do believe in rolling or “seed-to-fruit” prophecy where the smaller mushrooms (grows) into the larger.

Where as Adam and Eve are protoype for humanity
        Jews are prototype for humanity
        Jesus is protoptype for God
antichrist, wars, famines, etc, have been happening forever, thats not special, but there will be a much bigger version of all of this. In Matt. 24 I believe Jesus may be speaking to both the Jews AND to the Church age as to use what happens to Jews as a prototype for all humanity where eventually a man will stand up in the middle of “Christianity’ and declare himself to be God. (I don’t believe Rev. says anything about Antichrist in physical temple – I think we extrapolated that incorrectly from Daniel, etc.)
